Saan and Wyla are staring balefully at you from beneath hundreds of mosquito bites. On a more serious note, one of those Explosive Packs should be Insect Repellant instead.
@Goldfish@Azel, I found something really neat when I was poking around Dragon Magazine 280, found on page 53:
Soupstone:
When dropped into a container of water, this small smooth stone turns the water into a hot, nourishing broth of a flavor chosen when the stone is made. A soupstone can transform up to ten gallons of water before it becomes inert. It has no effect on water-based creatures like water elementals.
Crafting DC: (Alchemy 15)
Cost: 300 gp or 60 IM
Possible resource for a marching Legion? Also a great resource for an adventuring party. It's literally instant soup, perfect for rough traveling.
Also, in the same magazine, page 52:
Insect Repellant:
This strong-smelling liquid can be applied to the skin to repel insects. It keeps Tiny or smaller insects at bay for 4 hours per application. Larger insects and those under the control of a spell must make a Will Save (DC 12) to approach a protected character. The benefit is lost if the character attacks the insect.
Crafting DC: (Alchemy 15)
Cost: 5 gp or 1 IM
... Needless to say we should spam the hell out of Insect Repellant.
The Soupstones are neat, though super weird even by Alchemy standards. Kind of expensive, too, which limits how many we can make in a given period of time.
I'll have to look at the numbers when I get home this evening to see if dedicating a production line to insect repellent is worth it or not. We still have Mercy and Valeria who can produce Alchemical stuff for us as well, so we might be able to put them on that task.
Point on the soupstone. I just thought the instant soup effect was neat.
I'll leave it up to you and Goldfish on when to get the Insect Repellant, but I'm confident that we'll get a production facility up and running within the next two months.

I'm technically not against lifting the curse, but the high chance of people then clamoring to start waffling around with the Drow sours me to the option.
Okay so clearly either people aren't understanding the plan with what to do with the Lannisters or really want Jaime as a pokemon. Now I preface this by saying I do not like Jaime Lannister. I have made my feelings clear on the matter. But even if the feelings weren't in play I still will point out that this man is someone we would constantly have to watch because of his shifty nature. Not to mention the fact that he would promptly betray us as soon as we started to talk about punishments for house Lannister. He just isn't a good person to recruit. He was, despite his many flaws, loyal to his family and loyal to Cersei. All it would take is Cersei giving the "I want you back" speech and Jaime comes a running, spilling whatever secrets we told him. He's just not worth it.
Personally, watching that entitled, naive, 100%-thinking-with-his-dick asshole slowly turning around and becoming somewhat respectable is my favorite arc in the entire of asoiaf.
But seeing how he probably didn't have any arc like that, I agree that recruiting him is not really in the cards*. I'd favor sending him to wall (I don't want to just 'splode him for that delicious interpersonal conflict potential with Viserys).
*and it would be hypocritical of me, since I think Bronn was also pretty much a pokemon.
He very much was and I still can't quite get over it.
I am 100% againwt wagering that the same thing will work twice.
Just because someone was cool in show/books is no reason to think so for this quest, unless given IC-reasons to.
:/
Considering the ridiculously long Winters that plague Planetos, I would assume that every possible method of low tech food preservation has been developed and is in regular use, with variations depending on the local environment, available foodstuffs, cultural preferences, etc.

