A Day for Kith and Kin
Tenth Day of the Eleventh Month 293 AC
There was a time when the notion of leaving Relath with over two-million marks worth of trade goods would have seemed only slightly less probable than inviting Stannis Baratheon out for a drink in the local tavern, but times change, Relath himself had changed, proving himself a stalwart ally through many a battle. Thus as Dany's nameday draws near you have few preliminary meetings with various Trading Houses then leave the Lord of Tolos to hammer out the details, that you may then give the contracts a final polish later.
Who knows, maybe Stannis will enjoy that drink some day, you think with a touch of whimsy as you draw back the border of worlds for you and your mother to step through.
"My well-wishes to the princess," the Brine Dragon calls after you, likely just remembering he aught to be doing that by custom, though you suspect still somewhat bewildered as to why entering the ninth year of one's life would be of note though it brings with it no new strength of fang and claw or arcane knowledge.
"I shall," you reply simply and sincerely before completing your spell.

Dany's nameday is to be quite a large affair, not out of any great desire for formality on her part, but simply because she has too many she wishes to invite—all of your companions of course whether they be called back from the icy north, far-off Yi Ti, the poisoned lands of Ghis or even the City of Brass itself, but also Kyla Fairwind and Ysilla Royce, unsurprisingly eager young mages of House Frey and a somewhat bewildered Samwell Tarly. Kyla had supposedly needed to take the poor boy aside to assure him that he did not have to buy the best of all possible gifts, and that he should simply take the compliment of being invited to an essentially private nameday and buy whatever gift seemed right to him.
No one of course expects a gift from Ysandrix, the little Blue Dragon has been putting every coin she could glean towards her hoard of artworks, poetry and exotic goods, but she seems to have taken the concept of a nameday with at least good cheer at least, 'a time for mortals to bring tribute for the priceless gift of draconic wisdom' she had proclaimed it in a faintly chirping voice had you make use of all your skills as a diplomat not to smile at.
Also summoned back to the Deep for the day are Valaena along with Theon and Asha Greyjoy, making this all the more a gathering of high lords and ladies, in their case bearing gifts of the Summer Sea. Diana had not without regrets chosen to remain with her ship, just as Nuri could sadly not afford to leave a nest of Oni on such short notice, but other than the two of them the incarnates had returned to the Deep, many of them taking the opportunity to ask Lya if her new understanding of how to divide one soul into two bodies also meant they could be made stronger or their arcane power deepened.
Yet even with all these guests and the possibility of summoning more from among your friends and allies there are three more guests Dany would wish to invite, though their presence would prove more delicate each in their own manner.
"Maester Aemon, Bloodraven in his Varys persona, and Jon Snow?" you ask dubiously. You can certainly see why she might wish to invite them, but the hurdles are just as obvious.
"I already asked Maester Aemon and he said yes," your sister replies. "This isn't a Targaryen day like the dragon-binding, it's just a family day, if anyone deserves to lay down that old cloak aside for a day it is him."
"And Lord Bloodraven?" your mother prompts, doing her best not to give the old sorcerer's name any particular emphasis.
"Oh he hemmed and he hawed for a bit, but I am nothing if not persistent." Dany's brilliant smile fades into a far more solemn expression. "He needs this, even more than uncle Aemon. He needs to feel like a just person for a little while, not Bloodraven terrible arbiter of doom and destiny, not the Last Greenseer, voice of the dreaming gods, just Brynden Rivers."
Your mother looks down at Dany and sighs, though there is a smile on her lips as she ruffles Dany's hair. "I am proud of you, sweetling."
For once Dany seems a little taken aback, though confusion quickly fades to happiness as she hugs your mother in thanks. Letting go she turns to you again and continues: "I didn't say anything to Jon, since I know things with Lord Stark are in a delicate equilibrium. If you think I should just wait for next year before inviting him that is alright. I can still talk to him in the dreamlands and he can conjure me a gift. They do say it's the thought that counts, right?"

OOC: You guys are not going to lose out on the trade or anything, since Viserys will still look over the contracts and possibly do a little renegotiating if Relath does not get the best rolls.
