Springtime of Nations II: A European Republic Quest

I don't think they'll let us have Austria AND Poland, and I think we can ill afford to give the Russian army a break at this point.

We need the break as much as the Russians do, if not more really. Or are you just ignoring how we've been pushing on all our fronts for a FULL YEAR. Unless we want to suffer disproportionate causalities due to supply issues, we'll want to take this ceasefire.

@Etranger what's the position of the Entente right now? Could they intervene if the Alliance goes after all of Austria?

Also can Germany continue attacking Austria while in peace talks?

Also, let's not ignore the international ramifications of just rejecting the peace talks. It's one thing for us to do the peace talks, and then reject the final settlement. It's another to just outright refuse it without any serious consideration.

[X] Enter into negotiations.

We need time to rest and replenish, we're approaching logistical trouble with our massive gains.

Just go hardliner in negotiations to torpedo negotiations. And if they accept the hard line, win-win.

We're not breaking Russia this go around, it's not actually WW1. I think we can swing Austria and Poland.

Can't tell if negotiating and then saying no would be better than just saying no, but I think it might be in order to grant our forces in Galicia a respite and allow us to rebuild our material stockpiles for a new attack come spring and summer.

Depends on who we think benefits most from a break. Sure, our forces in Austria are battered and our supply situation is tense, but the Russians just crashed themselves over our defences and our mostly fresh allies are here to take point against Austria.

I'd like to take Konigsberg at the very least, and I think the Russians are exhausted enough we can do it this turn even with our low stockpiles.

Also I don't really want to give Vienna back and I don't think keeping it will be on the table without at least one more turn of them failing to make ground.

They need time more than we need time. They just failed a large offensive, we can strike back even with limited forces and make gains.

Also, we're pretty much throwing away any chance of ever freeing the rest of the imperial league territories in the next half century if we take the peace right?

Russia industrial colonies will still be intact and they've started to learn how to conduct defensive operations in a way to replicate the sort of ww1 style fortifications necessary to stop these sort of lightning offensives, which they'll certainly start to implement by the time of future wars.

Any proposal above 0 Leverage (+1 or more) will be automatically accepted, with bonus effects to international relations if the Leverage total is positive. Zero or negative Leverage proposals will be subject to potential rejection, counter-proposals, or, if accepted, negative international relations penalties. Any proposal below -2 Leverage (-3 or less) will be automatically rejected. Any bonuses or penalties will be determined by the nature of the winning proposal.
Hmmm

@Etranger Do we know how much leverage we'll have in this potential peace conference, and how many minuses, say, dissolving the Quadruple Monarchy edit:+ liberating Poland would get?

The Entente is maintaining their stance as a neutral party at the moment. You have no further information.

The negotiations come with a winter cease-fire, as mentioned in the post.

Hardly. Vienna, as Étranger stated earlier, is a symbol of the imperial project of the Hapsburgs. With it gone, it's very likely to collapse the rest of the empire. It's not like any of the other parts of the empire like Hungary would be happy hosting the hapsburgs.
