Something that just occurred to me, we have just created a way for any experienced wizard of the Colleges to get Runesmith Favor (and thus general dwarf favor if they want it):
  1. Find Gribble
  2. Bleed Gribble
  3. Sell Gribble Juice to Runesmiths
True this is going to be in direct competition with making more orbs, but dwarf favor is valuable too as we have proven throughout the quest.
 
I am feeling rather overwhelmed by choices for everything else, so I am going with a straight upgrade to survivability in sticky situations.

I might have mis-read.

If we conquer the Shattenwald, we don't need this boon to become an Elector Countess, right?

What benefit towards that end would voting "Elector Countess" give?

You'd need the boon. On paper, the land in question is already claimed by provinces and they would argue that you should at most be a Baroness below them, so you need a big solid cudgel of influence to alter that. If you went and carved out a chunk of Norsca or whatever it'd be a different story.
 
I really don't get why the armor is so popular, it feels like it is just a stat stick.

Also @Boney would wearing the armor inhibit our ability to sneak while wearing it?

So how would a college boon do this? The colleges are not involved in elector count-making, right?

Wouldn't the Queekish boon be the right currency for that?
