Does anyone knows what happened to that maid we saved and then kept in our cloak for far to long?
She might now where the cat is usually hanging out.

I mean in any vernacular, as far as a Westerosi perspective goes, Courtesans in King's Landing only get better treatment due to clientele and their boss, and that only insofar as it is clear they seem to hate their jobs (but their other options aren't exactly winning bets either).

In Braavos being called a courtesan is way different, like being a local celebrity, and not known and ill-regarded on the face of it for having sex with people, but primarily being known for all the other services they provide.

In King's Landing... they're just upscale hookers. Just with less filthy and rough clients... usually.

So what you're saying is we should loot this building too when we're finished here?

@DragonParadox

1. Remember that armor that Gerion looted from Valyria?

Have there been any further rumors about that? It's been a while, there should have been something.

2. Can we steal all the dragon bones?

3. Can we hunt for dragon eggs? There have to be a bunch in the Red Keep, there's no way there aren't.

4. Can we steal skulls from beneath the Great Sept of Baelor to poke at our ancestors for where they would have hidden their caches?
  1. *rolls* There have certainly been rumors but nothing credible
  2. Sure, if you can get to them
  3. Of course
  4. Yes, but that would be rather disrespectful of them

1. Can we hear the rumors OOC? This isn't something worth taking up space in an update, but it is good intel for prioritizing what to loot in the future.
2. Excellent.
3.
4. Eh. Their souls won't be disturbed, and frankly they (with the exception of Baelor) would be in support of Viserys raiding their graves to keep Targaryen treasures and heirlooms away from the hands of the Usurper.

I'd love to have a more in-depth Westeros rumor posts. We did something like this back in Lannisport as well.

Knowing recent scandals and events should give us an idea what to look out for. Maybe even reveal some opportunity for mischief, profit or turning an important local figure.

Hearing all the crazy things they make up about Viserys and the Imperium is always the most entertaining part of rumor posts.

Edit: If we're raiding the Red Keep for dragon eggs and other treasures, then we should go after the treasury as well. Rather than the mere monetary value, it's the disruptive effect it would cause that I'm after. It would make Robert look like a fool after a getting his treasury robbed right beneath his nose, and then there's all the knock-off effects from not having liquid money at hand to keep things running.

Oh yeah, I really want to know what they are talking about the Imperium right now. They must be talking about marching armies by now.

I think he was mistaking show canon for book canon. In the show, Varys advised against it I believe.

In the books, it's left as ambiguous. Therefore you created your own answer.

I swear to the Old Gods, the wikis need to be more clear on that.

@DragonParadox a Westerosi/King's Landing Rumor Mill update might be a solid idea all things considered. We are talking to one of the most informed people in the city right now.

Hmm with the whorehouse we have an in with the city. We should also discuss things with the Rat-men. Bring them over to our side. That way we have powerful casters in the sewers and a base for our Inquisition.

To be fair that cat is not only important to his niece but has also stolen from Tywin and made a nuisance of himself of everyone in Red Keep. Like mentioned before that is worth a knighting in Viserys' opinion.

I'm trying to decide if Viserys is petty enough to have a public ceremony with Tongues cast on Bally specifically to honor him for actions taken against the Usurper's Court.

Like, he is, but it's weighing against "public perception of being batshit like his dad."

Pretty sure the people of the Deep are not totally against the idea of talking animals what with Little Valyrians in general. They have seen weirder shit on a daily basis.

I'm thinking of the Westerosi and distant-from-Viserys Essosi reaction. Everyone else will likely think of it along the lines of "Eccentric Rulers."

It's like Caligula. He made his horse his head of his armed forces as a statement to the Senate that he's so powerful he can do anything he wants (and was the actual one in charge of military matters) but enemy propaganda and time has left the perception of him as a madman and as an example of why you shouldn't have lead pipes.

King of the Seagulls argument.

*Ahem* I am a dragon therefore your argument is invalid.

Also it doesn't hurt that it's a cat, people love cats, and a talking cat telling the public firsthand how he made everyone in the devil infested Red Keep look like a damn fool will not only be welcomed but would probably inspire countless children's tales and minor plays around our Kingdom.

He'd be praised almost as much as he thinks he deserves.

Y'all need to vote if we're going to get another update today. Or come up with a different plan if mine isn't to your liking.
