I don't think that's why we did it, I think we did it b/c Rhea hated him and he wasn't a good husband to her, plus her succession concerns.
If Daemon learns of Otto's involvement, it seems likely he'd assume it was Otto's idea and we're the proxy he's manipulating- he's probably not thinking of us as a player in our own right.
I wonder if Otto can be memed into supporting / at least being okay with Rhaenicent purely to piss off Daemon.
