@Goldfish, and please don't get me wrong - but could we get the lsit of upgrades from crafting for this month?
It's too hard for me to get though the list by myself, havng no experience wit hthat side of DnD, but it is pleasant to see thew numbers grow :V
I'll put something together soon. Probably this weekend.

Plan updated. Let's see what Yss can tell us of this thing before we like it further.

Anything else we should ask specifically?

[X] Try to study it further
-[X] Viserys will use his personal Interplanar Whispering Brazier to contact Svitran in Sorcerer's Deep. Ask him to learn what he can of the Ooze Chamber from Yss, specifically anything related to the artifact occupying the central platform. What is its purpose? Is it still functioning? If so, is it working properly or has it malfunctioned? How can we safely interact with it, if it is possible at all.

would ask more about the chamber itself than the plug, buuuuuuuuuuuut. That probably isn't a big deal.

Normal People: "Let's not go into the death-trap filled with lovecraftian abominations and mad artifice?"

Normal Researchers: "Let's do painstaking research that takes months or years to see any progress and probably not even accomplish what we originally set out to do, and a bunch of stuff we didn't."

Normal Adventurers: "Let's go on an arduous quest to get information about the McGuffin and its operation before our many enemies catch up to us and put on the time pressure, limiting what we can do."

Viserys: "I have a deity on speed-dial for this."

Gotta love our Snek God.

A combination between a magic eight ball and a vending machine, yes. Not a Gacha Game though. That implies a certain degree of gambling, and while that can be the case with some Gods (Tiamat) only an idiot tries to beat the House.

[] A City plagued, the Lights Wandering: Visit Gogossos. The city holds secrets of desperate flesh-smiths, creatures strange and twisted… But also strange, mysterious wandering lights have been seen around Gogossos lately.
Likely Foes: Bio-constructs, Sinspawn, Dragon-blood creatures, ??
CR: 5-???
Just as a side not, @everyone - this now takes some priority, someone is operating in Gogossos, and letting anyone claim a Flesh-forge, however operational... that'd be suboptimal to say the least.

... Son of a bitch. We'll need to send a strike team there soon to clear out the place, then we have Saenena and our Kyton and Vee all start working together so we can get our first actual Flesh Forge.

So, basically:
1) Start dealing with Yi Ti and Golden Company
2) Clear out Ymeri's mansion
3) Start dealing with Illithids
4) Claim Gogossi Fleshforge
as standing goalposts for next month, as far as I see.

That's a next month first thing we do thing. Also that CR 4 is so deceptive it isn't even funny. Like you know there are more powerful ones. I say next month we do a couple rounds of divinations.

Wait. What? Ymeri's mansion hasn't been dealt with? I thought Zherys cleared that out ages ago.

What the fuck is Zherys doing this month? I thought he was on this.

The guy manages a city filled with his peers, all of which rose from an environment where competence is nurtured but knives are sharpened to get ahead, and which magic was used as a measuring stick for how above everyone else you were. The unbridled arrogance does not do well for creating a strike team at higher CR that you would trust to watch your back. So Zherys focuses on running the city or putting out what is currently on fire, instead of poking a snake that's content to sleep, because he's very much isolated as a person.

OOC he's expanding government services across Volantis because no one acted like this was an option worth pursuing during the initial voting phase and I've been too busy to put together some kind of retroactive vote for the dozens of side characters and what they should be doing.

Keep in mind we could just go straight to abstracting these things and only having control over minimal aspects of the world if only four or five people participate in compiling data for the turn plan. I'm sure they would hold no complaints about having to do less work. :)

@Crake while you're online I think we should put genuine effort into flipping House Caron of Nightsong and House Dondarrion of Blackhaven within the next two months. Both are leaning towards Robert out of lingering loyalty... but it doesn't take a genius to see the man's been doing a shit job as king, and all of the Stormlords have been rankling at the Lannister prominence not only in King's Landing but apparently encroaching in the Stormlands as well. Even if the Lannisters have been smart and not overstepping too badly, the rumors from the crown city are at least enough to get our foot in the door.

Even with the bad parting at the Trident, Ser Criston Storm of the Misfits is still the half-brother to the current Lord Dondarrion. Say we decide against bringing him to the meeting, he still could give us a very accurate read of the man and how best to approach him.

You know what?

Fine, you win.
I don't like to rely solely on you in this, and that's how it was this turnvote entirely (and a while after it).
Goldfish may or may not manage to get the system, but I couldn't - so yeah, whatever.

I'm for simplifying this aspect of quest down to barebones, or removing it entirely, now.
Even if we'd lose a lot of worldbuilding with that.

I don't foresee much if any change happening in the way turn-votes are held, lurkers are jsut too uninterested/shy/uninvested to do that, seemingly.

Ahh my apologies then. I honestly thought his action this month was dealing with this mansion. I must have mixed it up with something else. Sorry.

Edit: I am for converting the various province actions to their core dice values and simplifying that system while only micromanaging the Governor and PC characters.
