*has nothing better to do, so reads up on some more spells, seeing as permanency scrolls are a thing*
*takes a look at Viserys' AC*
Ah, okay then, so there is no need for Ablative barrier. Maybe Entropic Shield then?...

AC: 10 + 3 (DEX) + 22 (NA) +4 (Mage Armor) +5 (Serpent's Sin enhancement NA) - 2 (Size) +2 (Insight) +7 (Belt) +2 (vs Evil) = 51/53
Wat.

This feels cheesy.
We didn't even begin to cheese, and we are already neck-deep in it.
...Let's push it to 60 now?

Canon Omake: Neck of the Swamp
Neck of the Swamp

'Things are certainly shaping up quite differently than I expected they would in my life,'
Howland Reed couldn't help but note as he sat within his solar and read over various reports of the latest activity in the Neck. In years past there was usually not much to report since the crannogmen tended to live simple lives quite similar to their ancestors and due to their environment didn't deal with issues as much as most other lands would. Of course with the return of magic in such a flood across the world it seemed much of it had gathered within his home for some reason, for better of worse.

For one thing there has been a noticeable increase among his people of those capable of preforming magic itself, most of it relatively minor but a handful capable of impressive feats. While most would see such things as alarming and frightening, and even he would a bit in most cases, but they were at ease since they knew the source of this awaking was from the Old Gods themselves. Many adepts were Green Men and others who's faith towards the Old Gods was particularly strong and described what were similar to Green Dreams his son Jojen has, and afterwards they would awake to the power to more closely communicate with the land and the powers relating to it. These Green Dreams became more common as an adepts power increased but such a thing was uncommon.

These adepts were near universally welcomed by the crannogmen as a whole since they were representatives of the Old Gods themselves and used their powers to help all their could, which was important given the most hostile changes.

In seemingly little time new, wondrous, and deadly had come to the Neck in ways the even the crannogmen had no experience in. However they were wise enough to avoid these new things until they learned what they could most of the the time and consulted elders, lore-keepers, and the adepts. While there were a many new minor magical creature, giant insect or beast, newly found herbs and plants, and other such things the most violent were the fey. Howland knew of them due to tales of some in the Riverlands and even further off, however while the fey beyond his home were described as tricksome most of the time these ones seemed actively malicious towards his people. Individuals and small groups disappearing into the wilds to never been seen again happening more often, villages dealing with various outbreaks of bad luck, and in some cases the fey choosing to show themselves and actively seeking conflict. It was only thanks to skilled warriors and adepts working together such attacks were driven back and steps now being taken to better defend his people.

Strangely what all these events had in common was the fey proclaiming vengeance against his people for some great crime that happened lifetimes ago that none among the crannogmen could properly figure out. Now that it mattered, in Howland's mind some crime made by distant ancestors was no excuse to harm the people of the now.

Thankfully not all their interactions with magical beings had be entirely negative. In recent times the crannogmen had met with the man-like insect beings none in men's tongue as Bog Striders. Howland has even met with a representative of one of their villages and found him pleasant company despite his appearance. Thanks to the powers of the adepts the two races could communicate with one another, though they were rare occurrences since both sides were wary of the other. It was natural Howland supposed, for generations the Neck and it's resources were solely in control of the crannogmen but now new ones made use of it as well to live. Howland found it funny how similar the Bog Striders and crannogmen seemed to act at times: they both built villages and homes hidden from the eyes of others, preferred to avoid fights and if needed fight them indirectly, highly valued their elders, had strong community bonds with one another, worked closely with their home while also respecting it's power, and other such things. Due to his actions and these similarities despite this wariness there was limited trade between his people and theirs, Bog Striders traded for metal weapons and tools alongside other trade goods from outside the Neck while his people in turn would trade for surplus goods native to Neck their hunters would collect. This plus adventurous youths on both sides was a start to slowly bridging the gape between their peoples so that in time they might be friends.

It would be needed since from what his son and others saw in the Green Dreams and his communication with his lords told the future would prove to be a uncertain one. However it was not yet that time thus there was much that could still be done yet.

'Jojen and Meera wanted to show me how the little ones are growing, it would appear they have no trouble understanding the young creatures then they would other men, even the Green Man hears it.' Howland could not help but smirk a bit how after everyone else he was finding such small things strange. It seemed he was truly growing old and struggling to keep up.

Hopefully his children and others like them could help him learn...

It's always nice to see a version of Howland who isn't a blindly trusting pawn of Bloodraven, willing to engineer political calamity on a scale almost unimaginable, if the instigator wasn't already a Targaryen, born of a line infamous for colossal fuckups and calamities, even if only fleeing from them.

It means he might not end up as collateral if we ever find out Bloodraven was probably responsible for the Usurper's War. :eyeroll:

I mean there were already enough hapless and clueless agents who could have been manipulated without any foreknowledge of events to come, I always find fanon insistence that Howland was Brynden's Chekov's Gunman rather droll!

Huh...

Brynden's Bowman?

[X] Unlike those who would be held back by not knowing the line, I have to tell you that I will walk rather close to it, with our without your order's approval. So I would prefer to have precise details, to see if a confrontation can be avoided or not.
-[X] Clear and direct questions what is fine: Non-sentient and non-infective Undead? Keeping a decently sized group of people allive permanently? Seeking a life as near to immortality to make no difference while also being a big actor on the stage of this world? Harboring higher Undead with no greater ambition of their own?
-[X] All these are things likely to be found in our future. We would prefer clear approval or a fight now, not later.

