I shall be incredibly pissed if that was possible all along and all the rejection of undeath that forced me to scrap countless ideas was really kinda unreasonable.
Well... This is a very special case. The undead weren't torn from their graves by force (or at least they don't blame the Sarnori for it), the undead consider the Sarnori their heirs and hate an outside group, and the Sarnori are desperate enough to share living space with undead without complaining too much.

However I find it more likely that the Sarnori and undead will end up fighting. Some undead still want to raise the last High King, after all!

Wouldn't a Runestaff be cheaper? I haven't done the maths, but I thought that for 1 level 3 spell (and one or two lv1-2) it was still very cheap.
Disguise Self + Rope Trick + Phantom Steed
Maybe, but we have no one who can craft Runestaves yet. Lya might be able to learn, but her time is too valuable to waste equipping baby mages.

We do, however, have a ton of people able to craft PoSK. They're not that expensive, either.

100 IM for a 1st level spell, 400 for a 2nd level spell, 900 IM for a 3rd level spell, etc., though I don't think we should go beyond 2nd level for them.

A PoSK of Rope Trick and Shield would only cost 500 IM and be very nice for them to have.

All this wasn't quite what ever graduate was getting. It's what we were having our new Wizards craft for themselves. Mia and both unnamed 5th level Wizards made their own gear on our dime.

Now that they aren't going to be used as craftbots any longer, and we have so much crafting capacity, I would definitely say that this should be the standard graduation package, with two additions.

Each Arcane spellcaster should get a pair of Bracers of Arcane Freedom, which allow them to cast a Still spell 2/Day. These only cost 230 IM. They should each also get a Handy Haversack. Super useful and only 200 IM each.

A lot of them, however, do not need a Quill of Scribing, as only our Wizards still have Scribe Scroll.

Yep, like I said above, Handy Haversacks are good additions.

So here's how I think the basic graduation packages should look for full casters upon reaching 5th level.

Wizard:

Sorcerer:

Archivist:

Cleric:

EDIT: I added Amulets of Years for them as well. At only 230 IM each, they are excellent tools to keep squishy low level mages alive in dangerous situations.
Looks great to me @Goldfish, though for the cleric and the archivist I kind of want to add in mithral or steel armor if applicable. That and some kind of mace or something for the cleric.

Now to be fair, @DragonParadox specifically references "macabre parody of life", as in what they are doing is fake and not functional beyond any merit that there are some sentient undead who are "holding court" in a hall bones and dust, and there are nonsentient undead doing tasks that have no meaning, reaping grain that doesn't grow, stoking hearths that warm no flesh, etc.

What should be massively more concerning is another apocalypse ritual in some maddened attempt to revive an entire Kingdom but as we know will probably just get us our first encounter with an Inevitable. For reasons that for once entirely weren't our fault!

I find it highly unlikely we won't end up in conflict with the undead Sarnori... because we're rounding up all the Dothraki under our banner. Living people who survived the Dothraki would be pissed. People who died to them and had their families slaughtered and their cities razed by them? And who now see the world through the lense of undead? Yeah, the prospects of peace are laughable here.

We should probably go with Rhango and deal with them at some point. This has me rather worried.

We have our own Forsaken! :V

It better be, than Nazarick!
We still don't know what caused them to rise. It could be Ainz for all we know.

I think the rumour is distorted. It's those Tall Men we have convinced to resettle who travelers spin into undead that have gathered in the cities.

Yeah, I forgot about that. Will add.
Mythic crafting for first Mythic Ability!

We could also retrain most of her current crafting feats if we do that.
If she keeps those feats, though, when combined with Crafting Mastery, she'll be able to craft at double speed.

Your new avatar is really throwing me off, dude.

I would keep Shield and just add Disguise Self. It's not much more expensive.

What's wrong with it? It's a lavender field, the most neutral/boring avatar possible!
Chosen because I was unhappy with my old one, had no ideas, and then smelled the lavender growing right outside my window. Except that my bush is ugly AF so I just googled "lavender field" and picked the first result :D

Nothing wrong with it, it's just different. Took me forever to adjust to Artemis' and Crake's avatars when they changed them, too.
Yeah, same here. Sticking with the same avatar eternally is good forum etiquette, but some people are indecisive.

Back on topic: Can we please NOT go to Sarnor right now? What would we even do there? Conduct a full spying mission and evaluation ourselves?
No, let's set up an Inquisition base there or something. Have the minions handle the preliminary work!

This is a hilarious misinterpretation.:rofl::rofl:

@TalonofAnathrax, we're not going to Sarnor. We have Sarnori colonists who have sworn fealty to us and are resettling Sallosh. That's who we're checking up on.

If the undead Sarnori want to live again, I actually have an idea of how we could accomplish that for a significant percentage of them, DP said the sacrifice cost of a Heart tree with regeneration on it, would be having to sacrifice an enemy to it to get the spell, considering that, it would be entirely appropriate, if the cost of a resurrection Heart tree, would be a willing sacrifice(probably with a minimum HD requirement) so we could grow Heart trees with resurrections on them, and then the Sarnori undead who want to live again, can flip coins to decide who has to sacrifice themselves, and who will be the ones revived.

It would also get the old gods some serious power, as undeads by the thousands, would be sacrificing themselves before Heart trees.

I wonder have how much power the old gods have because of us and at what divine rank they are
