Two more Godswoods means we have enough for one in Saltcliff though. Better aim for quantity and grow one in either Westhaven or Port Sorrow, and Saltcliff.

I wonder, how would we go about dealing them enough nonlethal damage to drop them unconcious for the rest of the day?

Agreed. Let's get as many of these Maenads as we can. Plan for multiple Heart Trees is a go. :D

Also, Tyene hasn't used her curses yet. :) We're in a pretty good position here. :)

Probably in Qohor, when they all sacrifice themselves to the Black Goat (Azel? Is that you?) when they find out we're coming.

I kinda want to avoid Qohor. If anywhere outside of Volantis has the magical chops to slap us down, it's Qohor. They should have both arcane spellcasters galore, as well as the whole Black Goat thing.

We get 5 from the Greater Blink, from then on each spell will bring things closer to normal. Earth-Heart is still fully active.

I'm worried about another alpha strike. If we're taking the time to cast a spell, why not have Tyene cast one at the same time? Cure Moderate, or even Cure Light Wounds would help a lot.

What benefits do we get out of multiple heart trees? I would prefer the extra effect i think.

Places of worship for the Old Gods and spreads their influence. Their power, in some cases, seems tied to how many trees they have and their locations. For example, they broke the Arm of Dorne with their magic, but after losing a lot of Godswoods and the like, they only turned the neck into a swamp.

1. We can diversify which secondary effects we want.
2. Random gifts from the Old Gods. Even if we get more enchanted bones, these are the bones of monsters and not humans so our party shouldn't complain about us selling them as vendor trash in Molten Skies.
3. Planting it in Saltcliff and Sorcerer's Deep will help lessen any lingering Tiamat influence among the populace.

I'm planning two trees. One with Panacea, another with Plant Growth. One for healing so that Vee and Tyene have free time to help us, another so that we can start our magical Greenhouse.

With 48 HD it should be enough for both. That means a single quasit more I think. We can probably teleport to Mantarys and hunt for one if we truly need one.

Why not just hunt for a few more Maenads? Even when we run out of Baleful Polymorph (which will be hard due to Versatile Spellcaster), we can just have Ser Richard beat them bloody and cut off their limbs, and then have Tyene curse them and gag them. We have the biggest sacrifice opportunity we've ever had in the entire quest. Let's not squander it.

EDIT: With more Maenads we'll have more than enough for the second tree with secondary effects. All we need is four more and we're in the clear, and there are definitely at least four more out in the city.

1) but its the same HD, we can get more effects with a single tree.
2) again, same HD, same amount of gifts. Probably.
3) this kinda makes sense, if we have several places to cover, but i think a strong heart tree Will work better than a few weak ones, and we already have one in SD.
I want more trees, but i prefer a few strong ones than many weak ones.

I agree with hunting them, but maybe they decide to escape, or we don't find acceptable sacrifice targets.

I say we use the normal Maenad's to make Heart Trees, but for special Maenads like this one I think we should feed it to Yss, the Heart Tree ritual only care about HD, but Yss eat the entirety of the soul, and so should also get the extra power she has.

Sacrificing a CR 13 monster to get 9 HDs worth of power, just don't seem worth it when we have a sacrifice version that depends more on CR.
