Methinks the other are starting to keep a better, far better. Eye in the dreamlands.

We should have somebody under mindblank deliver the mess... Never mind, Lord Stark doesn't have an item of mind blank.

Good God's

We seriously need to consider extracting our nephew.

See I wouldn't be worried about the Stark if they had a competent mage on their side. We need to send a message to Ned as well as hold down on Wintertown. If the situation escalates we need to know immediately.

Hence why the disguise. Though maybe if we go disguise we shouldn't interact with the Starks. Just a defensive measure for a month or so.
The one they had got killed by a Ghoul last time we met him, so no bets on that one's competence.

I really think it's time we got Jon out of Winterfell. He'd never abandon his family, but it would be trivial to frame studying in SD as the best way to help them, especially if he knows about the Others. He has enourmous magical potential, and Winter is Coming.

Well here is a thought. @DragonParadox a question. Does Winterfell provide its inhabitants with Mindblank? I know we can dream into it but that is mostly due to Jon but does the castle protect its inhabitants from divination?

We should still probably raise his mom as well.

If for no other reason than to stop her haunting him.

In a way that doesn't traumatize him I mean.

Unfortunately not, building that level of protection into a castle that houses hundreds is something even a god would balk at.

@DragonParadox - could we have the Mya/Gendry interlude now?

I kind of want to do the next full part and finish the exposition today as I promised

So we have a war front with the White Walkers, the Deep Ones, Demons, Devils, Tiamat, and of course our human enemies. Yet still we feel the need to be paranoid enough to possible start a war with a large faction of the Fae... Brilliant.

They are forcing our hands by being completely unreasonable. I mean, a Red Dragon is willing to accept us his superior and yet they won't? Most Gods don't try to mess with us this much either.

I'm going to argue against sending any Companion on a mission alone in the North, even one protected by Mind Blank. It's too good an opportunity for the Others to single them out for destruction, or worse.

We just have to phrase it as giving them direct full-time access to the greatest pageantry and drama in the world, the nobility. Frame it as them getting the chance to be directors instead of actors, let them play CK2 IRL.

Correct me if I'm wrong it's that unless we phrase it in a way that salves their egos they'd declare war. Mortals have the lives of mayflys so make it more apparent that they'd be the equals to the genies and dragons etc.

Oh right Essos. The extra planar stuff is you telling Bloodraven things so that will pass quickly though.
Extraplanar stuff was referring to Varys' and Illyrio's secret bases and allies off the plane. This would include the fortress in the Shadow Tower, any allies they have off the plane, any enemies they've made, etc.

And we will of course update Bloodraven on everything we've been up to.

Except we don't have a spare Kingdom staffed by actors to let them mess around in while the rest of our people live normal lives.

Investing Inquisition assets here right now is a bad idea. We are already stretched thin with everyone clamoring to throw the Inquisition everywhere at once. We simply don't have enough actions for that. Even if we took absolutely everyone that can do intrigue actions, we won't be bale to cover half as much as people want, especially as we need serious amounts of effort to get full bases set up in the larger areas.

We still have some miscallaneous questions for bloodraven, though.
Enough for a separate update or two in of itself.
Like what he OG's want to do wit hancient green dragon's bones.
And us getting some lore on how they made Green Dream and how prayers sent to a mortal turn said mortal divine
etc.

[X] Send a message to Lord Stark at once
-[X] Tell him of the Others' attempt to infiltrate a powerful Undead creature into Winter town using an unwitting dupe. Warn him of future attempts which may not be discovered so easily, and offer to provide him with an enchanted object meant to detect Undead creatures, if he desires.
