There's also a small part of me, not that big, that's somewhat worried about what our higherups might think if we keep finagling with Apparitions. Sure they're not exactly Daemons, but there's a reason the Gold Order were worried about people finding out what they're doing. Considering how many worrying things Mathilde has worked on, and her recent entangling with a Lord of Change, there is a part of me that worries if we do a lot of work on Apparitions, Algard might keep an even closer eye on us.

It's still not a huge concern for me, but it is a thought.
I have similar concerns about dumping the AV book along with Morbs in his lap at once. At least we aren't likely to try and codify this spell at the same time too.

I yearn to wear a groove into the Aethyr with our legend.

@Boney thank you for the endlessly entertaining updates. I found this one very entertaining. Couldn't help but chuckle at Mathilde's Orc impression and her urge to Wizardsplain when Hubert wasn't specific enough in regards to her experimentation.

I always love the worldbuilding you put into every facet of the story when we interact with the magic of the setting. It's so fascinating and entertaining that I continue to desire to push further with our experiments. Who knew Daemonology would be so fun?

I jest. I'm into Daemonology only insofar as it doesn't involve the Chaos Gods. I know we probably aren't going to end up working with more Apparitions, even if some might be willing to work with Handmaidens. We already got what we wanted out of Apparitions, and it'll take a lot of convincing to push the boundaries further when we have so many other things to do.
I for one will push for the Black Essence down the line in order to strip any poor sod of their bodyguard via everyone around the target suddenly having their mouths and noises blocked by solidified apparition stuff. Suffocation is nasty, no one will protect you when being around causes an unfortunate case of not-breathing.*

*Undead, daemons, and other unbreathing entities excluded

Dämmerlichtreiter being too on the nose isn't the problem, but that it's a seventeen letter, five syllable lead ingot of a word that doesn't mean anything except itself is.

It'd be quicker and easier to pronounce and more fun to say if we literally called it "The Mathilde Weber".

I'd love for the spell to be named Daemmerlichtreiter, but I fear that the Daemmerlichtreiter spell is going to take away from the Daemmerlichtreiter legend. The spooky folk tale suddelly becomes less spooky when it's a codified spell

There may come a time where many Grey Wizards can summon a Dämmerlichtreiter but there will only ever be one the Dämmerlichtreiter.
