The most important thing is that we don't even know when Renly was replaced. It might have been around the time he had disappeared, but we have no proof that it hadn't been Fenly sitting in Storms End for years already.

Given how Fey and Aberrations interact, there might have been an alteration with Illithids that had put Fenly out of commission for a while. His glamours failing for two months or something like that.

@DragonParadox, do we have reason to assume that Fenly would act like other Fey when asked to give us something without recompense or stating his name?

It might yet be a double-fake...

A fey construction, allowing it to break fey rules? I would say break them a bit, but fey rules are pretty absolute.

Consolidating I guess.

[X] Smirk and take a half-step back to face Richard slightly. Let him deal with this. It's his honor, his fight, and our fun!

So, a traitor thinks one of the few remaining loyalist knights is the honourless one? Why should we give a fuck about his opinions? Can't we just blatantly ignore him? It's not like Fake!Renly is going to care about this particular issue.

So I've been thinking about all those crossover omakes where Vyserys ended up stranded somewhere (like canon GoT, or Worm). Using Limited Wish, Vyserys could cast Psychic reformation and swap out some of his feats for crafting feats like Craft Wondrous Item. Losing Expanded Arcana might be a good choice if he were desperate and had a lot of money to make items with.

Could we swap out our Draconic feats for crafting feats now? I'd vote against it - it'd be OOC and cheesy - but I want to know if it's possible.

Ah, but if you're trapped alone in another world?
Vyserys will easily gather wealth and power (he's a Dragon), and being able to spend it on defensive and utility items is invaluable. Take Create Magic Arms and Armor, and he can even make Constructs!
Maybe, maybe, leveling up enough to have 10K XP to burn via Wish in the dreamworld so he can get more feats, but crippling himself by sacrificing combat feats isn't worth it, especially when he already has some pretty decent equipment on him.

I would write about him doing exactly that, except he's creating pale imitations of Lya's work when he does it. Except to all the philistines who has no idea of her radiant craftsmanship, they seem like potent items of sorcerous potential, prompting him to scoff.

"I'm cobbling together something just barely adequate from the scraps of this blighted and devastated land. The works of my beloved make them seem as mere baubles or crude stone tools in the hands of savages."

"...that costs as much as a large kingdom to create?"

"Please. My dear Lya made edifice and artifice beyond comparison on any plane of existence with the wealth of several Empires barely being sufficient to maintain them. Oh what I would not give for her wondrous presence..."

Several hours and casks of ale later.

"He's still drinking?"

"Melancholy, I think."

In a setting without magic items it would be worth it.
Only if he was allowed to invest time into retraining said feat without being required to levelup to do so. A couple years pumping out magic items by the hundreds and getting ready for the Long Night, then switching back to combat feats a few months before shit goes down.

In a land without other magic crafters it certainly could be, Viserys can't be everywhere, so lessening his combat potential, to allow him to outfit his elite soldiers could be a good move.

I don't know if Viserys can access the Dreamlands himself, if he can going there to sacrifice EXP for feats would probably be better, but I think being able to make magic items would outweigh personal combat power, in a world where he couldn't get a crafter.
