And I'm off to waste another four hours of my life doing after hours team building crap.

While still struggling with fucks-not-giving, and general apathy, I wrote up a few Adventure Actions (basically, Major actions) for next turn.
DP approved.
[] Into the depths of Jungle: Many horrors plague Sothoryos - but one that you learned of lately, perhaps more horrifying than many. The descended of Venthari flesh-smiths, even more maddened than the blood-drinkers whom you cleared out - and in much greater numbers. Slavers, and creatures of horror they are - but perhaps the time has come for them to be gone, like their long-forgotten kingdom.
-[] Use divination to target down the rest of Degenerate Drow - and hunt them down via a party of Companions.
--[] Also, locate the bones belonging to millenia-old old deep-dwelling Drow expedition, and recover them for further questioning.

[] The fire, snuffed out: With Volantis having sworn to you, perhaps it's time to openly close down on a threat that persisted in the city ever since your first visit.
-[] Break into Ymeri's mansion, and clear out all of her remaining influence - with the mansion itself, if needed.
-[] Specifics of the forces will include mages with fire-stopping spells, as well as summoned Water Elementals.
1) Drow are bad news. Drow Fleshcrafters are worse news. Drow Fleshcrafters that apparently still have some form of society, that endured through waning of magic, and is on the rise now? *shudders*
I want them gone, because they are a threat to everyone in Sothoryos, and maybe beyond (eventually).
Also, they are a source of lore on fleshcrafting... perhaps that something that Valyrians have been searching for, hmm..?

2) Fuck Ymeri, but also Fuck Ymeri.
That mansion has been there, closed off, for far too long. Maybe we'll get another shot at stealing her power. Maybe not. But either way, it should be cleaned out, and yesterday.

Also, am adding the following Minor Action to next month's list:
[] The collection of lore you gathered is vast indeed... And it's about the time those far from matters supernatural started to profit from it.
-[] Share the lore and books from your Library with your Vassals and loyal Westerosi lords.
-[] Share the following:
--[] Canticle of Decay (+3 on knowledge rolls regarding Daemons; +2 to gather information if one studies the book for one day before making a Gather Information or Diplomacy roll for the purposes of locating a cult [the bonus is permanent once read for those with perfect recall])
--[] Journals of the Betrayed (+5 to all knowledge rolls relating to the Others, their magic, and their interactions with mortals. A reader who studies all the volumes for one week and makes a DC 12 Intelligence or Wisdom check at the end gains a permanent +5 to Knowledge, Spot and Sense Motive rolls to detect and identify creatures affected by Winter's power.)
--[] In Memory of Death (After two weeks of study a reader who succeeds on a DC 20 Knowledge (Religion) check gains +3 Competence bonus to Knowledge, Spot, and Sense Motive checks to identify Vampires or beings affected by their power. One who succeeds on a DC 20 Gather Information check gains +3 on all future Gather Information checks to learn something about the activities of a Vampire. A reader that succeeds on a DC 20 Intelligence or Wisdom (reader's choice) check does not automatically shift alignments to Evil upon becoming a sentient undead (conditions that would strip all rationality such a becoming an allip negate this insight).
--[] Reign of Madness (History of the Deep Ones Unlocked for research; +2 to rolls relating to the subject.)
--[] The Bitter Cub (A person reading this book over a period of one week gains +2 competence bonus to Diplomacy, Bluff and Sense Motive rolls regarding Undead. Any reader can make untrained knowledge rolls relating to the Undead up to a DC of 15 (rather than the usual 10).
--[] Bestiary of the Bizarre (A reader with at least 8 skill ranks in Knowledge (Nature) may study this book for a week to gain a permanent +2 competence bonus in Handle Animal checks regarding magical beasts and a +2 on Knowledge (Nature) to identify magical beasts.)
--[] Notes on Devils, Fey, Demons, Rakshasa, and other assorted beasties (roughly equal in bonus to Canticle of Decay)
-[] Make it clear for the Westerosi lords, that not only are they to supply their troubleshooters with this knowledge, but to learn it themselves. In this day and age, nothing less can be asked from a person on power than to know how to recognise the signs of dangers lurking near them.

Keeping everyone aware with this post, so as to make sure that there is no accusing me of "shadily deciding everything ways before the turn-vote".
I'm not stealthy about these things :V

Also, I get a distinct feeling, that we'll be at war with Illithids starting this month, and won't get any time to plan next one, let alone properly act against Timmie.
Jsut a hunch.
If we are lucky, most of next month gets Yi-TI'ed, it seems. We have gotten very little about it yet... But it has way too much to deal with, I just know it

I hope that this isn't the case. But I can see it happening. We need to start with the water monsters soon I guess.

Edit: We have a divination chain on an attack on the Deep don't we?

