We want to talk with everyone before making a decission, and from a merely pragmatic standpoint the rest of the people we need to talk regarding this wedding either live in KL or are a couple hours away in dragonback, briging here Qoren and having a converstion with him is pretty valuable...

Not sure if he's the option I want as a husband, but I do like the idea of speaking with him at the very least.

It's either him or Breakbones and Breakbones unfortunately doesn't bring with him a kingdom sized dowery.

What issues will this causes for us to hammer out? succession and unpopular with some southern lords? I know that The Stormlands is already pissy at us.

Well, we will the "manageable adventure" in the Dance of fighting the majority of the Reach, The Stormlands + whatever the seat of power of our enemy has (i.e. The Westerlands [if we are fighting Johanna's kids] or Driftmark and its Dragons [if we are fighting Team Daemon/Corlys] if we chose Qoren. Additionaly we might not even get Dorne to kneel to the Iron Throne in the negoitations.

Overall, marrying Qoren is quite frankly a ridiculously poor idea.

I'm not super for this match, but this is the way to actually get his measure, the others we have some vague senses about, he is the unknown, making this the most lucrative. Also its the option that is more us interacting than our father on the matter.

The essence of madness is trying the same thing and expecting a different result. The grandmaester is mad imbecile of a healer who has allowed numerous members of the royal family to succumb to illness under his care. I knew this already but at least we have final confirmation. We need to summon a proper healer to assess Viserys's condition and then bar the quack from interfering. Someday, we'll consign him to the wall.

I hate dorne. It's full of sand, which is Course, irritating, and gets everywhere. I have never allowed myself to be lead into a place like Dorne in my entire life, and if I can, I'll save Rhaenyra from ever stepping foot in such a place as well. To the reach, where grass is soft, warm, and the fields are ripe with plenty, any other time of the year.

I think we can say we royally fumbled our marriage plan through not quite understanding what Approaching Viserys meant. The vote options really need more explanation when there this high stakes @Teen Spirit . Silver lining is it saves us all those prep actions, but it falls woefully short of the ridiculous Qoren Bandwagon occuring.

Dorne match isn't my preference, but they are the biggest unknown, leaving the option unexplored may be better for my own Strong Flag, but it is not diligently exploring our marriage options, and even if the marriage doesn't happen, forming an amicable connection with Qoren may make Dorne more amicable to us in general. It is good to have friends in other countries as a ruler of a country.

To say nothing of what I'm sure is a quite common desire to see how Teen Spirit writes and characterizes Qoren. We've only seen Azel's take on the man so far. Admittedly a similar curiosity also powers Team Rhaenys who (along with Laenor) has had if anything even less characterization.

There's literally an option to just not doing anything right now. Nothing is forcing anything at this moment, you came to Viserys asking his opinions on the matter, he gave them, and now there's the question of if you want to go forward on any of the options.

None of these options are a final decision about who to marry. They're just us feeling out an option to see what sort of terms they'd want for a marriage. Please don't engage in fear mongering.
