Aww... I had hoped we would get Craster. Well. No point in crying over spilt entrails, especially if they went to the right place anyway.

Also: Further proof that the Old Gods are perfectly willing to give you some leeway on kinslaying under the right circumstances.
Once enough incest occurs, kinslaying probably goes from being prohibited to encouraged.

Father + Daughter = Kinslaying Still Bad!

Father + Granddaughter = Kill that motherfucker! (sorry, accidental punny)

Tree Math!

Propably more on the point is:
Other-servant?
Kill the mofo, regardless of all other factors.

She could have broken an oath, commited incest, denied him guestright and slain her father all in one move, as long as the bastard who makes sacrifices to the Others gets his entrails on a tree.

Trees can't into math, but they will take your blood just the same. One blood, two blood. Doesn't really matter. It all runs red.

Phrasing...

Anyway, wanna bet fighting all these fucking monsters is making the Night's Watch get REALLY strong PC muscles? Last we checked DP said the average ranger's level was 6-7.

Yeah... I bet it's trending higher to 8-9 now. Especially seeing as merely one trip north in our company raised one Black Brother's level from 7 to 8.

@Crake, do you mind adding in this level up plan for Malarys?

Malarys gets 9th level spells this level up, ya'll. That means he's the first of our people after Viserys himself to reach the height of mortal spellcasting power. :)

[] Malarys Level Up
-[] Class: +1 Seeker of Law
-[] Skills (8 points): +1 Bluff, +1 Concentration, +1 Diplomacy, +1 Knowledge (Law), +1 Sense Motive, +1 Spellcraft, +2 Knowledge (Religion)

Yeah, now that the Night's Watch is well funded and properly equipped, not to mention better staffed, they've got the chance to train and fight to do some good leveling. They probably represent the greatest concentration of high level martial power, at least among Humans, on the entire continent. They don't have the numbers the other provinces can throw at a problem, of course, but they have quality.

Craster was himself a kinslayer, that basically makes it open season on him for all his relatives as far as the Old Gods are concerned.

Done.

That's our second Companion capable of casting 9th level spells...

At this point, I don't think it's worth our time to try to further evacuate the North.
Didn't we swear to the OG to get all of the living out of the area beyond the wall before winter, one way or the other? I don't think we have much of a choice. The OG like us enough that they probably won't call us on missing a few as long as we make a good faith effort to get everyone, but stopping early might press their buttons in a way that their nature won't let them ignore.

@DragonParadox, considering an Other regularly took the sacrificial babies from Crastor, is it possible that an Other is laying in wait somewhere we can't see?

Just wights being there is all kinds of suspicious.

Ahh, that sick guy just got offed without us moving a finger.

I like this outcome. That guy deserved true permadeath though

Waymar: Quickcast Energy Converted Fire Lance + Sudden Maximized Energy Converted Fire Lance
Tyene: Quickened Sunburst + Sunburst
Vee: <begins Summoning Elder Fire Elemental>
Xor: Simultaneously casts four Occular Spells

Other: @%@*^&%^@ <goes poof> /is ashes now

Vee: "Damn, I didn't even get to finish my spell."

He's a servant of the Others. His soul is damned to the Void.

That is objectively worse than permadeath.

Poor Vee. Soon you and the rest of the Companions will be Mythic too.

If Craster comes back, we can always use him as a morally acceptable test subject for converting souls into raw divine energy.

I don't think it's a good idea to make what is effectively our own bronze mint. Soul mutilation is pretty fucked up, no reason to go further than erasing it. We don't really need it, and can get most of the same benefit in ways that aren't excessively cruel. If nothing else, we can recycle noodle's lemures or something if we really need soul juice.

I wasn't thinking about making Living Brass, but recreating the process used by Yss to digest souls to funnel power into the Imperial Pseudo-Deity. Clean dissolution and harvesting of energy instead of grinding fragments into a material to empower it.
