Why not use curiosity as an excuse to help?

Coldly, curiosity without warmth or joy "Smith, I see you are hiding a truth about yourself. I offer you a bargain. Explain what affilicts you to the best of your ability and if we, mages of the eighth circle can heal you in a short time, we shall do so

And if we succeed, then I trust you will find some way to recompense us for our efforts.
(Like, a discount or something)

Cold, mildly interested in the affliction, but not being kind about their problems, and in it for a bargain of somesort

As a note, since you are not dealing with devils you are not obliged to maintain a cold front to be respected. That said you have no idea how he will react so if you guys want to adopt that strategy that is of course fine, just pointing out why Viserys took care not to show empathy earlier.

It's a time sink I'm not eager to get into now. We have too much on our plates as is. I only checked this at all out of hope that there would be a ready-to-hire smith, but unfortunately the one we found is afflicted.

@Duesal, Don't forget to purchase one of the waypoint talismans so that we can arrive directly in the city next time, rather than on the blasted outskirts.

The explicit point was that it would only be something that we attempted for a couple of hours at most, but this is no hill worth dying on imo.

Speaking of Godzilla, just watched it last night. Now, I do agree with the critics of the first film where they complained of too much human scenes, but critics are now lambasting the new film for having not enough human development...:jackiechan:

Anyway, I wanted to watch gigantic monsters beat each other up, and that's what I got. Totally worth it.

Pffft my "favorite" so far is that one critic that complained the movie spent too much time on kaiju fights and not enough time blasting American Imperialism and Trump.

I can't easily check while at work, but we're there any other special materials we might be able to purchase here?

I know Elysian Bronze was mentioned, but I seem to recall other stuff which might be for sale, like Celestial Mithral and Angelskin.
