@Goldfish, when can we start sticking Psionic Mind Blanks on Companions? How will that work with the item slots? It's something I really, really want to do (stack as many different types of Mind Blanks as possible on the Companions) but I don't fully understand the mechanics on how to make it happen.

We just have to commission them. Each one has to be slotless and gets a 70% markup, however, so they cost 81,600 IM each. That's 2/3 the price of a Moonchaser.

I have one on the list with this order for Viserys. We can add more of y'all really want to, but the expense and high level means we really shouldn't be able to commission more than one of them at a time.

Excellent. So every Companion will be rocking a regular Mind Blank and a slotless Psionic Mind Blank. No rush on getting them. Better to get them slowly and also accumulate a bunch of other useful Psionic items.

That said, there was a Beholder in Heaven's Shore selling Psionic items, we should go see if he's still there at some point. I bet he has a bunch of useful stuff.

I don't doubt that, but I'm banking on him having a few unique items that might come in handy. Say something Beholder-specific that Xor could use.
Maybe.
The Beholder-specific items in Lords of Madness are unfortunatly mostly centered around their eye-rays, which are very weak for Xor.
CHaining or doubling those, or shooting them around corners, would be useless.

Maybe if it applied to his Ocular Spells, but I don't think that should be the case?

We've been using money to pay off XP costs since forever and the Pathfinder version of the power lacks the XP cost.
It's not an issue of paying off XP cost of not requiring XP for crafting. The Fusion power specifically requires XP to use, it's high level, and limited to a very specific kind of Psion, so it's going to be rare. My question to @DragonParadox was mainly to determine if we could order it at all.

The XP cost of the power will only add 4250 IM (2500 + 70%), so that is hardly a concern.

Part MMMCDLXVI: Infrastructure Report on Sothoryos and Beyond
Infrastructure Report on Sothoryos and Beyond

Personal annotation on previous report: Planting Molten Skies plants approved. They are not to be consumed under any circumstances until they are deemed free of wild magic or other perilous influence. You recall the results of Denys' experiments all too well and the magic he was working was to the madness at the heart of Doomed Valyria what a spark of flint is to a lightning bolt.

Naath's public schools opened three days ago, the island's small population almost ideal to fit into such a project with more than enough room to grow with the limited immigration that its flesh-forged protections allow. Thankfully both the butterfly fever and other arcane aspects of the island had remained quiescent this month. Among the expeditions Wyla sent out to map the interior better only about one in five died, an uncommonly low number her letter assures you, though she cannot offer any such surety for privately funded expeditions. Not everyone can be as well prepared as Baelon Dortaris and his company.

Establish Public Schools in Naath (3/1)
Investigate Supernatural Activity

Further east the improvement of infrastructure in the Basilisk Isles is going well, including the creation of orphanages. After the pattern of Sorcerer's Deep these include a handful of phoenixes in teaching and healing positions that should among other benefits know to direct any of their charges with an aptitude for magic to the Scholarum.

Improve Infrastructure in Basilisk Isles (40/60)
Establish Orphanages in The Three Snakes, EBI, WBI (4/2)

The Isles' long association with both piracy and the slave trade have helped draw agents for the Inquisition based in Astapor, supposedly dissatisfied traders fleeing your 'tyranny'. Amusingly enough, according to the Commissar, one of Saan's old allies who found a new life on land directing a whole new sort of nefarious doings, many of the agents sent to Slaver's Bay would once have been legitimately dissatisfied with your rule, but silver in hand and the promise of more to come goes a long way, as does the promise of healing impossible by mundane means. The note ends on an almost wistful note, regretting the day when magical healing will be more freely available thus making it a less effective bribe. He can just live with the disappointment though for if any place needs readily available arcane healing it's Sothoryos.

Investigate Enemy Spies
Establish Inquisition Base in Astapor (14/10)

Moving on to the reports from the Inquisition already embedded in the other cities of Slaver's Bay you discover no great shifts in policy but a few hints at change, marriages between important families in Meereen and Yunkai. A sign of renewed common action? you wonder. The news from King's Landing is much more straightforward, the Gold Cloaks are firmly in the pocket of your old 'friend' Littlefinger by virtue of not just bribes, but also blackmail. Subverting them without going through him will be a task of several months for your agents in King's Landing, unless of you are willing to work through Baelish himself... one way or another.

Subvert Gold Cloaks (5/30)
Spread Imperial Times
Gather Information (Nobility)
Gather Information (Nobility)

What do you do about the Gold Cloaks?

[] Continue with the present course of action (progress needed remains unchanged)

[] Send Garin to secretly interrogate Baelish and wipe his memory (progress needed halved, risk of Baelish catching on)

[] Write in

OOC: Again nothing major on the infrastructure, Basilisk Isles rolled really well though, just one more 6 would have made a crit.

You know, why don't we just diplomance Baelish. He will flip once he knows we already control the inner council
