Okay i think we should not train until we know Tarly's answer. We should read more into our political opportunities now, and once we know wether Tarly can bring our training to the next level, we can pivot back to dreaming about the tourney. Sorry Rhaenyra i'm giving you homework

I've been convinced, it'll be good to cement things with Tarly before fully training, and having the research done now helps later
 
Guys, remember that Rhaenyra is 14, we should definitely keep up with training, but it is still waaay too early to think about tourneys, even if she was a boy...

I like this plan. I think it's important that we get our training in from time to time so we can eventually head into tournies. Plus according to the descriptions in the front page our ability to fight won't just not improve if we don't train, it will actually degrade over time. So I'm giving it an approval vote.

However I'd prefer something a bit different:

Corlys is mentioned in his description as somebody who could help in our ambition to gain a seat on the small council. Added to that is that he is currently troubled by the matter of the Step Stones. If we talk to him we could potentially make a deal with him: He tries to convince the council that we should get a seat, and in return we use our influence with our father to try to convince him that Daemon should be sent to fight in the Stepstones.

We're going to have to get Daemon ejected from Dragonstone at some point. Dragonstone is our castle, and the traditional seat of the heirs of house Targaryen. Having Daemon squat at it hurts our legitimacy as heir. Might as well try to use that as an opportunity to also improve our relations with Corlys and boost our chance for a seat at the council.

Ireally want to get started on fixing our relationship with Alicent because this oes feel like the perfect time to repair it, similar trauma and all but im also a bit leery on letting Daemon squat in our castle like this, angling for elp from Corlys to unseat Daemon and handle the stepstones is something we're really gonna want to push for in the next year or so, and I dont know how much I would want to trust tlking to corlys and pushing a stepstones intervention in the same turn ya know? seems rough to try and make a deal during the same turn we cash it in

There are squires' tourneys, to be fair. But those might not be that useful since none of the contestants are likely to have anywhere near the quality of training and equipment that Rhaenyra has.
