Again this fantasy that we will be seen as some badass and not mocked, Brienne was a badass warrior and it did not matter one bit.
Besides that, our dragon is literally the foundation of our House's power it's of paramount importancy if we want to be seen as a martial queen.

This is comical cold feet. Brienne was a badass warrior who had no connections, no power, and, as much as I love her, no particular charisma.

Like, the time for your perspective to actually matter was when we chose who we were playing as, and we're in fact playing as the future Warrior-Queen?

We've literally seen actual people who've seen our prowess come to begrudgingly admit that we're impressive! Like, in text!

The Heir Apparent for the Seven Kingdoms shouldn't be compared to a wandering swordswoman from a minor house, who speaks about how her king was totally murdered by shadow magic.

She's also not described as a great looker, and pretty priviledge is alive and well in Westeros.

A dragon is important but you also need to consider there are more dragons out of Targ hands than not. Our biggest rival also has a dragon, and Laena has the biggest dragon, so why not follow them instead of Rhaenyra?

We are lacking a certain Cowabunga it is Energy

we must commit to the bit

furthermore, as such, we should marry a Tully, since ive been told the Tully Gambit worked wonders for Cersei.

(unironically tho, we should absolutely go full knight/warrior queen, the people that arent gonna respect us are never gonna respect us, warrior or no, we are a women and that's enough for them, might as well full send it.

[X] Plan Tourneys, Judgements and Friendships

Really don't think we should be looking for a husband right at this moment with our relationship with Alicent being so new. And I outright refuse to vote for any plan that does not look to enter a tournament.

Also, seeing as the other plan involves doing public training as well, it seems like it's asking to get the negative bits of being an asskicker (being seen as unwomanly) without even bothering to go for the title that carries with it a great deal of prestige and trust.

I also think it's a mistake to go for justice instead of reinforcing the crowns authority but sure.
Reading the text of the options, I don't think that's true. Reinforcing the Crown's authority is shoring up Daddy's weaknesses as a ruler--establishing personal relationships with neglected and potentially rebellious houses. But doing justice is like practice-ruling ourselves, getting everybody used to the idea of our doing so for real. And going by our traits we do have a head for and interest in the law, so we probably wouldn't mess it up.

( @Teen Spirit , did we ever get those books on statecraft from Jeyne?)

Who is this hypothetical lord who is accepting enough of a woman queen that they'd be willing to follow Rhaenyra's cause, but misogynistic enough that public training would permanently set them against us? Even if this lord did exist, they don't exactly seem like stalwart allies we can rely on and need to prioritize.
And more generally, I just don't think that Rhaenyra's position is so weak that we can't afford to step on any toes.

[X] Plan Introducing the Princess-Knight

I slightly prefer this one - it visits Driftmark and chooses reinforcing authority over dispensing justice.

I think trying to go full law and justice is a mistake, Rhaenyra hasn't properly studied for that, and may cause diplomatic incidents.

Crowns authority is safer - Syrax just needs to look intimidating.

This just proves my point no? Being a warrior didn't help with Brienne's reputation because she had no connections and no power so us focusing on getting said connections and power before kicking shit in is what would make the difference.
And again I'm not against eventually doing it, the only thing that I don't understand is why all this urgency? We can just do the tourney after, in Kings Landing, where we have a better chance of actually being knighted.

We have a leg up on Brienne connections-wise just by being the fruit of the King's loins.

Also, if we are doing the "make rulings" thing, we should probably do two study sessions:

Diplomacy
You lack much training but you are naturally charming to many. And you ou have proven yourself capable of resolving complex situations and crisis without violence. A talent which is starting to be noticed.

Administration
You have been decently trained on both matters of coin and the law, though the former holds little interest for you.

Between studying and training and, well, the actual duties we'll no doubt be quite busy, but that's also, like, how it goes? And studying administration while putting it in practice doesn't seem like a terrible idea?

and feeling like risking the judgements

so, if any other plan has those, let me know o/

[X] Plan Tourneys, Judgements and Friendships

The fucking like, cowardice and hand-wring over the fact that we're gonna be a warrior queen is staggering, why would Rhaenyra make herself small for these sexist men who would never back her anyway. being demure and small wont win her any allie when se goes right back to being a warrior in kings landing, they'll hear shes a knight and side against us with someone else, or side with us cause we put em on our marrriage bed. very silly.

