1) but its the same HD, we can get more effects with a single tree.
2) again, same HD, same amount of gifts. Probably.
3) this kinda makes sense, if we have several places to cover, but i think a strong heart tree Will work better than a few weak ones, and we already have one in SD.
I want more trees, but i prefer a few strong ones than many weak ones.
Don't get me wrong. I want one fully-upgraded Heart Tree in the town square of Sorcerer's Deep (with Heart's Ease, Panacea, and Tongues as secondary effects) and then after that the remainder can go to the second Heart Tree wherever that's going to be planted.
I agree with hunting them, but maybe they decide to escape, or we don't find acceptable sacrifice targets.
Point.
I say we use the normal Maenad's to make Heart Trees, but for special Maenads like this one I think we should feed it to Yss, the Heart Tree ritual only care about HD, but Yss eat the entirety of the soul, and so should also get the extra power she has.

Sacrificing a CR 13 monster to get 9 HDs worth of power, just don't seem worth it when we have a sacrifice version that depends more on CR.
Hmmm... This is a good proposal. If we get enough Maenads that we can comfortably grow two Heart Trees then we should do this.
I hesitate to remind you guys of this, but it is possible that the Maenads are unwillingly transformed humans, which is to say victims.
Perhaps, but at the same time they're victims that we have no way of restoring. I bet their souls have been devoured by either the Maenads or Dionysus, leaving the bodies entirely in possession of the Maenads. Dionysus has been enough of an asshole to do that kind of shit before. It is the longest of shots that any part of the victims are still intact in there.

Crazy idea: Build Godswoods on all the islands on the Stepstones, and then actually make the Old Gods rebuild the land they broke some time before.

Wouldn't it be awesome?

I'm down for building Godswoods on all the islands, but I like having our own island. I don't want it to be a land-bridge again. :p

Richard is ridiculous.

We also used Celerity when picking up that noble girl I can never remember the name of. Or at least, that was the vote. If the plan that went forward worked without consequence of the Marid's getting a good detect thoughts on us, I'd have no problem with that.

Wait! Did the gribble use "turn of fate" on our first polymorphy by any chance? That would be amazing, with the celerity and all.

Polypurpose Panacea – d20PFSRD <- An item or two of this, would be lovely

Can we sleep the animals, teleport them (we can carry oursleves + 4 medium or smaller, so leave one of the weaker maynids here) and put them in a hutch or box.

If we are worried about spells, we can pick up vee (assuming dany and lya are watching the pech near the shore, and have raised walls).

Then return and put out fires?

Or cast Pyrotechnics a few times and then leave?

Edit: ffs. victims. those are there to make us look good when we save them (narratively speaking). Sacrificing them is very iffy. I wonder if we know a way to check if they were people or if restoration is possible.

We don't actually have to leave just yet. Once we mop up the remaining Maenads we can just have Dany cast a sending to get Vee over here to help with the teleporting, sleep on our Bedroll to replenish our spells, and then Deep Slumber all captured Maenads and teleport them to Sorcerer's Deep and put them in the anti-divination room just in case. And then we continue where we left in Westhaven and cement our takeover. Also, we need to immediately set Lya to upgrading our +5 Woodworking tool to +10. DP told me in PM that if we spent 750 IM on that he'd let us get the benefits without having to retrain a skillpoint for woodcarving.

I say, let's get enough for one full Heart Tree(the one with Panacea, Heart's Ease and Tongues) and sacrifice the CR 13 one to Yss. In exchange, ask Yss to heal the abberation-tainted people or knowledge on purifying bilestone (or how to handle it safely if we're selling it in Molten Skies)

Can we sacrifice them still even if they're mindless animals already?

They're victims of the Lord of Madness. I highly doubt they can be brought back or restored through any means other than the use of a Wish. Rule of thumb, they should be as hard to cure as the Aberration victims, meaning there's nothing we can do. What I do know is that we've got evil cannibalistic servants of an evil god in our possession.