"Did you ever find yourself halfway between despising and admiring something, and then doubting your sense of what is right over asking the question?" Lya sighs, looking at the pile of Devils' treasure strewn on the table in front of her.
"I've never considered admiration for skill to be any impediment to loathing on moral grounds. One can hardly be a descendant of the Freehold knowing its heritage in full without feeling just that of their workings," you reply at once. "If all who were wicked would be fools also, then the world would be a much different place."
"And if we refused to acknowledge that skill and in so doing better ourselves then we would do ourselves a great disservice," Dany finishes.
Lya nods, but adds, "Be that as it may, it's rather uncomfortable to be getting ideas on how some of this might be improved considering how it was made."
Lost 60 IM
Tainted Ancestral Pendant x2
Description: Contained within this cylindrical peachtree wood capsule is a small scroll filled with sacred marks and signs, defiled with infernal scrip writ in flame that only a skilled mage's gaze can read. The capsule hangs on a chain around the neck of the wearer (DC 30 Spellcraft to recognize the item as perverted by Devils)
Ability: Through the power of a bound ancestral spirit, the talisman grants its wearer some of the skills the spirit possessed in life. Both of the spirits bound in the present talismans appear to have been noblemen or bureaucrats of some rank.
Powers:
+3 Competence bonus to Will Save
+5 Competence bonus to Diplomacy and Bluff when dealing with Yi Tish culture
Ability to cast Augury 1/day with no chance of failure but only relating to the fate of the wearer
Caster level: 9
False Sun's Kiss
Description: Worked with symbols of the stars and sun seemingly upon imperishable gold, this mace's head is at its core naught but base lead, though its strike is certainly no softer for it.
Abilities: Even a dabbler in the arcane can recognize this as the weapon meant to slay those already dead, to lay to rest unquiet corpses, but a more careful look reveals its true sinister purpose, not to being peace but slavery, to bind the soul forever more into the grasping hand of its bearer and through it Mammon.
Powers:
Though undead slain by this weapon appear to be destroyed, the wielder may choose to call them forth again on the following midnight. Sentient undead may be called forth either in their previous forms or as ghosts. The bearer of this weapon counts as an evil cleric with a level equal to his or her total HD-2 for the purpose of defining the limit of controlled undead.
After setting aside the Devils and their treasures, you turn your eye to yet another journey. Throughout the month you had heard tales of the dead of Sarnor turning from simply hitting the Dothraki and driving them from the plains to raising a kingdom of the lost and accursed. It might simply be a matter of travelers mistaking the reconstruction around Sallosh for something darker, but in this age of marvels and horrors you would not wager too much upon that chance.
Thus accompanied by Ser Richard, ever-ready to protect you, and Maelor, curious about what had come of the people he helped two months ago, you speak the words and see the passage opening before you to Sallosh upon the Silver Sea.
The city is not as you had left it, the solemn silence broken only by the sigh of the wind over sundered stone has been replaced by the clang of hammers, the neighing of horses, crying infants, and a thousand-and-one other signs of life as the hopeful heirs of the Tall Men try to make their life among the ruins. Long and only slightly crooked piers stretch out into the waters of the lake that even now play host to a trio of fishing ships dragging their nets through waters that have not known the touch of man in three centuries and more. There are even herb gardens amid the tumbled and broken cobbles.
"They seem to be doing alright for themselves," Maelor offers. "Nothing fancy, but they ain't going hungry."
"They haven't even started patching up the walls," Ser Richard grumbles.
"It's only been about six weeks since they set out from from Saath," you remind him. "Those boats are near enough a miracle of diligence."
"If I knew I had living corpses gathering in armies out there, I'd have worked on the walls first," he answers grimly.
"The dead are their kin, that's why we sent them here to begin with..." Maelor's words carry hope and foreboding in equal measure. Had some ancient specter or ghoul slipped into the councils of the Lord of Sallosh?
Thankfully Vargor Alexi, a fictitious heir of the line of high kings but very real power within Sallosh, is quick to receive you with as many honors as circumstances allow. As soon as you meet his eyes you know him to be master of himself still. He explains that the phantoms of Sallosh have been helpful to his people, leading them to stashes of wealth hidden from looters and even texts written not on parchment but stone plates resilient enough to survive the centuries.
"They do not show themselves usually, for it is wearying upon their will do so, but instead lead through portents and dreams... or for the particularly hard of head thumps in the light of day," he explains. "Of any other dead beyond the city we know little, for we have seen them only at a distance during our journey and none among our number were so bold as to seek them out."
What do you do?
[] Formalize Sallosh's integration into the realm and send some legionnaires to defend them
-[] Write in how many
[] Try to seek out the dead scholars and learn more of their fellows
-[] Write in how

OOC: The Salloshi rolled quite well for both the journey and setting up camp.
I desire the Yi Tish rice crops and silk worms. Also since Yi Ti is an analogue of China, there is no way they will "trade" with us. It will be a "tribute"

We've already got silk. Naath voluntarily joined the Imperium. That was actually why Wyla conquered the place at all -- she wanted to restart the silk trade.
Ah, such satisfaction. Long have I awaited this Bag of Holding. I don't even care that it's a Least Bag of Holding, I've had my eye on this for months.
@DragonParadox, can we talk to the spirits via Lya's Soul Drum when we have the time? I kind of want to see if they're interested in Cyclic Reincarnation. We could certainly use Yi Tish who are grateful to us to help us slowly expand east.
