OOC: There is no need for you guys to clean up the Deep One infiltration here, they have been dealing with things like this for centuries. Not yet edited.
So... needless to say, besides terrifying the crap out of the Council with this revelation, making our points about Deep One threat not being dead and buried, we have earned some good graces with this act?

Just out of pure petty spite, I think we should try speaking with Galzerai and let him know we both almost got punked by Far Spawn.

'Hi cousin, just wanted to inform you about a Deep-One plot to set us against each other. I know, business as usual, but I thought it would be the correct thing to tell you.'

I want that sarcophagus. Give me. Give it to me. Also yeah we should tell our cousin about this plot. Tis a shame we can't loot him but there are other dragons.

Thing is, more and more I am starting to like the idea of courting him for an ally. No one does a "let's you and him fight" on us. We pick our own enemies, goddammit!

That go both ways though, we pick our own enemies, that mean we wont be manipulated into fighting someone, but we wont let them manipulate us into not fighting someone, spite don't get to decide who we fight either, we will decide whether to fight Galzerai ourselves, neither the illithids approval or disapproval will sway us.

You know, I loved Viserys getting annoyed at the representative's lack of hypercompetence and ironclad calm. That was a nice touch. We mocked Zherys for his perfectionism, but we weren't entirely free of it ourselves, were we?

This is a nice surprise. The protocols will be absorbed and refined by the Inquisition.
Calling it now : "refined" means "dumbed down to work without magic".

I'd like to contact Galzerai too, but I really have no idea how to best go about it.

I was thinking making it several degrees more paranoid instead.
Yes, that's what you meant, but there's sadly a difference between what we want and what people cna actually implement.
Although it is true that we don't seem as concerned with privacy as Vialesk is, so we can probably go even more paranoid if we want to.

[X] Continue to try to contact the wryrm Galzerai
-[X] Look for a non-tainted envoy of his to pass along a message that we would like to speak to him of the events that just transpired
-[X] Until then do a bit of shopping in Vialesk until you hear back
--[X] Start with browsing their menagerie
---[X] In particular we want samples of
Aqueous Creatures which we can give over to the Forges, but we certainly don't mind seeing what else is here
I'd like to contact Galzerai too, but I really have no idea how to best go about it.
Galzerai is currently out, and we've never actually met him, so best we can do is poke a minion and tell him to pass along that we want to speak with him.

Nothing worse than a busy Monday morning... :(

[X] Duesal

EDIT: Okay, I'm sure there is worse, but they still suck.

Actually that's something we should know by now.

@DragonParadox
The fake envoy certainly knew if the Dragon had a real envoy in the city, that's the most obvious way to break his cover after all.
Is there?

@Duesal
If not we'll propably have to try something else.
Damn, I wish we had taken Mythic Lesser Wish. A Mythic Sending can get a message to people we don't personally know.

I thought the fake envoy was an actual envoy, just that he happened to be compromised. It was the perfect cover, he technically passed the background checks so nobody would be looking too closely at him.

There is a decent chance we can pay someone to perform a Sending to Galzerai in Vialesk. Someone is bound to know him well enough.

No, he never worked for the Dragon, or even met him as far as I know.

He was some kind of advisor or council aide in Vialesk.