I really like this idea. It really cements the Renewal aspect for Yss.

This would be a yes. DP confirmed to me that the Old Gods know exactly what we're sacrificing to them, and that the sacrifices will be using the original base HD and intelligence. We don't even have to bother to reverse the polymorph for it to work properly.

Great! Cue in SD citizens sacrificing real foxes and tortoises in worship of the Old Gods.
Bloodraven:  (can't really, he's a tree)

To be fair, restoring them under enough poison to knock them out is hardly difficult.
That works too. :) Even if DP rules that the intelligence debuff from a failed willsave after 24 hours for the polymorphed Maenads counts for the sacrifice (which I'm pretty sure it doesn't given that "the gods know what's being sacrificed"), we could get around that with this method.

[X] Heal until you are fully recovered
-[X] Tyene expends the rest of her 1st level spell slots casting Cure Light Wounds on Viserys.
-[X] Viserys casts Mirror Image on himself, plus Invisibility on Azema. Once Tyene finishes healing him, Viserys will cast Greater Blink on himself.
[X] Leave then with Azema
-[X] Place an Arcane Mark on the Maenad we just defeated. It deserves...special treatment.
-[X] Have her tag along with us while Invisible.

@Tomcost, @Duesal, why don't we make a plant centered Weirwood above the Memory Moss cave? This should have nice effects on the moss and might get us Veggy Pygmies.
That's actually the plan. We only need two more Maenads for a fully-upgraded Heart Tree in the town square SD (with Panacea, Heart's Ease, and Tongues) assuming that we're feeding the CR 13 one to Yss, then after that we need three more Maenads for another Heart Tree with one secondary effect. So, five more Maenads and we're good. And if we get six more we're looking at two secondary effects for the plant-centered Heart Tree. :)

If Tyene casts 7 Cure Light Wounds spells, that will be an average of 63 HP healed, on top of the 37 he got received immediately after defeating the Maenad. That should almost return him to full, but having him cast Mirror Image, Invisibility, and Greater Blink should be enough padding to finish topping him off if Tyene rolls poorly, and it gives him something useful to do while she's healing him.

If we cut off their legs, they might bleed out. Do we have the equivalent of a marker on us? Put a smiley face on it's shell? How long does the colour change from predig-least wish. Easier to spell. How long does that work, an hour, or an hour per level? We could tie a pretty bow on it, that would be nice.

The vote options provided imply strongly that westhaven is not out of the woods yet, and there is a chance that dad will show up to save his precious girls. (Though now that his punishment has been delivered, he might not give a fuck. here's hoping).

Do we really want to leave them in the hands of the CR 5 Alu demon that can't dimension door more than one or two of them, incase a retrieval team/mini-boss is sent? The Alu demon whose suggestion for a party to get people in one place is what set off this... distraction.

The sacrifices are the only thing that make this worthwhile, and, I hate myself for suggesting this, but if they are victims, I would not be surprised if we could get the Old Gods or Yss to take their lives as the fuel needed to restore their souls, and then let them pass on. And any remaining life energy can be used for nibbles/transaction fee.

Ugh. Tor was right. Preparation is key. The prick.

We need: String, strong sacks, magically reinforced fish bowl with lid (how much air can a goldfish (or something easier to capture than a small flopping fish) get from a large jam jar of water? I mean, you can get fish at carnivals in bags... soo), a magic belt for Tyene's poisons

I have a word for you: Sahuagin.

Or we use the lovely Wayfinder to get reacquainted with our friend the Vrock who so rudely left us back in Mantarys.

Let's not go crazy with spell usage. We need as many spell slots to burn up with Versatile Spellcaster so we get the greatest amount of Polymorphed Maenads.

Good point. Plan updated to remove AoN and VotD.

@DragonParadox I've lost track of the spells used so far. Any chance you could tell us what Viserys and Tyene have left in their magic tanks?
