I wonder how many people sent to infiltrate us ended up converting to Yss, decides to stay in a city that does not smell like shit and has free healing, or otherwise ended up going native.

I guess the Inquisition would love to have a few double agents, have we rolled for that?
"Indoor plumbing? What is this?"

"The water is safe to drink?"

"Free magic healing?"

"Commoners taught to read and perform arithmetic?"

Inquisition agent listening nearby, 'Not another one. This takes all the fun out of catching the spies.'

"Symon, still hard at work tearing down my heinous Empire I see. Edgar, I am quite encouraged by your group's most recent paper, keep up the good work."

"Yes, Your Majesty."

"Of course, thank you Your Majesty!"

"Carry on and I expect to see you have earnt yourselves invitations to this year's Dean's Ball, Lady Teana ensures me my confidence is well placed."

"Thank you, Your Majesty."
"Thank yo..."

@Goldfish If "Tyler of the Lakes" is any indication, the archetypal Lannister spy is someone with his family held literal hostage against his "better judgement" to ensure exactly that doesn't happen.

I wonder how much resentment in his ranks there would be if the least among them knew all that he offers to their families should they die in "leal service to their betters" are the bare minimum expectations of what we grant to our basic citizen.

We should just have blatant advertisements.

"All enemy spies please report to the Inquisition for re-assignment.

All family held hostage will be re-settled in Sorcerer's Deep as a signing bonus.

Understanding there are those who may themselves be monitored or otherwise bound, discreet reporting can be achieved by continued infiltration attempts, your new handler will apprehend and brief you on the remaining process.

Please have a good day and remember Ignorance fields the largest army."

They've probably uncovered the salt caves by this point. :V

I'd argue that the minimum standard of living is way higher in SD than most anything available in Westeros though. It has the best public medical care on this part of plane for one thing, and the runners up are all part of the imperium. Most Westerosi lords don't have Panacea on demand.

Don't forget to vote, ya'll.

  • [X] Seek out the mage's body
-[X] Dany will use Find the Path to locate a hidden sanctum upon the ship where a mage could safely hide while still interacting with the outside world to attack us through his proxies. If that is unsuccessful, Viserys will duplicate a Discern Location spell using Wild Arcana to search for a soulless, yet still living body somewhere aboard the ship.

Since the Sultan seems to believe the gig is up, should we double down on Scalathrax by telling Amrelath to make an appearance, o just move on to the next name generator name, *rolls*, Belegeoth the Flaming Scythe?

"A clever ruse, bit should you be wasting time here instead of defending your Warehouse from my draconic ally?"

"Just give it up Prince, we know it was you all along"

"Of course, I should not have presumed to have fooled you, but if I am Scalathrax, who is that burning your weapons?"

"S.. Scalathrax!? But how!?"

Of course, Amrelath might not want to give up the credit, but we could turn it into a sort of "Dread Pirate Roberts"

*Varys swoops down from her hiding spot*
"Fear the flame of the Dread Dragon Scalathrax Ashbringer, who is I, hahahaha"

Actually I unironically want to see reactions from more spies considering again that our OpSec is still mostly "the fuck you gonna do about it?" See Tarly and the Darkenbeasts.

Also fun fact. For that in specific, I'd imagine the Fungus Forge being allll the way in Lys played a not insignificant role in foiling any Westerosi attempts at sabatoge since its another physical location that needs to be infiltrated and neither Tywin nor Bobby B have easy access to teleport.

I want to fuck with more people like our 'man of mystery' friend Tyler. Just like appear out of nowhere, like "No, I'll be in touch with you." And then rescue him from an Inquisitorial Strike Team and hand him some "credible intelligence".

@Goldfish

There are multiple skulls we didn't destroy and Melisandre explicitly stated the mage wouldn't have left those unattended, we shouldn't either.

Well that and its directly hooked up to a Divine Hivemind with our Uncle on speed dial, and most of them (sanctified weirwoods) have people patrolling the area to slow down threats. And we have Intimate familiarity with each location, so we can literally drop-in out of nowhere right on top of them.

I'll add in that we keep an eye out for them, but the mage's body is my current focus. He's bound to have some good stuff to loot and leaving that vessel empty right now, in the heart of Old Valyria, is just asking for something to claim it as a new flesh suit.

I think they are only just barely less important than his humanoid body, they should be made a priority.

There's no guarantee that a being capable of climbing in through the fleshy end couldn't come through the skulls either.

So, somewhat sudden, but what do you guys think of "mass tagging"?
I'm guessing the answer is "depends on the circumstances"? I don't see most people caring, but a few might, I have been summoned a few times and it doesn't bother me, but I like to think of myself as an statistical outlier.

Care to elaborate?

Edit: unless you are not talking about "tagging usernames", in which case my first thought is "uh?"

Done it a few times, was on a receiving end a few times.

Honestly, I can't comprehend what is wrong with informing namevoting people - which are the only cases I can possibly remember of mass-tagging - that the vote's direction has changed.

No idea for what people may use it outside this thread, I'm not active there :sour:

Re: Mass tagging, one more notification hardly hurts. Granted, am on the site for basically this quest and two others so.. Could potentially see how someone swamped already with pings would be annoyed.
