Damn, I thought at worst the Fakir would try to sell Maelor to Malarys, not that there was a thriving Traitor catching business.

"So you are going to sell me my worker's skull"
"Yesss"
"You are aware that technically I owned that skull already, the costs of the rubies barely covers the costs of the rest of his organs"
"Ah, but he was planning to betray you"
"And that I knew and had planned for, it was going to reduce the costs of his employment by 70%, I take it you also plan to cover the remainder of his debt?"

Oh well, at least we get to loot the Fakir.

Refluffed Admiral's Bicorne* (which Viserys [and near everyone else] should also get the effect of on an item somehow.)

Untyped +5 to all Sailor and Cha checks.

Constant magical voice amplification to be heard within 100ft

+2 morale bonus on attack rolls, saves, and skill checks to allies within sound of the wearer's voice (including the wearer).

*Really autocorrect? Nicotine?

It was also implied that the whole "traitor catching" business was just a ploy to get closer to Malarys, notable for being a powerful enough near-archmage to have an apprentice as dangerous as Maelor still.

So really it was less about seeking a profit and more just trying to turn one bird into a gaggle.

Unfortunately the bird was packing an grenade launcher in his back pocket.

Well it will take centuries for them to grow up in the normal world... Hm.

I'll think on it.

Also fuck Ymeri.
The gods have a tap on 100% Black Tar Fey Juice in lys. I bet paying them to give the cats a bath in the ley line once every few months would speed that right up.

If is doesn't, we can pair them with blink dogs to let them hang out in the presence of fey. Then we get to watch what sort of crap teleporting kittens and puppies can get in to. That's practically it's own mirror vision program if we need a financial justification for it.

Give him a nice staff and a shield charm too, and he'll be tracking lost items to pay the rent in no time. :V
He's got lots of experience finding bear asses right? He should be fine.

I believe that was Ymeri trying to corrupt a Weirwood, not sure it was a Heart Tree though. Then we ate it.

I don't remember us growing a Heart Tree from Ymeri's power yet, I don't recall growing a Heart Tree North of the Wall either actually.

That is what I meant. I don't know if we will vote to consume it or not. We just might eat the power.

Speaking of Flames. We doing anything with Grandpa Rhloor soon? It's been a while since that interlude right? Guys definetly not Asmodeus and dang if that wasnt a good interlude. I'll be honest guys up there below Best Coatl, Old Gods and Yss now.(In that order)

After the revelation I am more confident we can reform him, i've always been of the opinion that he is far too useful to ignore or make an enemy of, specially when he has so many reasons to have us as allies.
Let us just seed a little bit of heresy here and there and he will slowly become more pr friendly.

@das_slash I think all this time R'hllor has been just as conflicted about what to do about us as we have with him. It's not just purely political--we're a dangerous enemy to make because it seems fit to split his base straight down the middle, with half his clergy calling the others heretics and vice versa, each convinced Viserys is either the Devil himself or the Messiah (Azor Ahai in this case).

Way not worth it on balance, and we haven't gone out of our way to antagonize him either--in fact we've reached our hands out and tried keeping his more powerful servants in positions of stability/power.

I'm proud of that little guy.

I wonder if he will try to solve things himself or call the mindblanked strike team to make the Fakir dissappear

In all honesty I don't really know how to play the "Goblin Market". I kinda just wanted Viserys to be a heavy beat stick in case of a situation. I guess I will vote for Duesal. At least we won't be confronting anyone immediately.

[X] Duesal

I liked seeing our subordinates manage the Goblin Market, it would be nice if Viserys could assist progressive in a slightly passive way rather than doing grunt work.

Show the power of minionmancy.

He could "have a talk" with the Fakir and convince him he is the better investment, "Give me 5 years" or something like that.
Alternatively we could have him appear with a new collar/bracelet whatever he is comfortable with, and make up to make him look like he is not doing well, that would serve as "punishment" from his master.

If not, strike team.

When they can all disappear into Viserys' cloak, I don't see why should we do otherwise, really.

We could always Varys him. A scroll for simulacrum shouldn't be too hard for them to come by. Not sure if anyone cares enough about this guy to notice whatever we do end up doing to him, so we should probably spy a little first.
If he dies people will assume Maelor fell further into debt to cover his tracks, I'm sure it's a common end to would be plotters.
I do not want to replace him, I don't think we have anyone who could stomach his trade.
Well, maybe Tor.

Edit: it's seriously annoying that he thought he could get the most out of killing Maelor and presenting him to Malarys, it makes it clear he is small fish when it comes to plotting.
He could have gathered a lot more favor by either luring Maelor into debt to him by offering him more potent weapons, or by contacting Malarys and having him witness another "secret" meeting, but no, he had to try and ruin everything

"Erm, I need to see a lawyer"
"I AM A LAWYER!"

You're not wrong, but he also didn't ever think much of Maelor, beyond his skills. His value wasn't worth investing much effort into him--something tells me that someone is suspicious of Malarys, or our operation in general, which is where this plot-thread leads. The Fazir is small-time, with a puppet-master who thinks they know something.

That's not necessarily a city official or something, it's likely a gang leader, or a Devil actually acting on another Arch-Duke's orders in machinations afoot in CoB reaching out for another tool, which ties back into the plot-thread of "what convinced the Fazir to make an enemy like Malarys, because let's face it, capturing or killing Maelor was just a ploy to approach Malarys and extract all of value out of him".
