"There's a time and place for everything Viserys, and this isn't one of them."

"This is the only time and place to get illuminated scripture. I want to commemorate the occasion."

"Commemorate apostasy with displays of wealth?"

"...Dragon."

"...oh. Yeah. Okay. Checks out."
I've been after this for a while, and DP just told me over PMs it would work. It also serves as a nice filler until we're ready to talk to the Lantern Bearers.

@DragonParadox, of whatever rumors of Lucan we've heard while in Oldtown (especially the rumors of his open warfare against the Deep Ones), what circle of magic did he display? Were we able to find out if he cast any particularly showy spells?

Most people do not know enough about magic to get that sort of thing right, even if the rumor were to have been started by a mage who knew what he was talking about it would get distorted in short order

We'll need to get a closer look when we see him in person, then.

By now if he's been keeping up with the Westerosi adventurers he should be at minimum a Cleric of the Sixth Circle, though he could easily be of the Seventh Circle. Pair that up with the Father investing a lot of power in him up to and including a potential Ring of Mind Blank, and regular fights with monsters in Westeros. Yeah, I can see it.

The angels are the real problem, though. As others have noted before, that antimagic field is a massive problem.

@Goldfish, has Lya got the Tattoo Guardians made for her yet?

OK it looks like we have a decent consensus and this is hardly a contentious vote.

  • [X] Pose as a wealthy but pious Westerosi wool merchant and commission a full set of the finest illuminated holy texts and scriptures of the Faith of the Seven. Say you intend to build a sept in the Crownlands.

Unfortunately not. She's crafting a standard model for Siduri as practice for the advanced version she will be making for herself next month.

Mmmm.

@DragonParadox would giving Yrael Holy Ice at will be an acceptable replacement for his old ability to create javelins/greatswords?

I would also knock off force cage and wall of force since this gives him the battlefield control I wanted to add to his SLAs.

Edit: the elemental flip IS weird, but ice is nice, and it could be made for easily enough.

I considered having Holy Ice as one of his 5th level prepared spells in the loadout I recommended, but settled on Fickle Winds due to it's utility and ability to buff multiple people.

It's a nice spell itself, though, with good utility as a barrier or offensive option.

I figured it would fit element wise, but I assumed incorrectly.

Archons are immune to electricity. Go figure.
