I would suggest Greater Magic weapon. Walls staffed with archers with enhanced bows are a great protection against monsters!
Panacea against plague and poison

Cerulean Sign is pretty terrible if it isn't Imbued into people: otherwise all it can really defend is the tree, right?
Greater Magic Weapon is a good call.

With Cerulean Sign, it was indeed pretty much to defend the tree. They're in a Deep Ones hotspot, I didn't like taking chances.

Maybe we should give him a guardian Druid Creature Lotus Leshy as extra insurance. With an entourage of Leaf Leshy warriors.

I'm traveling right now, so I sadly can't do so.

I've already talked with DP and I will help him stat up our new lands and catch up on bookkeeping on sunday. Map edits will be done then.

Sorry sacrifice guys, I'm more interested in politicking for now.

What is with nobles thinking killing kids is the best way to get into our good graces?

The best guess I have is some Knowledge Nobility or Knowledge Westerosi checks that were partial successes, getting them the "And the King of Westeros smiled at the child murder" bit but lacking the context and passed Wisdom checks to make connections beyond "Westerosi" "Ruler" and "Favorable of Child Murder".

That, or they completely botch the checks, have no intel on our stance on child murder, and defaulted to what a normal ruler of the setting would honestly appreciate.

Child murder is distasteful, but they are a threat to the standard ruler and the brush doesn't paint the new ruler much if someone else does the murder. Robert's mistake was making his approval so public.

Child murder is disgusting, and several Dornish characters in canon with their (perhaps in some cases inflated) reputation for duplicity and underhandedness find it absolutely revolting. And I'm not talking TV Show Dornish characters, I'm talking Ellaria "war is horrible" Sand. Ellaria "I would sooner spit on a Kinslayer" Sand. Not Ellaria "FUCK WEAK MEN" Sand.

That whole bit about children being a potential threat is true, but it's also incredibly common for hostages to be taken instead implicitly based upon not only the desire for the defeated to avoid having their children killed, but the victorious not really being enthusiastic about murdering children.

I think the chaos and the madness of not only Rebellion-era Westeros but also WoFK era Westeros skews perspectives mightily, as not every ruler behaves as Tywin, and GRRM writes the setting as definitely having a steady undercurrent of romanticism that many people with power actually tried to follow through on.

It is a bit hit or miss on when and how, other than the fact that those moments where you run into a character genuinely fucking horrified and appalled by Cersei or Tywin or Frey antics really reads as bizarre until in despair you suddenly think "I've been following fuck all but either the worst scum or the most naive of the setting around for four or five books".
