Honestly not seeing the appeal of a conventional defense chapter. We literally created Steel Champions with that idea in mind just two turns ago. Just feels like we are repeating ourselves and being unoriginal. Rather we go with something like the White Scars idea where they defend the realm by traveling all over instead of just staying in one single spot. At the least it would be trying to be more original than just trying to repeat what we just did with the Steel Champions.

[X] Plan: Void Privateers (Maximum Geneseed edtion)

Going with these to hopefully be more creative/original with the defense ideas and to differentiate this chapter from the Steel Champions more.

Yes. White Scars have affinity for being fast and moving across the battlefield, but that's just it, affinity. Primarchs weren't perfect meat robots that did everything that Emperor wanted, and in turn Space Marines aren't perfect mini-primarchs. Emperor Children succesor Chapter can be better at riding bikes than White Scar succesor Chapter.

Imperial Fist or Iron Warrior Chapter can be just as good at mobile warfare and space boarding or better than White Scar Chapter. I definitely see more potential at defending Ultramar in a Chapter with affinity towards both defensive and offensive warfare than Chapter with affinity at mobile warfare even if idea is interesting. Again, this Chapter will have extra training option, they also can move around and punch bunch of pirates in the face, even if they aren't White Scars.

-[X] The Imperial Fists: A famously stalwart legion, the Gene-Seed of the Sons of Dorn lacks the Betchers Gland and Sus-an Membrane entirely, leaving them incapable of spitting acid as an emergency weapon and unable to enter suspended animation when critically injured, but otherwise is fairly stable. They are renowned as the greatest masters of defense in all the Imperium, and have also begun to fill the role of the treasonous Iron Warriors in siege warfare.
-[X] Legendary Gene-Seed.
-[X] Potent Gene-Seed.
-[X] YT868: A massive network of Dark Age of Technology space stations that have fused together similarly to a more coherent Space Hulk, and become capable of self sufficiently supporting a planet-sized population. Despite this, the void of space is still a very hostile place to live, and the population of this vast station is often under attack due to their home's very nature. (Ultramar Region).
-[X] Adaptive Gene-Seed.

-[X] Creetaz: A planet near Ultramar with a large number of the Abhumans known as Beastmen, whom have lived in shocking harmony with the human population. Normally Beastmen either fall to Chaos or end up in a mutually hostile relationship with baseline humans, but this world seems to have avoided both fates. Additionally, a stable sub-species of Beastman known as Minotaurs have been confirmed as native to the planet, and according to your records, are as large and powerful as Ogryns. (Ultramar Region).

For example, there is Raven Guard Successor Chapter in Canon (Black Guard, but I'm not sure), that's basically "Slealth Optional" meme, because their "combat doctrine" is mainly about "blasting the enemy apart via artillery bombardment"

You do know that we can ignore charges and favor unlocks right?
And then go back to charges, and there is no need to buy legendary charge always.
Also, since we have yet to do any sort of long term plan, why against spending the charges, let's found the strongest chapter in this founding so we are not ignored, we may even get more max points to spend :)

I...have a weakness for trying to see everything and for *maximum gambling*

I *was* going to go back and cut the legendary after this and Undead's comments but voting has already begun.

I'm going to be honest here. I feel like it's really boring to give the DAOT ship to the Imperial Fists because the Imperial Fists proper already have that. I'd much rather see how anyone else handles the situation instead of them.

That being said, Boarding specialists seem the obvious choice for either option. If White Scars wins I'd also like to try Deep Strikes (more go fast, and naval specialty), Librarians (since White Scars have a cool history with them) or blademasters (hahaha, get stabbed losers)

If we can get terminators then I would love for us to use them here. Either for Excessive Space Hulk funtimes or just as a targeted scalpel.

For example, there is Raven Guard Successor Chapter in Canon (Black Guard, but I'm not sure), that's basically "Slealth Optional" meme, because their "combat doctrine" is mainly about "blasting the enemy apart via artillery bombardment"

I keep thinking how fun it would be to run heavy armor with The Raven Guard, if only because I love the thought of them ambushing people with tanks. You expected jump packs? Eat lead loser.
