You know, I came here to complain nobody remembered the discussion I had last time - on the possibilities of upgrading THE ENTIRE CONSTRUCTION ASSEMBLY TO GET THE 4TH SLOT... Here's the summation of the possibilities discussed.

To say that the vote's split is an understatement, I think. Except in Taylor's vote, I think there's pretty clear what people want.
Could we come to an agreement? Seems we're all going for different stuff, but there're point in common.
I'd like to modify "Home Improvement", rather than the armor changes I would go for a device workstation, and I don't see an immediate use for upgrading the scrap version of the mana collector, only keeping it as a spare for other projects, so I'd recommend getting the medkits or the body armor we talked about before.
IIRC, the medkits were supposed to be like those found in the old early '90s X-COM games or the ones found in the KoTOR games.

I think what needed to be upgraded was the production equipment, not the power source. That vote up there would let you put more energy in his microfoundry and 3D fabricator but wouldn't let him build any faster, as I understand it.
Also, I think you needed double slots or the full week to upgrade those.
The scrap was said to barely be able to handle both the microfoundry and 3d fabricator, if you want to be able to upgrade or build more of the MF or 3D Fab or any other tech requiring a power source, you need to get more mana collectors or build another generator (which would probably take the fuel resources away from the radio and the two power armors.)

Actually, we can't speed up production (get more build slots) until we unlock another skill or two for Tim. I think we need to purchase 2 more skills before @Silently Watches will let us increase Tim's production, but it might be down to 1, or even 3 still...

Actually, IIRC you are wrong.
The spree of omakes I posted back then was meant explicitly and specifically to finish getting the learned skills requirement out of the way. I also tallied the number of skills required. Sure I'll check but...
EDIT: I've checked. According to this post, we needed 5 new skills as of June 17th, 2017. According to number crunching in this post (in the end), I've earned or assisted in earning, one way or another, a total of 7 new skills, of which 2 were prior to first post linked. What's more, since all 5 skills-to-learn mentioned in the first post linked, are marked as learned on Tim's character sheet, I'd say we've long since passed the finishing line and kept going for some time afterwards.
For the record I am also in favor of investing in Integration rather than SVL.

I'm pretty sure Integration will not help us with Danny's situation.
Telepathic radios and advanced sensors would be useful for Privateers. But protection against energy attacks will be useful too.
Actually, @Silently Watches, is it possible for power armor with Subdermal Voltaic Lattice to absorb energy of enemy's attack and then use it somehow - to recharge shields or make your own attack stronger?

I also had a similar idea for the Power Armor as well, kind of like Iron Man with that whip guy from the movie, but that would probably require changing the power source from gasoline powered and probably requires the Energy Weapon to be unlocked as well.

Won't vote for Tim's build, can't really care for the moment. It's more about empower Privateers, and I don't sure what's going on with near leaderless Privateers as the whole thing... Must either find the way to restore Danny (there is at least one guaranteed technically possible solution), or at least establish a new leadership.

I imagine we'd have to study some kind of energy-absorbing Tinkertech before SW would let us do something like that.
