Okay so:

Fact 1: We won't care for the city's garrison either way. Ships and heavy infiltration and likely straight up killing off the leadership, and all.
The most spending time infiltrating them would do, is get us a few hundred fewer deaths overall, and is just.... not worth it, compared to other actikns we could do instead.

Fact 2: Lannisters being weakened, even a slightest bit, is a good thing for us, with how little progress into them we have made, ever.

Fact 2.1: They are one of the 4 main faction we'll have to actively contend with (Lannisters, CoS, idiot lords and Robert, Illithids) during the Reconquest. Ergo, we should actually care about them here, yes

Fact 3: Varys is already known to Asmy and Timmie, and likely by a grapevine to all Devils and some Demins (because Timmie could've been angery at us at the moment :V) as a fake one.

Fact 3.1 He is still greatly useful excepting the (former) Golden Company-related matters, so setting him up for discovery is a bad idea until we decide to explode his Wyldfire payload all over Bobby's face.

[X] Let it pass unchallenged
makes most sense, I think.

@egoo can you explain why you want this RA?
What Goldfish said, and I don't think we should trust any Fleshcrafter to do massive/important RAs until we reliably plug the mnemo-leak into the Fleshcrafting-consciousness, courtesy of Llolt, Illithids and whoever.
Too much risk of bullshit to start on either Psionics, or some new untouched branch of fleshcrafting.

Any idea where we are on the schedule for the reconquest?

Not like a hard date or anything like that, but more like a percentage bar or what have you.

Done:
[] talking to most of the people we care about flipping.
[] preparing the ground for a massive economic upheaval to coincide with the Reconquest.

Not done:
[] Securing our territory for the time it would take to do Reconquest (Essarian undead, Qohor, Illithids)
[] Looking deeper and preparing to deal with the active threats in Westeros (Lannisters, Court of Stars).
[] Deciding what to do with the Chosen (Danelle - vacationing, Lucan - being too much of a goodie-2-shoes for his own Good, Smith's - available, not yet diplomanced, Warrior's - Diplomanced, Stranger's - we're actively looking for them by the last sign we've seen)

@DragonParadox I know you like fluff.

I added this to the Sheets just now for the Stepstones province:

x3 Higher Learning (Imperial Academy of the Fine Arts, Imperial School of Law, University of Sorcerer's Deep (Courses: Economics)

Technically three research actions in their respective fields, but practically speaking pure fluff. Maybe you can add some stuff in that vein to the reports, especially as we add courses to the third?

We should simply murder Tywin and flip the other Lannisters one of these days
I KNOW, RIGHT?!

But no, seriously, the arguments given before haven't ever convinced me we should actually let him live for as on as the start of Reconquest, I'm just too apathetic to argue the point of our approach to the whole matter.

Also, some more fun with math.

A graduated Bard from the Scholarum can earn on average up to 8 IM, sometimes more, per month just by performing in a populous city.

That's nearly three times more than what a Legionnaire makes. We do not produce starving artists... we produce rockstars!

The concerts four or five Bards with complimentary skills and instruments could put on would be god damned amazing. With the right spells and supporting effects, that could be a freaking religious experience.

/crosses fingers that a group of Scholarium Bards will soon form Planetos' first Power Metal band

BTW when was the last time we destroyed the Building Harps? Because wasn't there some ritual that could be done with them to destroy the infrastructure they made?

Our current supply of them is only three or four months old. Destroying them now would be premature.
We've build all the stuff we currently have in Pentos with them, and all the building done since the 9th month.
I dare say yeah, we had them for long enough.

Great gambit would be to steal a few just before we open Reconquest/someone wants to attack us, sowing lots of discord around.
Destroy em.
Destrooooooooy em.

Stop being so clingy and accept some basic security.
I've been tired of this "we haven't had them for long"-argument ever since we got the Lyres, and I'm still of the opinion it is fucking wrong.

The vast majority of that work was done with Titan's Tools. The lyres were mostly used for finish work.

But whatever, I won't argue against destroying them if y'all care that much. We can order a bunch more of them next month.

I'm sorry, but, like, before - alright, we didn't have the crafting capacity nor the finances.
Now we have both.
Why not tighten the security (to a reasonable level, for once)?
