Nah, dude, you're fine. Sometimes it's even a neat reminder of the past.

The only thing we would ask you to watch out for is not to bring up topics that might have been something we were arguing over, since some things are better left dead and buried.
Yeah, I figured as much. I've been in a group nearly destroyed by something like that before, so I'm not exactly eager to spark that somewhere else.

Fair. I really liked the fluff but the last thing I want to do is damage anyone's suspension of disbelief with house-rules. I'll re-roll this with a template to lower the rakshasa's CR somewhat and RAI for the Vampiric touch.
I don't think that's necessary, DP. Azema could have reasonably gone into that fight with Resist Energy, Tyche's Touch, Conviction, Freedom of Movement, Shield of Faith, and Aid, and that's not counting the use of any scrolls or Alchemical stuff.

Alternatively, could you reroll the fight, expend both pacts and have Azema dimdoor out if that's not enough?

I do not want to have something in the quest that was nor rolled by consistent mechanics. Don't worry though it should not take me long. I have all the roll combinations actually earmarked this time.

Okay, but keep in mind that Azema isn't alone there. She has access to buffs from at least Nuri, Waymar, and Tyene, and that many of them have long durations, potential of several hours, or in the case of Tyche's Touch, 24 hours. If they were expecting any kind of trouble, it would make sense for her to get buffed up.

To distract myself from the idea that I might have killed Azema (sorry), could the Moonsinger Goddess be this gal maybe?

Ashava - Monsters - Archives of Nethys: Pathfinder RPG Database

Long ago in the wild and lonely fens of Elysium, a collection of helpful marsh lights coalesced to form Ashava, the True Spark. Ashava is constant motion, spinning and twirling in steps that soothe all who watch her dance. Although she often remains at a distance from those who watch her, she...
Chaotic Good, Dancer, Moonlight, all the classics.

  • [X] Viserys and Richard will seek the guards.
-[X] Dany, Rina and Rhaella will go to the village to investigate this further.
-[X] Before splitting up, Viserys will Wild Arcana Hindsight to see the Storm and hopefully get a better feel for events, as they might influence investigations.
-[X] Use Telepathic Bond to remain in communication.

It's either that or Lolth's daughter. :V

In this case she was alone, that's why the fiend timed the attack as it did. In any case edits made. Azema is alive at 14 HP after using every last dreg of healing she had and rolling several bluff checks to make the enemy fight stupid. Fortunately she also rolled the same against suggestion so I could keep that part.

...am I a horrible person for looking at this and immediately thinking "Can we shank this, actually"?

DnD has gotten into me.

For anyone wondering the 'template' for the rakshasa was just -3 AC down to 22 and -7DR down to 7 so Azema actually had some chance to doing damage, everything else was intact. I'd call that CR 9

DP revealed that no Empyreal Lords survived the Sundering.
Sure about that?
Just because there are none around doesn't mean they all died, she might have become a true goddess and build her own minor plane instead of going down with Elysium.

From an Empyreal Lord the step to true Godhood is a very small one and it would make the "All EL are dead" technically true.

Take it up with DP. He said it, not me.

No one has seen the Empyreal Lord since the Sundering, then again if one of them did choose to become a god they could have chosen a new name to hide their shame or symbolize rebirth and defiance in the face of the Void. There are scholars who have dedicated their whole lives to those sorts of theories .

It was implied someone from Heaven rebranded as the Blind God out of shame, wasn't it?

It's posibile, you guys did not explore much of that lore IC.

Anyway vote closed. This should have less rolling than the 40 odd rounds of combat of the interlude.

Possible, but if they were talking about this Damerrich he must have changed personality a lot to become the Blind God.
Totally different portfolio.

Edit: Though maybe Heaven has no One-Steve-Limit and they were talking about another angel or archon named that.

Think about it. He's Heaven's executioner, then fights in a war against something that wants to annihilate all existence. That snuffs out life and joy before it's time forever. Not as part of any cycle but senseless slaughter on a mass scale with no hope of redemption, no value attached to the sentence, only pure, unmitigated hatred beyond even inhuman comprehension, a lust for death unmatched anywhere else.

One would become a non-violent pacifist under extreme circumstances if the mind had shattered before the utter incongruity behind their actions even up the point where everything they had sworn to uphold, all of the death they had delivered, had been all for naught.
