Mythic Shadow of Doom?
If we want to recover any remains of the Nine, we shouldn't use SotD. Undead aren't subject to the Petrification effect, so they would all be taking an additional 30d6+30 Searing Fire damage. Maw of Chaos is going to inflict a huge amount of damage over the next 22 rounds, but there will still be remains. An average of 135 Searing Fire damage will just turn them all into undifferentiated ash. Sure, we can use magic to sort the various Nine into individual piles, but there won't be anything to learn from them unless we first use Revive Undead on them, which I'm not willing to do.
I think we should actually get down and ensure they don't borrow and wait out the dimensional block, or something.

We nuked, fucked off to escape retribution....
And now let's double down on nuking.
:V
See above. I don't care too much about the remains, but others do, so no reducing them to dust on the wind.

We can always Scry for them later. Only one had a Mind Blank, two if the Old Mother did, so they won't suddenly go dark for Divination in the next few hours.

Then don't SoTD.
But coming down and "ensuring" does not really mean WMD-usage, merely coup-de-grace'ing anyone else left standing.

I changed my plan to have us wait a few minutes to see if anything comes out while we speak with Liomand. That's enough for the next update. We can decide what to do next after that. I think we need to speak with Liomond right now, though, rather than making him wait while we hunt any of the other Nine who may have escaped. Survivors are going to be rare, however, except maybe the Fext. 132 untyped damage each round is a lot to tank, not to mention the DC 32 Will save required each round to avoid being Dazed for one round, which they aren't immune to because that's not a Mind-Affecting effect. Each time they fail it, they're trapped for another round of 132 damage.

Awwww man I kinda wanted to see how much further we could've pushed this charade. Poor Silvertounge, if Maelys had listened maybe they'd be better off?

But oh boy that was some impressive levels of battle crafting. Man and I was proud of me and my group of Level 8 folks somehow driving away an Adult Blue Dragon...

We pretty much got precisely what we wanted. Everyone of note dead or dying, and Liomand looted. Only the most expendable of the nine is still around and if the theories that he was near their Saan hold true, we should be able to pick him off later.

Now comes the fun part. Looting a city worth of undead.

Damn, dude, that's pretty freaking impressive. Level 8 is just on the edge of starting to get the skills, abilities, and gear to pull that off, if you're lucky and good. Blues hold grudges and are schemers, IIRC. Did ya'll earn a long time enemy from that?

Anyone else imagining Qyburn skipping around town like a demented school girl?

I'm surprised we were able to get the Old Mother, whatever the hell she has become, to manifest. Good job, dude.

I don't understand why, but this guy is really likeable

Yeah, me too.

Upon meeting with us (whilst disguised) he did not asks who we are, he just asks 'can you fight me?' in the most casual tones.

This guy, THIS guy is making my inner battle-addict ROARING.

A fellow Blood Knight.

Finally, someone who could appreciate the battle itself and not whether he's victorious or losing. Just a fighting-junkie.

Roose: "Qyburn. You are the one who told me that it becomes dangerous after three hours."
Qyburn: "My Lord, since our last meeting, I have uncovered secrets that have greatly enhanced my vigor. The price was well paid."

Right on the tailwind of looting, everyone knows comes... CATALOGING THE LOOT!

And Maelys gets a nice statue in our Hall of Horrors.

Time to tell him sadly yes..... But also make an offer. A chance to truly live again.... He seems honorable enough that we can offer him such

Yeah, I have high hopes for Liomond. There are all sorts of things he could do in the Imperium, depending on his preferences. Who knows, he might end up leading a Legion, serving as a combat instructor for all the Legions, getting a nice piece of land somewhere out on the frontier, or just adventuring for the next few years.

We Resurrect him, slap a Mind Blank on him, finish gearing him up, and he'll be ready to rock.

I feel like he'd be happier being taken on high level fights alongside Companions, much in the same way Sandor Clegane is doing. Mostly a hunch on my part. A battle junkie wouldn't be satisfied training people.

The chaotic energy required to walk into a meeting between a council of supervillains and spin a thread of bullshit to lure them all there specifically so you can try killing them all at the same time is tremendous.
Also, for the record, I see neither need for them nor did I use any chaotic energy.
This was just a spot of good old fast-talking.

Yeah, that's my assumption, too. We have no shortage of missions he could go on, and we have just about every level range of adventures, from babies to near Companion level, so we can definitely find a place for him to fit in.
