@Duesal Better worded? I'm of course not opposed to rewarding Moonsong and the Moonchaser's crew.
Yeah, it's a lot better. Alyssa's main objection here was that they were the only ones initially selected for a reward and there were multiple people who had equal or greater contributions. This neatly undercuts her concerns.

[X] Crake

That's true... maybe we should focus on rewarding those two who contributed the most.

I'm open to suggestions there.

We also haven't rewarded Melisandre for her recent contributions and helping us with Garin's oath.
We haven't gotten R'hllor's blessing on his Great Temple in Sorcerer's Deep finalized yet. What about offering her funding for a ritual to massively boost whatever it's due to be?

Also @Goldfish, I think it's time we gear Melisandre up.

We should also specify that the reward is for continued service, not just for the work they did during the battle.

They've done a lot for us/Bloodraven and as such should be rewarded, the only reason we're making such a big deal out of it is for propaganda.

Since they brought up Moonchaser then we can also point out that the Ship itself (or at least captaincy of it) was a reward for continued service.

[X] "Fighting is unavoidable in this world. Dying is. So let it be that all who die are perceived as failures and chance all others stood before either injustice or horror never taking the risk themselves? You stood in defense of Thenn when I could not, when you have a child, a life together, and have already done enough to have stymied the works of the Enemy and also those who would put Westeros in jeopardy with their ignorance or duplicity. No one could blame you for putting up your bow and setting aside your spear to raise your daughter in peace, not with all the champions I have helped raise and rally to my banner to fight in your stead."
-[X] "And yet I told you I would be heading into the threshold of Their power and rather than turn me away you came aboard for the sake of others and died in their defense. The Thenns I cannot reward for by the very act of spending resources and settling them comfortably in my own lands, they would have no more pride to hold onto if I did further."
-[X] "My Companions I cannot reward for a fight they were not there for, and they would not accept it, for I had suggested to all our course of action, to focus on denying the enemy their prize."
-[X] "Lastly, perhaps most pragmatically, I have to reward someone for this skirmish. You are right of course, a reward for Captain Moonsong and her crew, to give humble heroes for the realm to rally around, is definitely one of my intentions. Lady Melisandre too, I still owe much and plan on honoring her just as soon as I figure out a reward worthy of her service. And Yss' Champion, even bound by his oaths as they are to serve my cause, I would also favor with at least good will if not more material rewards."
-[X] "Yet it stands to reason I have rewarded all of my vassals, clients and friends for the assistance they have provided me with, as is just, for their continued and loyal service... yet very little at all for either of you beyond the bare minimum necessary to allow you to forge lives of your own, which you turned toward stalwart defense of my people."
-[X] "It sits ill to abuse the trust your former patron holds for me and spend your lives like cyvasse pieces on a board."
-[X] "What reward for standing in the defense of Thenn would you bear to accept? Ask and it shall be granted."

[X] Melisandre's reward: Offer to help arrange a grand blessing to Rh'llor's temple in Sorcerer's Deep.
-[X] You will also equip her further so she shall be more effective against similar threats in the future.

[X] Moonsong's reward: Hazard pay for her crew, medals to those of her crew who performed as exemplars in the defense of Thenn, and maybe a Mirrorplay in the future she helped write about the defense of the valley, with the Moonchaser as the star of the show. When you can reveal the truth about the Others and the march of Winter, that is.

[X] Quietly ask Nirah if there is something he desires for his work driving off the Champion of Winter.

[X] Arrange the same with Nettles.

[X] Justification for this in narrative: Most of the people you are choosing to reward are those who have served you on a continued basis who you have done little to show favor toward. This is just reminding them not only of your generosity, but the world in general of what being in your service entails.

[X] Operational Security: We don't want to hide things from people. We're keeping things a little quiet because the Others feed on fear and tales of their deeds, and spreading this tale will strengthen the ones who fled. We should make it clear that generalities can be mentioned (thousands of Thenn saw, we can't keep this secret), but that they shouldn't describe any events or creatures fought. They went North, they fought spirits in frozen barrows, they triumphed despite the foes' dark sorceries.
-[X] Yes, for the last time, this means we inform Moonsong, PCs, the crew of the ships and the Wyvern pilots, hell we even tell this to the Heralds.

We need to know what she already has first. @DragonParadox?

@Crake, can you add Moonsong's level up to your plan?

Anything for Nettles?
@DragonParadox, what would the mechanics be for tipping the claws of a Valyrian Dragon with Valyrian Steel? It shouldn't have any effect in their day-to-day lives, it being enchanted means it would grow with the Valyrian Dragon in question, and if they claw attack anything it has all the benefits of Valyrian Steel rather than mundane natural weapons. Is this doable?

Goddamn, a plan sure does balloon when you realize all of the logistics involved in giving strange magical superheroes personalized rewards involves a lot of secrecy, bizarre ritualism and definitely a pinch of "because I am the King and I said so".

There are also 3.5 things like Necklace of Natural Weapons or so.

Balerion has one.

Basically, if you can enchant all natural attacks via Amulet, you can propably upgrade it to emulate material-properties?

If we can figure out how to give a Valyrian Dragon's claws the properties of Valyrian Steel and later Imperial Steel that'd be great.

Y'all got any more of them VOTES?

[X] Operational Security: Have the Inquisition debrief the Imperial Air Force members brought along to this operation and stress that they must not speak of this action until it has been unsealed by Inquisitorial order.
-[X] Preparations are being made to ready the world to face the horrors they have come up against, but inciting a panic will only cause greater alarm seeing as how in a way, they are trusted members and officials of Viserys' realm. Their actions reflect upon him greatly.
-[X] If gossip still occurs, it will at least be mitigated by prepared stories, spirits haunting forgotten barrows is something the world is already familiar with at this point.

It's probably easier and less stressful for the smith to design claw sheaths.

@Crake, can I suggest you rephrase your OpSec subsections?
We don't want to hide things from people.

Honestly, I think that it's not necessary and that we can let this be known. It happened far beyond the Wall, after all, in a place known to be dangerous. And we won! And the Wyverns and Moonchaser were effective in fighting off powerful monsters!
IMO the men spreading details of this op is a good thing for us, and I dislike the fact that it's being hidden. This was a win, and we ought to market it as such instead of trying to hide it. People will wonder about the dead pilots and destroyed vehicles, so IMO we may as well honor them publicly and all that.

But if you do want to ask people to keep quiet, the start of this post is a suggestion of a better way to frame things.

EDIT : And you should tell this to Moonsong too, and not just the pilots and crews.

That thing the other day about using dog casters to create shelters kind of stuck with me. This doesn't do that, mostly because the spell isn't workable, but I had an idea that had to be made reality .
