I also enjoy reading my old posts, i even wonder how the hell i came up with some of the jokes.
It is a slightly masturbatory experience.

I make jokes constantly, so what I imagine is some of them are utter snoozefests, but I make so many of them that a number of them wind up being total hits. Or at least that's how I picture it. With nearly sixteen thousand posts I can't imagine even a third of them being half as amusing as the one I quoted.

So, your jokes are like the Imperial Guard, there is a ton of them so at least a few are solid Adamantium.

Or like Lychees where you have to wonder why you bought Lychees instead of Rambutans and then every once in a while you get a really good batch of Lychees and it's all worth it.
Or maybe I like fruit too much, Golden Kiwis anyone? I just found out about them thanks to Costco, I despise regular Kiwis but the Golden ones are amazing. (I call them Kwivis to tell them apart and because that's how my niece used to say the word when she was younger)

So, time for the hard questions, who did we lose to the inevitable Saltsplosions that i deftly evaded along the way? There's a particular devil that left on a high note, but by some comments i'm guessing there's more?

Azel and Snowfire committed a mutual kill in some hidden exchange of comments.
It was a true tragic duel. Well, presumably a tragic duel with a lot less dignity and a significantly higher percentage of emojis.

The Doggo nooooooo.
Such a tragedy, they will both be missed.

Edit: I tried to look for a 13th warrior meme about
"As you say, foolish. And expensive. We will miss Angus tonight; we will miss his sword."
But apparently i'm the only person who liked that movie/book and its way too late to make it myself.
btw, the original book "Eaters of the dead" was translated to the very metal title of "The devourers of corpses" in spanish, which i love.

You are not alone.
At least on the movie, never read the book.
I wonder if Bonebreaker will want a wing graft after seeing the Pegasi?
He's very much connected to Earth, I doubt he'll want to loose the ground under his hooves.

Enlightened Magocracy
[Regional]

In your homeland, schools are free, common and the teaching plans mostly set by mages
Prerequisite

Raised in Sorcerers Deep or any region of the Empire with established school-system.

Benefit
Gain +1 Knowledge (Arcane, Planes, Nature and Religion), you can choose one of these knowledges as a class skill

Special
You may select this feat only as a 1st-level character. You may have only one regional feat.
Something I have wanted for ages, which was recently liked so I remember it.
Would this be a valid regional feat?

It's fairly weak, so I can't see why not !

How about letting you make checks untrained as if you had (HD/2) ranks, but not making them class skills?
That'd be a proper "general knowledge and personal experience" kind of feat, appropriate for people who completed basic schooling and lived in SD but who didn't go on to full Scholarum or University classes (if they had, they'd be in a class with Knowledge skills as class skills and would have ranks in them).

It also has precedent. There are many stronger feats that do something similar - one of the Wedded to History feats does this, for example. And of course there's Jack of All Trades, which is the same thing but stronger.

True, this is in line with the core-book feats though, like Persuasive or Alertness.
Nothing special, but it's a feat I could see even on level 2 commoners or something like that.

Of course anyone entiring a real class or even just the Scholarum would retrain that immediatly.

Vote closed. This is going to take a little longer than susual since I have to make the changeling's sheet.

  • [X] Seek out F!Renly and invite him to chat over a nice meal
-[X] Ask how he's been, make sure he hasn't been too roughed up by his general situation
-[X] Get his take on the state of the Stormlands and of Westeros in general
-[X] Ask if he's learned any magic since you last saw him, in general get a basic idea of his level and class and any special abilities
--[X] Also see what gear he's already got, and what gear his Fey Creature Horse has
-[X] Make arrangements to see him equipped and trained over the next few months. You support his expedition, but he's not going unprepared.
--[X] As part of this, point him in different places where he can recruit companions for the journey (the Scholarum for a mage, the Circle of Battle for warriors and rogues, the Orphne Court for a fey guide, etc).
---[X] For good measure, take F!Renly directly to the Orphne Court, introduce him to the former Orphne King, and help him bargain for a Fey guide. It's better if they know each other and train together before setting off.
-[X] For training, F!Renly will have special access to the Scholarum libraries to learn of the Feywild

So with that level 20 NPC classes challange. How do animal sacrifises to power magic work. Can i take full ranks in animal handling and breeding and arcana and just cast magic by sacrificing herds of cattles. Because i feel like with that level of skill i should be able to basically have thousands of cattles ready to sacrifices. It is cruel but would it work. Like that angle that was bound to that town, but not unwillingly, how many cows would it take to do that. Is there a skill for ritual magic.

@DragonParadox I bet Renly is really confused why a King of millions is taking so much time out of his busy schedule for him when he's just a "Fake Renly".

But from our perspective, there has never been a more "real" Renly to us. One was a boy who traded away his feudal obligations for a song, the other took his duty to a brother that wasn't his real brother so seriously he bent over backwards to make sure their rule would be as secure as possible when he abdicated the position. I hope Viserys makes that clear, since I see no reason to pretend like he's any less important to us, considering he's actually done us many great services, even if he doesn't know it yet.

Would have to confirm with @DragonParadox how ritual magic worked while magic was on the low-ebb, but animal sacrifice is like trying to squeeze water from a stone while its in full bloom now. So it would be worse than useless while it's gone.

And I believe ritual magic worked somewhat, but they were things like performing a complex rite for forty minutes to create a spark of mage-light. Sacrifice of inherently magical materials that maintain their enchantments even with low atmospheric ratings of magic in the world (like Valyrian Steel) would produce greater effects according to Brynden, as he gave us the ritual he used in the first Blackfyre Rebellion during Red Grass Field.

I'm 99% certain that cattle isn't an appropriate sacrifice for any magic worth the name. Otherwise the setting would be full of it, and Bloodraven wouldn't have been sacrificing Valyrian steel for a few luck bonuses or whatever.

If nothing else i could tame bears and have an armoured bear cavalry, with like a dire bear general or something. Isn't there a feat that allow you to talk to animals. And bears are pretty good for low level combat, especially if i armour them up in plate male or something.
