We should pump them for lore. The unattached Master Liu will get a much better bargain there then Viserys "Totalitarian Police State" Targaryen.

Hm...

- everything they got on the Long Night
- what they got on Burny and the gods of the Freehold (they have their roots there)
- what they got on Yi-Tis history and Asshai

Adding to this based on what he said he had:
1. Lore of kingdoms fallen and where to find them (like hell we're not eventually poking at the ruins and stripping them of everything)
2. Lore of gods living and dead (think gods like Yss or the ancient gods of the First Men) and possibly where to find them
3. Eventually lore on the order itself

That's too broad for this exchange, IMO. Pick one to focus on, then we can really dig into that subject.

Makes more sense for Master Liu to have a particular area of interest.

Extraplanar connections of the Faceless. Would be akward to explain to our allies why a human killed one of them, for example.

...we can probably give them targets, and get paid in return.

As in, we can slip teleport markers all around Sallosh, and have trigger-happy Faceless men kill the leaders of undead for us... Without even knowing that we are using them like that :V

We can get them Intel on uber-undead guarding Timmie's fortress and get ourselves a distraction.

We can do quite a lot with their hatred for undead :drevil:

I'd rather not.

How are you going to get the Faceless Men to only go after Illyrio's forces and be persuaded to leave the harmless scholarly undead be?

and be persuaded to leave the harmless scholarly undead be?
Those are:
A) but a miniscule group compared to all other undead there, and are the least dangerous ones.
B) Living more-or-less in harmony with humans there, and Faceless will very likely take at least a moment to investigate that first.
C) Were going to quietly pass away with time anyway, weren't they?

I'd rather have Sallosh cleaned sooner rather than later, and we certainly don't have any time for that.

Taking out at least Lich-like leaders of warmongering undead will be a fine way to get ourselves some more time on that front.
And with out subtle assistance, they can certainly pull that off.

It's happening when we deal with Illyrio and assault the fortress. Pointing the Faceless at Sallosh isn't necessary, especially with the potential collateral damage. Yes, the kinder undead were going to fade away, but that was going to be years from now after the new living Salloshi had learned the lore they promised.

If you want a target nobody cares about, Sarnath is only a few hundred miles away.

@DragonParadox, can we give him a tiered list of our desired rewards?

I want all the lore, but that's probably only going to be accomplished over a series of dealings with them.

Focus on one thing. It makes more sense for Master Liu to have a singular area of interest rather being scattershot and just wanting "everything".

You think we should place a Scholarium branch in Sallosh to help them parse through the lore? Also the kinder undead are fading away after teaching their lore? That is convenient. We only have to deal with the less kind undead now which means ghost vacuum time.

[X] Accept
-[X] Secrets for secrets. You want historical lore of Valyria, Sarnor, Braavos and the world in general.
-[X] Ask Dorren what, if anything, they have already learned from the tablet, and the manner in which the information was acquired. We would prefer not to waste time on avenues of research which have already been exhausted or proven fruitless. Of course, he need not reveal the sources themselves, merely their methods and results, if he is concerned with confidentiality.
-[X] Slip the tablet into our cloak upon accepting the deal, then only remove it when we reach the Divination proofed room of the Shadow Tower.
Likely to get us something to poke in detail later.
