Fact: A healthy Red Dragon can survive for several centuries on a diet of stone.
Hypothesis: A healthy Red Dragon can survive at least one decade on a diet of Magisters.

No way that is enough for a manor house. He should be able to afford a modest home, though, with plenty left over for furnishings and other essentials.

Now that I think about it, we might have to drop this line of research, I think we have been too effective in ridding the world of Magisters, and so probably don't have a sufficient supply.

With a budget of 250 IM it's certainly affordable, even with decent staff to go with it.

That said, I agree with Artemis that he's probably going to dump this into alchemy and just keep trying to advance in the Legion.

EDIT: That, or if he's smart he'll start investing and making those funds grow. He could make this a seed fund and come back to a nice cushy retirement.

Wind House would probably be worth a lot more under current economics.

Meaning that Viserys becoming moderately wealthy by being a thief catcher and extortionist is actually quite extraordinary.

Though maybe not, since he cheated copiously in a time where he didn't have much competition.

I'd forgotten about that. It's been a while...

Still, property prices in SD are probably a bit higher than that, considering it's rate of growth and the influx of immigrants, many of them quite wealthy.

Thinking about it, I'm kind of curious about what the local economy of SD looks like, @DragonParadox, @Azel. We pay our people well and the economy is booming. Does that translate to island-wide gentrification, the creation of a legitimate Middle Class, etc?

That depends. What do you define as a "Middle Class"? The term is rather ambiguous in sociology and depends a lot on local standards.
 
Hey, could someone give me the "temperature band" definition here?

And, hopefully, a clear distinction between what temperature makes what band and what effect that has?

Googling have me very little, besides Fahrenheit temperatures which I don't get at all.
Not that places that have them have any distinction for bands lined out either.
