This was good.

Now, how to leverage this correctly...

Do we want to pick a side? Do we like this guy, or the one we already diplomanced?

We are not throwing away months of effort on the Azure Emperor, so we should probably just try to convince the Orane boy to focus on immediate threats to his rule like the army camped nearby and the BE and his kitty demona. We don't need to be Viserys to so that.

[X] You are an agent from the West swerving between two oaths and reconciling both by marrying their efforts against enemies to all mortal realms as much as their princes. So long as the leaders across the world can set aside differences when contending with the threat from the Shadow as much as dark gods like She-of-Many-Colors, the (you carefully do not use the word 'petty') wars and disputes between both can wait.
-[X] Knowing much about the enemy at the gates, so to speak, you had hoped someone high in the council of Pol Qo could aid in convincing him that right now, in this time and place, his greatest threat is not the Scion of the Seafarer to the south, but instead She who's greed is unmatched, wrath boundless and malice never-ending, and not far behind her old evils from Yi Ti's past as much as that of the West coming back into light to darken the day.

What if we straight-up told her than unless she got herself a Mind Blank we wouldn't tell her who we were?

I want to see how good her anti-Divination wards are.

Yeah, surprise-surprise, when two significant, non-moronic figures are in an effectively unstoppable conflict, but are probably near-equally useful, and near-equally non-tardy, choosing one is hard.

[X] Crake

@Crake, Long as we give him lore about Devils/Demons/Daemons/Illithids/Others/Fey (asshole ones)/Efreeti and what little we got out on Bloodstone Emperor, I'm okay with them warring it out.
Ideally, ofc, we should try to grab whatever lore he has to share too, but Asure's probably much, much better source even if we can't.

Good point in light of-
"Please feel free to set aside whatever commonplace guise you have chosen to adopt. I sense no fire within you as one might find even upon ice scoured by the frozen winds atop the Bone Mountains. I would think you all the illusion of some shadow-spinner save that you cast unblemished shadows of your own?"
@DragonParadox, does she not immediately suspect/recognize Mindblank-like effects, then?
Too little exposure to high-level magics for that?

Probably yes. All shugenja can sense their element (and with meditation other elements too) around them, but it is not the strongest of divinations. Wearing lead lined armor for instance would block it just fine.

All nice and true, but not helpful.

She is barred from entering her brother's presence because she speaks of bad omens, so giving her even worse to talk about won't help her being heard.
We need something positive, not to sell to her, but to the Orange in charge.

The alternative is to go "fuck protocol" and use magic to talk to him despite everything. How about sneaking up and using a surprise Mindscape spell? Remember, the spell we used against the Herald of Ymeri in the cursed Volantene mansion?

I'm open to other ideas, I'm kind of not super invested in this vote at least in so far as how we go about delivering the information.

I just would like to point out, if anyone votes "lol I'm Viserys Targaryen btw" we are implicitly fucking blowing any chances with Azure regardless of all other plans we might hold.
