Great interlude, @DragonParadox. We don't get enough Richard POV, IMO.
Is it bad that I've basically stopped being surprised by the levels to which certain among the Seven's Chosen appear to be willing sink to try and hurt us?
Whatever else they may be, the Chosen of the Seven are Planetosi Humans, and thus more prone to being dicks. It's like a planet populated by nothing but Thayans.

We'd have 6(!) different deities taking part in fucking Tiamat up.
And that's the least it will take to deal some real damage.

In canon D&D most gods are really wary about fucking with Tiamat, for example one of the Vestiges in the Tome of Magic had as backstory that he pissed of Tiamat so much not even his own (Good) patrons would dare save his soul from her.
Eligor - Therafim RPG
She is, even if you strip all the divine power, still one of the oldest dragons in existance and those fuckers never stop growing in power.
What says that we can't scry a glamored target?
We need to know what to look for.
Our divinatory solutions have failed before, when the people who knew the people we were looking for had no clear idea who to look for.

If the person who talked to Richard's mother is not still using the same disguise we can't easily find him.

This reeks of Baatezu medling, not the Seven.

Let's be fair. The Seven are too incompetent for this kind of shit

Now now, credit where credit is due, even a blind, limbless, half decapitated squirrel can occasionally find a nut if you give it long enough.

That's not to say that they're intelligent, heaven's no, but we should at least treat them like every other enemy we have.

So I'll get the ritual carving knives while you prep the fungal pods. We'll strip them of everything useful and throw whats left on the compost heap.

I fully expect Lucan to have level 8 spells at this point. He's probably the champion the Seven have invested the most in.
Hard stop here @Duesal.

The 7 aren't infighting just yet but they are NOT working together. Not with their champions all pursuing their own agendas, and not with Lucan allowing them to do so.

Edit:

Logic would dictate the fathers champion would at least try to keep in touch/direct the champions of the other 7.

Rather then all of them just wandering around willy nilly.

I'll just follow my hunch and say that this wasn't Lucan. The guy doesn't seem the kind to pull a long manipulation scheme like this

So I'd even think that the Maesters were behind this.

Not necessarily. The Father at least has been investing a lot in Lucan, and as to my evidence for the other Seven helping -- Baelor's mace which was subsequently taken by us and blessed by the Old Gods and now wielded by Rina, that was gifted by the Warrior.

And even if they're disagreeing right now, the Father is still the traditional head of the Seven Who Are One. By default they're meant to listen to him. Even with cracks forming in that particular arrangement, I could still see the Father having the other Seven give Lucan at least limited blessings.

Too bad we can't get Burny and Seven on this, even as energy fields only :(

One is a ginormous sack of shit that will have half the gods withdraw their support, and the others hate us :/

Oh well, we will probably find some more approachable/useful minor gods in the interim.
Our bureaucracy machine is sure to help us find more freedom-oriented good/neutral deities.

I give the operation "fuck you, timmie!" about 2-3 months to start.

...that's the best guess, anyway.
GCs are still there at Yi-Ti after all, but not for much longer...

Honestly that'll make the eventual break when we kill the bastard all the greater. The-Seven-who-are-one would probably devolve into The-One-who-is-standing-on-his-own-because-the-other-six-are-tired-of-him-forcing-them-to-waste-their-power-on-an-idiot.

On a side note, I've been eyeing the Father's Scales of Justice forever. Same with the Warrior's Sword and the Crone's Lantern.

If you ask her she will say she is the eldest. Dany is not sure but would not exclude the possibility.
I'd disbelieve that on principle, and Danny can ask the dragon ancestors most ancient if she want to know.

Edit: @DragonParadox actually that's a good point. DP. Where the hell are all these dragon ancestors spirits hiding out?

Was it a gift to Lucan or to Baelor? He did serve them loyally for centuries.

You don't advance because your god says so. Usually you get closer to them as you advance (and sometimes the opposite happens).

But divine boons usually don't/can't grant more experience points.

Anymore than God's can (usually) take them away.

Eh none of that actually matters.

@Duesal imagine how much egg is on the father's face if he did wrangle them into blessing Lucan.

[X] Plan Magnanimous King 2: Electric Crafteroo
-[X] "Then be welcome in my service, if you would enter it."
-[X] Offer them enough coin to set themselves up in a modest manor near the university district, or separate flats if they don't want to share a roof. (3,000 IM)
--[X] Also state that you will be equipping them as befits those in your service.
-[X] As that process will take time to complete, you would offer them more immediate duties here in Sorcerer's Deep for now, giving them time also to consult their options on a base of operations.
--[X] Ting is asked if he would be able to instruct others in the way in which he fights. It's certain that he will not lack for volunteers after his showing in the Circle of Battle, if he is willing to teach.
--[X] Denys gets a well equipped Masterwork laboratory for private use, though he can also use the Scholariums facilities of course. Ask him to work with Taena and Waymar on the new alchemy courses of the Scholarium and let Waymar show him around the Alchemy Works to see if his expertise would be useful there.
--[X] Ceria gets a nice private study and a stock of books copied on royal dime from the library (no restricted material). She obviously gets full library access. Ask her to pass on her knowledge, both mundane and arcane, in the Scholarium. Unless she is willing to work with the Inquisition. She definitely has the skill.
--[X] Criston is offered a training position with the Inquisition, to aid the training of anti-spellcaster specialists.
---[X] All of the above would carry with them pay at the usual rates.
--[X] After Court is concluded, extend a private offer, in as much as it can be made one given your status, to trade tales over a meal during their stay in Sorcerer's Deep. Any concerns that might remain by the time they accept can be laid to rest then.
-[X] Retroactively increase the Red Temple funds to 30,000 IM.

If any of them retain their individuality then they must be in the deeper reaches of the Dreamlands
...

I was mostly joking about the elder dragon retirement home thing.

Edit:
By all that is holy I want to go play Yahtzee with a dragon who died of old age.

Twilight should make them just weak enough that they are fun to hang out with. Rather than terrifying.

@DragonParadox, how are Jazzirian's efforts in finding himself a cleric?

I want to blow a shitton of money down the drain and raise him a temple already, dammit :anger:

"The Temple of Cute" sounds about right.
[:V]

in all seriousness though, it's kinda weird that Yss' temple is comparatively way cheaper than the ones we are raising now.