Adding the +1 Charisma gives him an additional 3rd level spell slot.

@DragonParadox There are some Constructs missing from their section on the front page.

We should have another 43 Lesser False Ravens, 8 Greater False Ravens, and two more Elemental Wyrmlings (one Cold & one Electricity, completing the second set).

Also, the number of Erinyes needs to be increased from 10 to 15 in the Outsiders section.

Part MMCDXCVIII: Conundrums of East and West
Conundrums of East and West

Eleventh Day of the Seventh Month 293 AC

Of all the things you had thought yourself likely to do when first you came to this estate, establishing an affinity to the Faceless Men under false pretenses had not been one. But if these past tumultuous years have taught you anything, it is to seize opportunities where you find them. So you bow your head and answer lightly: "I too see great worth in future meetings, whether to exchange knowledge or other aid for mutual benefit."

The assassin nods, and again you can see the faintest edge of satisfaction behind his mechanical motions. Had that always been there and you had been unable to discern it before, you wonder You watch with polite interest as the man before you dons the mask that is behind the mask again, until he is the mysterious man with the villain's name, his movements, his gaze all perfectly aligned with what you had seen of him when you first arrived. Even knowing that it is an act you can find no seam or flaw within it. Once more you are reminded, if there is any need, not to take the Faceless lightly.

On returning to Lys proper you find Tyene in a foul mood, for her task is proving even more difficult than she had anticipated by reason of Aedon's temperament and that of them men he raised up to be his officers. "The imbeciles are quarreling over who should get to have authority over the healers even as their army is shitting itself to death. Thank whatever gods may be looking in on this festering pile that Azema has their 'glorious leader' enthralled or I would not be getting anything done. The army should be able to march out in about two weeks."

"What about acting closer to home?" you ask, thinking of the coup you have planned.

"Need you even ask?" the Dornishwoman sniffs. "There are always plenty of sellswords up for murder and looting." Seeing your wince at the mention of a sack she shakes her head, growing serious. "I know you would rather not have any of that done, but even unused to the ordering of armies as I am it's plan as day that it would take months to beat any sort of discipline into this gold and glory thirsting rabble."

Alas before you can move on to planning in earnest you hear an unexpected voice in your ear, Lothos, speaking from the deck of the Queen Rhaella by sending stone: "We've uncovered something that's a mite hard to move, Your Grace. Something that needs a royal touch."

"Do you want to come or stay?" you ask Mereth and Leto.

By now the two Furies have grown used enough to your manner not to be surprised by the question. After a moment's thought both decide to stay in Lys and help Tyene and Hermetia with the plot against the Spicers.

So it is that you arrive alone save for Varys in the midst of a meeting so tense you can almost hear the sound of sword rattling in the air. Anchored in the shallow waters twenty leagues east of Sharp Point, three Redwyne Galleys float about what Moonsong assures you is the final resting place of House Gardner's lost Crown of Flowers, something she had supposedly learned from chatting with a wind fey.

The presence of Tyrell ships would certainly lend credence to the notion, but it also places you in something of a delicate situation. House Tyrell had been among the loyalists in the Usurper's War, however ineffective their efforts. To give battle here would likely send them into the arms of the Baratheons and Lannisters, not to mention that it would be a poor sign for other potential supporters. On the other side of the scales you cannot very well let the Tyrells take up a crown of the Reach and dream of kingship.

"Paxter Redwyne himself is in command," Asha explains, spitting over the rail in disgust at the mention of the lord. "He wouldn't even talk to me or Theon. He called him a boy playing at being a man and me a girl dressed as a reaver on a lark. It's a good thing I wasn't captain just then or I might have given him a right sharp answer," the young Ironborn admits. "Captain Moonsong just laughed and said they aught to remember how well having a chat with a dragon went for the Gardeners."

"Then captain Saan tossed some bolts over their bow and called up the tritons to make a show of spears," her brother picks up the tale. "He said they aught to be careful who they send into the water."

What do you do?

Cast Righteous Might in True Dragon form then drop glamour hovering above the ships and call for parley. After the first retaliatory shots get eaten by the molten gold in our scales we can drily ask them if they're done tickling our palette.

Then turn back into human form and waltz into Paxter's quarters like we own the place... because we just might.

Yeah, no shit!

I'm thinking we plop on their ship in True Dragon form and tell Praxter he has thirty seconds to get on his knees and start giving us a very satisfying explanation before we roast him like a pig and take his ships, because lord knows they'll be more useful than the Reach ever was in the last war.

[X] Cast Raise from the Deep, Teleport the shipwreck to SD. The Rhaella can come the regular way.
-[X] If the Tyrells try to hinder you or stop the Rhaella take one of their ships too.

Ooh, can we take the ship that Paxter is on?

With Paxter on it?

We can "negotiate" on the way!

Edit:

I'm not entirely joking. Paxter as a hostage is useful to us, three ships marginally more so.

Haha, get it??

No, but really, if we're zero-summing this, we should definitely just hold him hostage.

Oh, gunboat diplomacy, something I actually understand in the mess that is intrigue.

[X] Artemis1998

I don't give a damn about Tyrells, yes, if I could I would kill off (almost) all the houses of Westeros and put some constructs/LN outsiders in charge of that place.
Fuck Westeros, seriously.
