@Speechs - these guys just wanted to have a party to relieve the boredom and woke up to 'From Dusk Till Dawn'. I don't think they want a speech, they want to forget and for it to never happen again. I think.

@Ships - After speech, use wayfinder to fly to them and inform them that the demons have been killed and that they don't have to drown, they are welcome to sail back.

A few minor corrections/suggestions:

Replace I've come" with "I came". We're talking in present tense here.

Changes in bold:

The societies they've built

enabled by the countless men and woman bound in iron that serve them

Other than those, looks good.

Also I agree with the suggestion of going to save the sailors who are probably going to get drowned attempting an ocean crossing in launches.

-[] "People of Westhaven. I stand before you today for a different reason then I imagined. I've come here to speak to your lords. I've come here to see this city turned away from Tyrosh. I've come here as a conqueror, but fate decided that this was not the role I have to play today."
-[] "In my years on this world, I've travelled far and wide. Many people I have met. Seen the works of their gods. The societys they've build. Many times I felt revulsion at what I saw, but the madness perpetrated within these walls has eclipsed all of that."
-[] "Brother striking brother down. Forcing themselves on each other like beasts. Feasting on the flesh of their fellow man to sate their desires. This we all witnessed this night and yet I've seen it so often before. No god was needed to plant the seed of this depravity, for it dwells in the heart of every man. When the voice of reason becomes a mere whisper, it will bloom."
-[] "When I came to the Stepstones, I tried to fight this darkness. To bring order to the chaos. To protect those who could no longer protect themselves. To let people see where their actions led them and steer them from the dark paths they've followed. Sorcerers Deep has grown and flourished for these simple tenants. Flourished for the kindness and safety it offered to those in need. I thought that a great deed had thus been done, but here I stand today and must face the truth. It achieved nothing."
-[] "Tyrosh still stands. A month hence, they will celebrate a feast in the name of the god who committed the atrocities of the last night. They will laugh and drink and not spare a single thought to you and those lost here while they praise the cruel creature who set you at each others throats for a perceived slight and it's own sick amusement. It is a city rotten to the core, who exalt their depravities, enabled by the countless men and woman bound in iron to enable them. Or do you want to tell me there is a difference between prying the flesh from a mans bones or having it split by a whip so that he may bring the wine faster?"
-[] "Tell me. Is this the world we want to live in? Where we live and die for the amusement of a few lords and their mad gods? Where we are to spend our lives for empty glory and fleeting pleasures?"
-[] "This world can be more. We can be more. Sorcerers Deep was the first step, but many lay ahead of us. Together we can bring forth a better world. A world that is at peace. A world where no man is valued as if he where a beast of burden. A world where we are free to live our lives instead of toys for those who think themselves our betters. Join me in this task people of Westhaven. Together, we can make it truth."

Thoughts? I thinkg I've got carried away a bit.

Like it. I was whipping out the laptop to write one but you hit many of the same points I had in mind for this. I'm going to save inspiration for a truly epic speech when we take Tyrosh itself and speak to the people.

...eeh, grand speeches are a complete must for us. We must give them whenever we have the chance. We are not building an empire purely on the political scale, we are trying to enact a, dare I say it, cultural revolution in planetos. Where there's no distinction between freeman and ex slave, where outsiders and humans can trade and exercise their rights and citizen obligations together, where Essosi and Westerosi legionaries can share a meal without even a thought to divisivenes.

This is no small task, in fact its a huge endeavor. Our Empire will be like none ever before, and all the greater for it... and to achieve it we need to sell that vision to our people, they have to believe in it like some kind of manifest destiny, and that starts with Viserys' speeches and bullshit diplomacy.

He has the typical greed and air of "We are the dragon" of CE red dragons, and a tendency to renegotiate agreements when he notices that he can get more.

That puts him more in the CE end of the scale.
You could argue he follows his personal code of behavior, that's a lawful bend. Like the Efreeti.

A Mary Sue is a character that comes, solves all problems and has the other 'characters' look like chumps.
Now, look at our voting behavior when it comes to economics or speeches and you.

:???:

Hey, if you have a better speech than Azel's, you are welcome to post it.

Anyway, what the hell will we do with Tyrosh now? It seems this fuck up was because the festival was celebrated before its time, but it could also have something to do with the wine, or its always like this and it merely got boosted by the "sacrilege".

Whatever our plan is for Tyrosh we need to get Sallahador Shan or however its spelled (can we just call him Simbad? :p) 'on board' (heh) our plan. His ships would be very useful in the coming Tyroshi conquest, plus his Sellsails are a cut above the usual pirate and could even serve as some sort of garrison in a pinch (so Tyrosh doesn't go up in flames after we conquer it) while we whip up a loyal city militia from freed slaves.

Relax, MTB meant that as a complement. :p

I'm not entirely sure it was just the bad timing... Take a look at this quote:
"I ask but once from respect to pacts long broken: give back my sisters, sorcerer, and we will leave these lands. Our Father's will has been done and blasphemy has been punished. Refuse and I will eat your heart before your eyes."
What the blasphemy was specifically was never said. It's folly to simply assume that it was because the festival was early. We really should be using Speak with Dead to the max here on the Admiral's skull.

As for Tyrosh itself, I propose we be there for the festival just in case we need to intervene again. For now I want to leave them alone. We're still working on building a proper army.

We need to infiltrate Tyrosh asap. Yeah, we can sink their navy, but at the same time it could be our navy.
And since we can apparently use the VotD + AoN combo safely if it's only for diplomacy, we could diplomance ourselves a new army. :D (granted, only an army I'd trust to keep the peace in Tyrosh)

I wanted to distance ourselves for just a little bit so we could get our laws worked out before we took a Free City (and thus help ourselves a bit regarding how we dismantle slavery in Tyrosh), but better we conquer them than let the entire city fall to Maenads overnight.