I'll also double up, it does just seem odd to scout potential husbands here. shes just gotten a lover and would probably be super uninterested in getting married at the first possible moment. and out of character, it does just feel like a waste of actions when we're probably gonna marry a Strong, Hightower or Velaryon. we should invest in spending time with them instead of scouting out a fucking darry to realize that they would never accept us. it just feels like a waste. and if we get interested in someone they'd probably be able to be grabbed by the friend thing anyway(at least, someone who would catch this Rhaenyra's eye) we're 16. no reason to rush this, most marriages are at 19 or 20.

I will mention i can really tell the difference between these outside of the other main purpose

[X] Plan Introducing the Princess-Knight

This is the better of the two winning plans because it at least understands how the weather and maps work in Westeros. However I still prefer my own plan.

Rhaenyra like to get to know potential husbands before marrying them, the best way to meet them all is during this trip.

I actually think there's kinda an odd sort of synergy with all of these? Like, because she's going to be a ruling Queen, that's always going to be a bridge too far, but...

In her first Royal Progress she is coming with dragon to bear, meeting the important people of the realms and building connections, while dispensing Law and Justice and demonstrating--first in a public manner and then hopefully through winning a Tourney and becoming a Knight--that she is also a warrior par excellence, and thus presumably (though we won't have time to train actual generalship yet) a strong hand who can be trusted to hold tight the reins of rule.

In other words, in a weird way this presents Rhaenerys as a oddly traditional ruler for someone who cannot be anything of the sort!

She is a bold, skilled and true Knight who does not hesitate to dispense justice in a manner hopefully regarded as fair and evenhanded, she nonetheless seeks to build alliances with her fellows, making friends and engaging in the necessary politics, and thus in every way but her gender, she'd present an almost idealized version of what a Good Ruler (TM) would be.

Obviously people would still say that if she becomes Queen she'll replace all of the armies with tea service and the laws with "womanish sentiment" or whatever other nonsense, and obviously SOME people will believe them because we never could have won them over... but I can't help but imagine that it'll be fewer than if we were less traditional/an idealistic view of Kingship but with a Q.

This is something she can do that other version of her would struggle with: being able to fulfill the every positive stereotype of the rightful King.

Only @Falliant & @Dav Inc are saying anything close to that. So don't tar us all with the same brush

The difference other than the purpose is route, Plan Tourney broadly starts in the reach and goes clockwise around the realm, Plan Princess-Knight broadly starts in the Riverlands/Vale and goes counterclockwise. Princess-Knight has set up the route in order to hit the north relatively early in the progress so that we can dodge the worst of the winter, I haven't seen why the Tourney route is set up like it is. If you don't care about route then the only difference is the justice or authority purpose

Yeah Im thinking that committing really hard to looking like the traditional king, a warrior who dispenses fair laws, just works really well for us and making us seem like the choice for heir. Epecially if we can get Blackfyre from dear old dad. Jahaery's Crown would also work really well for our image

I don't think I've been saying that, and if I have been than I've been drastically misstating my point. I am pro training publicly and I don't think training privately will allow us to maintain positive relationships with lords who are against martial women, and I don't think that would be worth doing even if it did work.

I admittedly can't be arsed about the route, but I do think that the Justice purpose works more to allow us to establish ourselves.

AFAICT, it's so we can arrange for the progress to be nearby King's Landing at about the time Johanna is due, so we can nip over to visit our new baby brother or sister and saddle them with a dragon egg so they can't claim a big one laterperform traditional Targaryen sibling rituals.

Both of those plans mean we will (probably) be in the Riverlands when Johanna gives birth. However Introducing the Princess-Knight get the North out of the way early (i.e. before it gets too cold) and leaves the Reach where we are likely going to find a big tourney to last (which means we will more trained for that tourney we want to enter).

Honestly being blunt, considering Autumn's supposed to last 1-2 years at minimum, I'm pretty sure even leaving the North for last is completely fine as long as we leave next turn.

Now, I specifically don't actually care that much, it's the Princess-Knight's unwillingness to have her demonstrate her rulership chops that's making me support the other--it being far better than the absolutely shambolic "Future Queen" plan--as besides that the differences are mostly route-based.
