[X] Fly to Dragonstone. Furious. Your uncle had threatened your position and insulted you and your late brother. You are not going to take this quietly. You are going there and you are going to let your pathetic excuse for an uncle know exactly how you felt.

Unlikely to win at this point sadly, but I do think this fits Rhaenyra's characterization the most.

[X] Fly to Dragonstone. Calm. You just want Baelon's egg back and to put an end to this nonsense. You had been insulted, but you weren't going to indulge Daemon by letting him see you upset.

So if you had stayed in the Red Keep, Daemon would have absolutely murdered the heck out of Otto, the Grand Maester and the Lord Commander of the Kingsguard with Dragon fire before fleeing with his army to the Stepstones to avoid retribution. With Viserys having no choice but to declare him an enemy of the realm.

Well. That certainly would have been a thing.

Can we just, like, come a bit late so that Daemon kills Otto but not the other guys yet?

Well on the one hand we lost a chance of getting rid of Otto, a potential enemy, and killing the whole "Alicent marries Viserys" on its crib...

On the other hand, we have just saved the lives of the father of our best/only friend, our old sworn sword, and a whole lot of innocent mooks; and we have prevented Viserys from declaring Daemon an enemy of the realm which would have put us on debt with the Velaryons (which means marrying Laena and probably Laenor), and probably exacerbated Viserys decay even further...

So I think this is a rather positive outcome for us and our family, even if it makes it more difficult our side objective of wooing Alicent.

Yeah I'd have liked for Otto to bite it here, but Daemon becoming an enemy of the realm simply tips the current balance of power too far in favor of the Velaryons. The crown goes from ostensibly having two dragons to its name Caraxes and Syrax, giving it perhaps a moderate advantage in a potential fight against the Velaryons who have Meleys and Seasmoke, to having only Syrax to the Velaryons two dragons. Without Daemon the Velaryons could just take the crown by force if they wanted to.

Honestly if we can keep Alicent on side that will kill any plans from Otto regarding usurpation.

If we're going to have a romance with Alicent we're almost certainly going to have to keep it secret, which means Otto would still be pushing her to get married to Viserys. If said romance get discovered though, it may end up being our version of the Daemon/Cole scandal in terms of making Viserys lose the last bit of his patience with regards to getting us married, and if its discovered Otto would probably be pressuring even harder for her to get married.

I'd wait for the next update. So far, we only know that Otto survives, but not how.

For all we know we get a big hero moment and arive just in time to prevent him getting incinerated, putting him deep into our debt.

On the upside this sort of affair at least can't result in illigitimate children.

Honestly yeah. Our traits mean that we won't be willing to let go any young love we may develop before our marriage, in which case an affair with a woman at least doesn't bear the same risk of us having obvious bastards as our heirs like Rhaenyra did in canon.
