@DragonParadox while we're still in the early stages of the turn, can we get a Benjen interlude tomorrow, if he's already returned to Castle Black, or later if he hasn't?

Desires to transcend one's element aside, Echo Caller mentions that there are two quicksilver lakes that he knows of, both unclaimed by any major powers, but not without their dangers. One lies near a colony of vicious xenarths while the other is often shrouded in poisoned vapors that often hide voracious oozes and other, even stranger beasts. "You aught be be safe enough out there I reckon, but take care just the same," the scout concludes his account of how one might reach the two quicksilver reservoirs.
Each Xenarth has 11 HD and is worth 14.85 HD for Day of Blood purposes.

@Azel, did we only need one lake? There is another one with ??? for the sacrifices we could get there.

*cough* technically wrong for all that he is called Lich-King - no phylactery, and got himself death-aligned by fusing with Ner'zhul, not by being great at necromancy himself *cough*
Arthas is a death knight, which is a rather stupid Lich variant, their Runeswords are their phylacteries, so yeah using your Phylactery as a melee weapon isn't the smartest thing in the world.

Then there's the fact that the original Lich King was Ner'Zhul, and his Phylactery was the Frozen Throne.

Yeah, but I bet you the allure of 2560 HD will come rather quickly afterwards. :V
Heh, no, I'm enough of a realist to see this not happening.

We'll have researched Fire!Heart Tree by next turn!
I'm hyped for finally raising this tree already! Everybody is!

That, and the only viable summons are likely to be daemons after we are done here.
Which is... fine, but not too exciting, as about 5/10s of my hype for summoning stuff here is so that we fuck up enemy plans.

Random daemons back on their plans are meh like that.

After this next one even I'll be putting my foot down. I want Valyrian Steel too.
It is truly a dark day, when Greed has to fight Greed.

Tangentially, what do you want to bet those poor fucking Daemon cultists are shitting their pants at the disappearance of their Daemon masters, whilst the noose begins to draw close and the Inquisition starts "disappearing" their contacts, and then them?

And this seemingly out of NOWHERE, with no one investigating any of their people, just bam, instantly the top level decapitated and ALL of their secrets uncovered.

This is actually a serious detriment to running an Outsider/Fiend cult, because their leadership can be summoned into a killbox and have their brains drained of all knowledge of their plans and assets.

Oh!

Maybe we'll get that unber-book of Daemons, the one cultists managed to smuggle out of Tyrosh!

@Azel, could you add having daemons questioned for that sort of stuff in the background? Just so that we have voted-on action of this sort? The rest can be left to inquisition, really.

What book? I know that we had the leader mage guy write down a book of Daemon lore.

That was the "pestulence" faction leader, him we dominated.

The "death" faction's leader, that fam with Thanadaemons, she had a super-book which had started all of it and served as a main mean of getting rituals and daemons for those guys.

That book got smuggled out during all the fighting.

Basically the book we're looking for is the origin point for the Daemon cult in Tyrosh. We find the book and we severely reduce the risk of future cults popping back up.

It's like in Star Wars with there being Sith lexicons scattered throughout the galaxy.

But there's like a holocron buried under the dozens of Sith tomb worlds across the galaxy.

Basically a plot device that keeps popping back up again.

I feel that now on we will need some mooks to do the fiend-questioning.

I mean, we don't have time to question all of these fiends.
