Many opportunities here. The Lhazareen are fragmented states who most likely feel a lot if pressure from displaced Dothraki and Ghiscari slavers who are running out of soft targets to hit abroad.

Some diplomatic overtures could greatly advantace our geo-strategic position here.

I'd rather have the Orb dealt with first. Everything else can be done on their way back, really.

We're kind of backed into a corner. Teana doesn't have Mind Blank, and for some reason the orb is being talked about openly, so Tiamat could potentially divine it. :facepalm:

EDIT: I still have no idea why the initial caution was abandoned. Before we were careful not to even say it outloud, and instead had all our conversations through telepathy.
She and Rina should be borrowing Mind Blank rings from Tyene and Waymar, or other Companions who aren't out in the field, such as Vee.

Also, y'all, our people shouldn't be riding anywhere on a mission this important. Lya, Malarys, and Rina can all prepare and cast Wind Walk spells to travel at maximum speed. Two casting is enough to affect everyone on the trip. It's the fastest method of travel short of Teleportation.

[X] Viserys Teleports them as near to Lhazosh as he can, then they travel there using Wind Walk spells. They will learn what they can of the city while attempting to gain any insights into the location of the Orb.
-[X] Before everyone departs, Viserys uses a Blood Wished Arcane Concordance spell to cast Extended Nine Lives spells on everyone and Extended Magic Army on everyone's weapon (38 hour duration each). Vee casts Tyche's Touch on them.

Politics can be dealt with later. This is more important. The party could drop arcane marked stones along the way as teleport points.

[X] Teleport to the closest known location near the Orb's suspected resting place then travel as quickly as possible, using Wind Walk spells cast on everyone, the Erinyes included, to obtain the Orb.

The closest location is Mantarys, unless you want to risk starting the journey in Qarth.

Can't we just have our Archons teleport an arcane-marked stone somewhere closer to the desert and start from there? They've had some very wide-ranging patrols, including the one to deal with the Tiamat-mage who was poking around in ruins when he shouldn't have been.

They did indeed get as far as the ruins of Borash but no farther. Still that would spare your party a bit of time.
 
Shouldn't we have enough information to Greater Teleport into the Red Wastes? The specific point isn't that important after all and the spell can't miss.