House of Mirrors can anticipate sufficiently large forces bare minimum. Infiltrators or sudden assaults less so. It certainly wouldn't be a breeze to attack with armies of low level mobs without it pinging divination in a big way, which is the only practical means that the Deep Ones have to kill a lot of people. Again, cities condense a lot of people, but a lot of people dying is hard to hide and takes time to set up unless you wanna be discovered, and population density isn't great enough in the countryside to kill that many people quickly without doing it the old fashioned way and with giant waves of gribblies.

We could ask how many people like Jeyne exist within our empire and that could give us a number. If it hits Mindblank then we know of at least one.

Edit: Or how many are capable of psionic in our empire? There should be only one.

Speaking of Jeyne we really need to power level her. @Goldfish @egoo I hope she was placed in one of the many teams set to obliterate Winter lairs south of the Wall?

Narrowing this down takes being able to recognize signs of Farspawn activity and feet on the ground to canvas for it. Luckily we now have shiny new Inquisition branches in many of our major cities where they put the most people in danger, and we are doing exactly that right now.

I would think we could use Detect Abberation but unless we start blasting the entire kingdom with it infiltration is still possible.

Edit: Detect Psionic auras is a thing...good to know.

If you're using Wi-Fi to shit-talk right now that's all that needs to be said about the matter.
Giant and/or incredibly deadly spiders, check.
Mostly dangerous wilderness, check.
Weird accents that basically became another language (Undercommon), check.
Weird cultural norms, check.

Underdark is Australia confirmed !

Barrow Raiding, Winter Slaying: Jeyne Weaver, Roger Reyne, Danar Crowl, Alyssa Crowl, Mors 'Crowfood' Umber, Ser Bonifer Hasty, Ser Gerold 'Darkstar' Dayne, Dirriz the Faerie Dragon, Soft Strider, Shadow Tor, Amrelath.

That's...
Quite a line-up.
Even if I don't remember half the people on the list, let alone their levels/stats.

Kudos where they are due, @Crake, you did one hell of a job getting that sheet in order.
Even if I can't read through province-actions to save my life, let alone plan them, even if I'd like to >_<

Wait do you guys remember how Varys found us? Or found out about us chasing him? He used a spell on the stones correct?

Edit: I might have a plan.

I remember who all those people are !
  1. Mageling we saved twice
  2. Her knight friend (barely a Reyne, but whatever)
  3. Danar and Alyssa were Bloodraven's pawns. Now they're ours. Alyssa used to be a Grafton.
  4. Mors is a northern Lord. Mostly irrelevant. He saw us get our second Mythic Rank.
  5. Hasty is a Knight. Mostly irrelevant.
  6. Darkstar is an overproud dick.
  7. Dirriz is a Faerie Dragon. He has levels in Oracle, or maybe Sorcerer.
  8. Soft Strider - child of the forest ranger.
  9. Shadow Tor - we made him with Tor's memories and a cool Shadow template.
  10. Amrelath : is Dragon. You are now a minion.

That is a great lineup. Kudos, @Crake. I'm particularly invested in seeing Jeyne Weaven, Roger Reyne, and Darkstar grow. Darkstar doesn't need much help, he's already like level 7 or 8 IIRC, but missions like this will help hone him into a proper PC. As for Jeyne and Roger, they both just need to level ASAP.

You caught the reasoning why I couldn't remember them well enough :V

For real though, that's about as much as I can remember on them, Dirriz, and Roger, yes.
Kinda sad, that.
We're at the point that we have too many PCs for me to remember anything but a line or two of

I feel like Mors deserves a bit more recognition. He was the reason we went to House Thenn at all, he was there when we captured the Mythic Ancient Wight Lord, he witnessed our second Mythic Tier, and now he's one of Amrelath's companions.

... Speaking of Amrelath's companions, he should now have three Fire Giants. @Crake, are they mainly just getting used to living in Sorcerer's Deep for the time being?

Reminds me of something that makes me feel weird and slightly uncomfortable.

All the interludes, that have been immediately brought under "canon" status, they are good...
But that many? And dealing with subjects as important, and as large as worldbuilding of the scale they took up?
The way he started to speak for characters/organizations OOC acting in some way as a fact?

It honestly feels like @Crake took up being the co-qm in some aspects.
And I'm not complaining!..
But, well, I have a reflexive "ABORT, DO NOT WANT" reaction to players taking over worldbuilding to that degree over other quests I witnessed.

@Crake, I trust you, to not use this in any negaative a way, and not abuse anyone's trust into making the world more positively aligned to us, than it has any right to be.
I also enjoy the interludes, write-ups, and the such quite a lot.

But I feel immensly weird, by how much of an impact on world-building you are making compared to what was before, and I feel the need to voice that, before that feeling starts growing into anything more negative on my part.

(I hope I'm making sense here. I also ope not to offend you, DP, or anyone else with this)
