A simple plan would be to cast Soul Vault on ourselves and whichever counts as the main host body, Dispel Possession on the body he is currently possessing and be ready with Entrap Spirit.

He will be forced out, either manifesting as a spirit in which case we trap it with Entrap Spirit, attempting to possess one of us in which case it is trapped* or attempts to return to the host body in which case it is trapped*.

*Automatically by Soul Vault.

@DragonParadox, regarding Hua Fen (I hope I didn't misspell the name) is she interested in hitching a ride on our Grand Expedition Fleet and visiting Sorcerer's Deep? It's been hinted for a while but so far that's all it's been -- hints. And with the latest misadventure of almost becoming a Rakshasa's dinner save for Azema's timely intervention, is she interested in learning some way of defending herself?

Either way, I'm pretty sure that you misunderstood, because that is not a thing we do. There's no need for Diabolus Ex Machina; the players generally do something in every plan that offers us opportunities for interesting writing and even when they don't there's enough going on in the world that it remains interesting.

In fact, there has been only one time that I can think of where we got bored, and that was during the Hokage election. We didn't throw a DEM, we timeskipped.

  2. As for the second, it's probably best to reveal her full reaction in the narrative where I can be more nuanced, but given her actions during the attack itself I can confirm that she is at least inclined to gain some skill in self-defense.

Can someone more familiar with ASOIAF lore refresh my memory on how a Warg perceives the world while moving between host bodies?

There's not much about how they feel when moving between bodies.

There's when they're in the moment, basically like a lucid dream where they do a bunch of things animals do, and then there's "waking up" where they get tiny aftershocks of their animal adventures. For example, if you skinchange with a direwolf and eat some hapless deer, you might wake up tasting blood and guts.
 
I believe there's some indication that is for untrained reflexive warging too, so someone as skilled as Rickard might not be getting those sensations either.

Could easily just be the same as the possession spells in DnD, with Possess Animal being one of the earlier incarnations, and Ride Along Possession being one of the higher level subtle abilities.

[X] Be cautious, this is not Rickard's body any more than any of the thousands of others he has worn. Rickard cannot leave his human host unattended for long, however, else he will be missed and questions eventually raised which could make the identity less useful to him.

If Rickard takes possession of the body before we are ready to capture him, Dany will keep us updated to his movements so that we can ambush him at the most opportune time.
---[X] While investigating Stone Hedge, ask Bloodraven to quickly tell us more of what a Warg is, especially one that exists without a true body of its own; is it a common spirit, a unique form of Undead, an Incorporeal entity which is technically alive, self-perpetuating psychic energy, etc? What manner of spell can reveal the presence of a disembodied Warg, if there is any such thing. Can Wargs even exist in between host bodies, or do they transfer directly from one to the next? If they can exist between hosts, in what manner do they perceive their surroundings?

Do we have a way to keep him from jacking out of the body once captured? Like when we release him from the Seal to interrogate I mean.

Edit: Also, I think we could probably restore the guy's mind. We should probably at least try after all is said and done, as I think it would earn some gratitude from Lord Bracken.

I do Beta work if you need any. Best way to meet fellow creatives. I have been engaged with English degree, holy duties as Dish Jesus, and working on a new project that I plan to make into my first actual story. And I have gone from my blood and gore prose, to poetic prose. This is funny cause I hate poetry. And my stuff is compared to poetry a lot.

There are a few different methods that might work, depending on what a disembodied Warg is actually considered (Undead, Incoporeal, etc). Once he's captured, I figure then will be a good time to speak with Bloodraven about how to best contain Rickard while extracting him from his current ride.

Hopefully we'll be able to restore the mind of his Human host. That should definitely be something a Greater Restoration or Miracle can handle.
