@Goldfish, could you please line up some stuff for us to do these trees this month? Total of 13 Tier 3 Trees needed.
No worries, we've got plenty of eligible sacrifices, both fleshy stuff in the Larder and enchanted stuff in the Armory, especially now that DP has given us the number on the weapons and armor captured on the Plane of Fire attack.

-[X] Magic Items Sacrificed: Three +1 Fire Giant Weapons (5th caster level each, +2 effective caster level each from being associated with Strength)

Since Vee did get enough XP on the Efreeti attack to level up, I'm reposting my preliminary level up plan for her. Hopefully we'll be able to vote on it today.

Not a lot going on for her this level up, just a couple new spells. Repulsion is a great defensive ward, with a potentially huge area of effect to keep enemies well out of melee range with her, not to mention the range of a lot of dangerous spells, too. Greater Angelic Aspect is probably the best self-buff spell Vee can learn, since it provides so many beneficial effects.

[] Vee Level Up
-[] Class: +1 Mystic
-[] Skills (4 points): +1 Concentration, +1 Handle Animal, +1 Heal, +1 Knowledge (Nature), +1 Spellcraft
-[] Spells:
--[] 7th Level: Repulsion
--[] 8th Level: Greater Angelic Aspect

Goldfish... Vee doesn't lose that skillpoint from her belt debuff. You do realize that, right?

How many times have you left it out?

None that I know of, except for this time. It's normally something I take into account. Next time I update her sheet, I'm gonna make it more obvious that she's suffering an Intelligence debuff from the belt (and we're gonna craft her a more powerful Intelligence booster).

Thanks for the reminder.

Interlude DCCLIII: To Greet the Land
To Greet the Land

Eighteenth Day of the Twelfth Month 293 AC

Embassy Gardens, Yin, Yi Ti

The one called by men as Cobalt Blossom and leshy by their sorcerers drank in the sun as a creature of flesh might breathe the brisk night air, as he had once been done when he had first been born a Singer under the swaying branches of the Elder Wood. Yet even in those days now half remembered through the haze of the Greendream the woods did not stretch this far into the sunrise lands. There had been something, someone here, distant and prickly, but not unkind, nor unwelcoming if you knew how to greet them in their own manner. From what he had heard upon the voyage, those of the late-born who now called this realm home were like that also, rooted deep in the soil of their land, but where there were roots there must be vines and leaves also. Cobalt could feel them now, not quite of the Old Magic of which the Singers had been born. Those of the late-born named them kami, a good word, soft and quick or sharp and terrible it could be.

"To the Guardians of the Land, greetings," the spirit sang in the True Tongue as the Wandering Maiden started her chant in the wake of the Dragon's passage. The roots were beginning to dig into the soil now, eager to be returned to the embrace of the Greendream.

"And to you, young one, greetings," came a song in the silence of Cobalt's mind, not quite as he had sung it, but pleasing in its timbre just the same. "Tell us true, would your kin truly see themselves restored in blood and risk the pollution? Pain, want, desire, all these they might be consumed by."

Young I am though I have not forgotten much that others might remember,
the lotus spirit thought. He could hear in the echoes of the others' disquiet the voices of men, their fears and their sorrows. There had been war and blood and fire, a great Betrayal that echoed over the ages, but it was not its place to explain those things to the spirits of this place for he had been wrought to look upon the world of form again and aid in its shaping, not ponder the deep wells of memory. Down through the earth and stone and seven times a thousand leagues he could hear the Voice, the Raven with his cunning words and gaze as sharp as fire-glass. He would know the words.

"Ask not the one to know the mind of many," Cobalt replied as blades of flame-kissed iron shattered, their power sinking down and down like rain into parched soil. Crimson leaves rustled without wind and eyes carved long ago to watch over the western sea first caught sight of that which lay to the farthest east.

"East turns to west and west turns to east," one of the spirits of the land said, the scent of sea salt and lightning on its breath. "So know the winds and the tides, perhaps soon men will know also, seeking a swifter path for trade and profit. It had been too long since the Albatross Clan set out following its namesake."

Time passed, enough for a blade of grass to sprout from seed as the powers of the realm sang their questions and their dreams together with the Green. Then the Heart Tree bowed its crimson crown to them and to the land and all the trees in Yin bowed back in greeting.

If Cobalt Blosom had lungs he would have sighed. He head learned enough of men while he dwelt among them to be certain it would take much talk to sate all their questions and worries.

Three +1 Fire Giant Weapons Lost

Tree of Harmonious Communication Sanctified

Tree of Harmonious Communication
Carved upon it is a woman with fine almost ethereal features, her long hair caught in in a whirlwind, upon her face a look of love and longing, Elenei. Only an artist's imagining of her of course, the tree is not old enough to hearken back to the Age of Heroes.
Secondary Effect 1: Tongues — All those within the borders of the garden can speak and understand any language.
Secondary Effect 2: Enshroud Thoughts — All those within the borders of the garden are warded against effects which pry into or alter their thoughts.
Secondary Effect 3: Cultural Adaptation — All those within the borders of the garden gain a deeper understanding of the culture of those with whom they interact.

What do you do next (Viserys PoV)?

OOC: It was a lot harder to pull off a Lotus Leshy POV than I thought, still I think it was worth it given how important they have become to the Empire as Scholarum teachers and other support roles.

Huh i have completely forgotten about the singers

@DragonParadox how are the children of the forest growing how much has their population grown and do they have any leveld People yet ?

shal we get a research report or a report on all the books we have been looking through this month (like the ashes of the Ymeri mansion one)

Can someone remind me about the meeting in Limbo? I'm coming up blank.

I also don't know what we're supposed to be doing there. @DragonParadox?

Either way, let's stick with Prime Material for now. What were we supposed to do in the Reach?

Also @Goldfish, I just realized the sacrifice was a tad incorrect. Fire Giant weapons and armor aren't Living Brass, so you need four instead of three to be sacrificed to get the necessary CL 20 for a Tier-3 Heart Tree. I'll be accounting for this in updating the Larder.

You guys wanted a bunch of Psionic items and I think yo have Jeyne talk to the monks about training, though looking at the new minor action list only the buying seems to be left.

I can certainly do that in the background if you guys prefer.
i'm pretty sure we had Jeyne talk to the monks last time we we're in limbo, you know after the illithid with the bronze mask

We decided it's up to Jeyne if and when she wants training, we weren't going to push that. She seemed more inclined to adventure.

This is mostly a shopping trip and can be backgrounded.
