Lahmu tried that, and it sort of worked, but he wasn't able to become a full Nahobino. Not sure if that's because Sahori was snapping out of it and rejecting him or if it's because she never truly consented in the first place.

The only reason I think it could work, is that it sounds like what Lucifer did to YHVH.

I mean, the specific example I gave of forcing it (Lahmu) had used mind fuckery...

    "Um, Mr. Griffon?" You ask him, "Why couldn't Yuma get Mr. Nightmare to come out?"

    "Whuh?" Griffon looks back at you, "Oh, he needs a lot of energy to come out and stay out, and you don't have much right now."

    You look at your feet, taking that in. "Oh. So, Yuma needs to get more energy to wake him up?"

    "...If that's how you wanna rationalize this, then yeah." Griffon flaps his wings, going up higher, "I'm gonna go do what I like to call "minding other people's business" real quick. I'll tell you if I find anything!"

    Without your input, Griffon flies off. "B-Be careful!" You call out, but doubt he heard you.

    Bella sighs, shaking her head as she scans the horizon for any bad guys. Shadow simply flicks his tail.

    "Okay, let's stay here, everyone!" You tell your allies, "That way, Mr. Griffon can find us again!"

    Bella seems happy that you're taking her advice, while Shadow is pretty indifferent to this whole scenario.

    With that in mind, you start preforming some stretches that you saw in P. E. Class today. If you need to run somewhere without Shadow, you want to be ready!

    • The "Pawns" and the insistence that it's Yuma's turn to "move"...are we sure this is Athena? Sure, Chess could be considered a metaphor for war and strategy, but this is also a bit of a roundabout way to drag Yuma to this mysterious voice. If this is Athena, why can't she simply approach Yuma? I'm kind of leaning to the idea that this is someone else, maybe a Witch since those usually stay put in the "center" of their Labyrinths.
     
    Whoever it is, they definitely seem to be treating this like a game. Even patiently waiting for Yuma to make her move now that the mystery entity's initial attack was thwarted.
     
    The only way to move is forward. So here's a preliminary vote to sleep on/modify/ or whatever ya want:

    I think this might just be Yuma expanding her roster as the story progresses.

    • 1. Mami is having a nice day at school, despite having to clean up some of the leftover Disciples. Don't worry, she didn't kill anyone.

    2. Kohaku isn't in the best headspace after everything that's happened, but you've helped her to keep her cool. Without you, she'd probably be catatonic. Or worse.

    3. Kyoko is scared to open herself up. After what happened last time, it's easy to understand why.

    4. Raido is currently helping the Chief report on Hino's death. They both have questions for Yumi and Kohaku. When the Chief saw what remained of the man, he just shook his head.

    5. Nori's Wish was "Give me the might to protect Hanako. Nothing else matters as long as she's safe."

    6. Oriko has recently tried to make amends with Homura over text messaging. She has yet to receive a response.

    7. Shoji knows that you had to kill Kohaku's dad. He's worried, but has no idea how to bring it up without making anyone angry.

    8. Hiroko and Manami are spending a lot of time together, but they mostly just watch movies on the TV in Manami's hospital room. They don't know where the remote is, so they've been stuck watching live action adaptations.

    9. Haruko has been hard at work, trying to "even the playing field" between demons and Magical Girls, but has hit a wall. No, not in the metaphorical sense. She ran straight into a wall while sparring with a demon. She's simply glad no one else saw.

    10. Nagisa is wondering where Yuma ran off to.

    You sit right down on the ground, wiping your forehead. Man, all that stretching has really tired you out!

    After you catch your breath, Griffon decides to show back up, sitting down right next to you. "Okay, everyone! Listen up! I'm back from my recon run!"

    Shadow stares at him, as if to say "Really? I hadn't noticed!".

    "So, I saw some dust, collapsed houses, a wagon, at least eighteen skeletons, and a giant tower filled with cannons." He lists off the sights of this place as if he was discussing the news, "Oh, and more of those knight guys. They shot at me, by the way."

    "So, do we go to the tower?" You ask, bouncing your foot off of the ground, "Or should we stay here?"

    "Personally, I vote to go get that artillery before those jarheads do, but you're the boss." Griffon suggests, which Bella responds to with a nod.

    Thank you, Bella. Now, let's continue.​

    You stand up, and all of your friends take positions around you. "Lead the way, Mr. Griffon!"

    "Fair warning, if you walk slow, I'm ditching you-- Ack!!" Griffon squawks as Bella thumps him on the head with her lance, "I was joking! Don't you have any sense of humor?!"

    ...It looks like you got here before any of the bad guys did! You pump your fist, and--

    Bella stops you before you enter, going inside first. She looks around, and you peek in as well...?

    ...

    "...Mr. Vergil?" You ask, tilting your head, "Why are you here?"

    Vergil sighs, setting whatever he was reading down on the table beside him, "It's a quiet place to read. Why are you here?"

    Was trying to think up a quick summary that sounded like something Yuma would say, but this works, slightly modified to be more Yuma-like.
