Sure, that makes sense.

We weren't!?! doing that as policy?
I'm pretty sure DP ruled we could replicate Divine spells with Wild Arcana, since we get Miracle next level-up anyway so the restriction is moot.
Except that would allow us to use 9th level cleric spells freely whereas miracle caps at 8th. Personally I hope that we are allowed to, but to say it's pretty much the same is very incorrect. Like really wrong
Edit: (summon earth jinn rather than Dany using stone shape btw, they get multiple uses per day)
He changed his mind back to ruling it couldn't duplicate them.

Ah, crudbuckets.

Does this mean Viserys can't cast regenerate without getting miracle? @DragonParadox? Ouch. And an unfortunate retcon, as I think Viserys used wild arcana for just that for a dude in Brravos to get him to call off his assassins.

I don't find blowing up the mountain a good idea, who say the Mountain clans don't have other children we can save, as well as loot we can take.

Apologies for unnecessarily hostile tone. I'm just very aggravated we're not checking out this place further for loot before melting everything.

Though using summoned genies to cast the stone shapes is better than having Dany do it.

Meh. Their loot would be minor and their children more trouble than they are worth.

This plan, however, after capturing a seriously powerful Mythic Undead champion of the Others, is the kind of action that garners one another Mythic Tier if @DragonParadox is feeling generous.

This makes me very, very worried of the caliber of true Others if this Mythic Ancient Wight Lord was deemed flawed.

I mean, if your Champion got captured in two rounds in the middle of one of your seats of power, you'd probably consider something of the situation a failure. And if this really is "some nameless Bloodraven party" then it's probably your Champion who fucked up somehow.

@DragonParadox, what class and level were Mors and Braga? And would this fight justify a level up?

Mors Fighter 2/Barbarian 5
Braga: Barbarian 3/Ranger 5

Realistically it would justify a level up yes but I'm not sure it's worth tracking for them right now.

  • [X] Plan Making Sure Nothing Is Left
-[X] Tell everyone to get out and let Dany seal the exit with Stone Shape while Viserys gathers the corpses and the White-Walker-sicle.
-[X] Viserys casts Heart of Water to gain waterbreathing, then melts a small pool into the ice where he is protected from the most immediate effects of what is to come. He also casts Greater Blink for added security.
-[X] Use Wild Arcane to cast Whirlpool, setting the pool and all water added later into motion. The spinning, boiling water should protect you from falling ice and any remaining Winter monsters, and increase the damage.
-[X] Throw Shadows of the Doom at the glacier, melting it and building pressures to destroy the entire mountain.
-[X] Once you feel that the mountain is about to explode, throw a some Mythic Power at the northern flank to make sure it explodes away ffom Thenn Valley, then Celerity + Resilient Sphere to protect yourself.
-[X] Ride the last dredge of the pressure wave into the sky as a True Dragon, roaring loudly in defiance of the Others.

Braga: Barbarian 3/Ranger 5
  1. His bow is enchanted but only +1 human bane.
  2. His cloak gives +5 to stealth
  3. Lastly he has a ring that allows him to cast speak with animals 1/day
That's... pretty damn underequipped. Poor guy. We'll fix that soon enough.

:???: What made you think we weren't going to loot every last one of the Thenns? One of our goals is to convince them they need to evacuate. We've even got an empty island in the Stepstones ready for them.
There's a difference between "stash them on an island somewhere and forget about them" and "have him do something useful".
If we're just getting him out of the way, then I'm against pouring gold all over him.

*oh wait you're serious. LET ME LAUGH EVEN HARDER.gif*

Sweet summer child, the magpie will have his way.

He's a level 8 PC, soon to be level 9. Throwing him aside and forgetting about him is absurd.
So we will be convincing him to separate from his people and do something useful? Or are we covering him in gold in the hope that he'll fight for us when Winter comes - assuming we don't resolve things before then?

EDIT: My point is that I fear we won't take the time to put him to good use, and that he will want to stay with his people to defend them.

@TalonofAnathrax
1) we are totally looting the Thenns
2) Braga is level 8 and on the cusp of level 9, not recruiting him is insane
3) we aren't stealing him from his people, we're stealing his people
4) this would be an arrangement like Svitran for the serpentfolk—he's still part of their community, but we call the shots
5) I seriously doubt he wouldn't be put to us. Same for Mors.

If he joins us, he will end up on the Big Sheet of Useful People which automatically means he will be doing useful stuff for us each month.
