By the way, would Stephen know about our bloodline or not? Cause if he doesn't know, what are the chances of our grandparents knowing?

I doubt they just have that information lying around.

Considering these are Stephen's notes on us that he has no idea wtf we are. If Stephen does know about our ancestors and asks this question than our traits are clearly unrelated.

In all honesty, I'm more inclined to think of some weird thing where there is a Demon running around that's linked to Yumi as it's origin or something.

Not particularly thrilled with the current vote. I just don't see a reason to bring it up with Kohaku right now. If we want to ask about it, it should be to either Raido or Yumi's grandparents themselves.

NON CANON: And Madoka...

    Mido looks at you.

    Neither of you speak for a while.

    "Well, this is certainly interesting...!" He says, fidgeting with his keyboard.

    "You summoned Madoka." You reiterate.

    "I have."

    "...Where am I?" Madoka asks, looking around Mido's apartment. "Who are you?"

    "Madoka, it's me! Yumi? Yumi Konishi?" You approach, but stop as she eyes you cautiously.

    "Hm... You're not from around here, are you?" Mido suddenly asks.

    "Again, where am I?"

    "This is Mitakihara--?"

    "Hm? Yumi, what are you doing... In...?" Madoka pokes her head through the door, and sees herself. Her voice trails off.

    Both Madokas look at each other, violently confused.

    You have no idea how to react.

    You sit down on a rooftop, watching the city. Everything has been so...

    ...Chaotic. Yumi, demons, summoning, new magic...!

    You sigh. You should be prepared for anything now.

    Roll with the punches, Homura.

    Your phone buzzes. Sighing, you take it out of your pocket, wondering why your moment of peace was disturbed...

    >Walking Disaster Area: Hey come to house we found Madoka duplication

    What.

    Five. Five minutes.

    There are now five Madokas in this room. You aren't sure what Mido was thinking, and at this point, you're too confused to ask.

    Your Madoka (Referred to as Madoka) is horribly uncomfortable.

    The second Madoka (or Doka) is simply a normal girl. No summoning, no Magical Girl power, nothing.

    The third, called Mado, is a Magical Girl. She has a bow made of roses as her weapon, and is unsurprisingly dressed in all pink.

    The fourth Madoka (Simply called Kaname) is... She tries to be cheery and hopeful, but there's a clear weariness to her. To be honest, she reminds you of Homura.

    Last but not least, is the one that refers to herself as Madokami. She has a long, flowing dress, and...

    ...Oh, Homura's here!

    "Yumi Konishi, what the hell is this?!"

    You shrug. "Ask Mido."

    Our grandparents would definitely know about Yumi's bloodline because grandpa was the previous Raidou. That means he was pretty much one of the bigshots of the clan. And even if he didn't he can ask Gouto-Douji aka the first Raidou. Whom Tremendous has confirmed keeps tabs on Yumi's uncle.

    And I reiterate, I have no expectation of them being able to explain whats so special about Yumi. This is just an in character reason for her to ask the right questions to get the in character Kuzunoha infodump. Her getting the answer she's asking for would bean unexpected bonus.

    As for Stephen? He doesn't know everything, so I can see him agreeing that it wouldn't hurt to ask.

    This specific conversation is to get the ball rolling ao to speak. Having Yumi "pass around the idea to see if anyone else thinks it's a good idea" before actually commiting to it. This is a perfectly normal thing that people do.

    Yumi: I believe she was established as being a Kirby main back at the arcade.

    Sayaka: Probably Lucina from 4 on and Marth before that.

    Kyoko: No idea.

    Mami: Samus? Only one with a good long-range attack that I can think of.

    Madoka: Jigglypuff? I imagine she would go for what looks cute without thinking about how the character plays, and Kirby is taken.

    Homura: Has probably never played before.

    Kohaku: Same problem.

    Yuma: Has yet to settle on a main due to having only played the game once.

    Everyone else: Absolutely no idea.

    "Hey, Kohaku!" You take a bite of your omelette, "Is there anything you wanna do today?"

    "After we discuss the Disciples situation, you mean?" She replies, playing with her hair, "Not really. I mean, I'd like to relax at the park, but besides that..."

    "Eh, we can just wing it for today!" You smile at Kohaku.

    "Isn't that what you do every day?" She responds coyly.

    "Fair, but it works!"

    You take another bite, and have a thought. "Say, Griffon, how common are Nightmares anyways?"

    "I mean, including me, I've only ever seen four." He adjusts himself on the couch, "And I'm the only one of them who can talk, by the way. Weird, right?"

    "So, we won't have to worry about finding one in the "wild"?" Kohaku air quotes the word.

    "I wouldn't bet on it, but you guys are weird. Physical manifestations of trauma brought about by crazy magic demon swords aren't too commonplace, no matter how weird you guys are!" Griffon pecks at the TV remote. "C'mon, stupid thing! I wanna watch the news!"

    Yuma finishes her omelette, and hops off her chair, heading to the shower. The cane that Griffon apparently came out of rests near the head of her bed.

    You try to take another bite of omelette, but discover that you've already eaten all of it. You've been getting lost in thought recently...

    Before you can ponder any more, Kohaku swipes your plate and makes her way to the sink.

    "You want some help? I can't let you do all the work!" You offer.

    "No, I've got it!" Kohaku smiles at you, "Just relax, let me do something for you for once!"

    You sigh, sitting back down.

    Seems like Griffon got the TV on, and the sound of some morning talkshow fills the room.

    [X] Look through your stuff around the house like an RPG protagonist. Sure you probably won't find anything really useful like a flashbang or an anti-tank rifle, but you never know what memories you might find.


    (Ps: The flashbang and anti-tank rifle are jokes about some of the random shit you can find in an RPG villager's home. Mostly. Yumi does have a non-zero chance of having owned a grenade.)

    True true. I missed the "make" part. Though with Yumi's current running speed, the cycle would probably only be good for long distance travel lol.

    You see some boxes that you've (still) neglected to unpack. Maybe you should look through, just to be safe. Worst case scenario, you dig out some of your older clothes!

    ...Oh, hey! It's that old photo album Shoji put together back in the sixth grade! You were wondering where this went...!

    You crack it open, and take a look at all of the memories Shoji captured...

    "Child of man, can you hear me?"

    Unresponsive. That girl did a number on this one...

    "I would like to make a deal with you."

    Unresponsive. Her breathing is slow, nearly unnoticeable. Her eyes make their way to you.

    "My terms are as follows, so listen well. You will act as my Godslayer, and do my bidding. You will do as I instruct without hesitation. In return, you will be granted--?"

    "You...!" She says in a raspy voice, "Why... Do you...?"

    "It's quite simple." You shouldn't have to explain this to a mortal, why are you humoring her? "Humans are granted the greatest power of all. They can observe the world, and imprint emotions onto--"

    "You feel... Famil... Iar..."

    "Familiar?" You repeat.

    "Why...?" She barely speaks.

    You stare at her, face deathly still.

    Now that she mentions it...

    You reach the last page, where you find a certain picture. In this photo...

    [] ...Is Kohaku, who seems incredibly awkward being the focus of the shot.
    [] ...Is Shoji, taking a selfie. He seems honestly happy.

    [] ...Is the whole group. Shoji, Kohaku, and you! Dad took this one!

    You smile, closing the scrapbook. That was a nice trip down memory lane...

    You get up off the floor, and step out of the room. Yuma's almost ready for school, and it seems Kohaku has jumped in the shower.

    Yuma looks like she's lost in thought, kicking her legs off the side of the couch. Griffon has retracted his wings, leaving space enough for Yuma.
