Well Lucien just helped in a good way at least. Found out where the enemy was. Well it finally time to have that talk with Lord Stark. So while we can use our Dragon fire we are still using our Dragon right?

Well the thing is, we can use the dragon to take out the sails. Even Daemon said that. But that will depend since we are not going to have a lot of things to do.
Well we don't have the name, and we technically aren't a bastard.
At least in our fathers eyes.
Only thing Lucien could do is use his dragon to make sure ships don't escape. Most the same for Daemon.
Eh by law Lucien is a bastard. Gael and dad didn't get married so Lucien Waters....unless they did? People still love him. Still a aknowledged royal bastard got influence.

Valaar bribed a septon and stormsinger to have the stain of bastardy removed from Lucien.

Only Gael and the old King know besides our father know that little bit of interest, but...

I mean Jaehaerys did reveal Lucien being Gael kid so he didn't reveal it? So what about the septon and stormsinger? Or this a possible reward before Jaehaerys kicks it?

He did, however in a way where people are confused, and due to his failing mental capacity, thinks that he's... losing his marbles.
But the Old king planned for that.
Because this is the old king we're talking about, and even with losing his mind to dementia, does not mean he didn't plan ahead for our potential role in the new regime.

Huh. Well it would have it's benefits. Increase Lucien prestige and influence. Also put him in front of Saera's line. While Saera's is a legitimate Targ her kids are still bastards. So Lucien being a Targaryen in name would push him past Saera's line in the succession. Which would probably piss her and her kids off.

The thing is, the old king has a plan. And it will be a clearly... interesting one that will not have consequences for the rest of the quest.

But then again, there are other rewards you can possibly take.
Rewards that are more material, and awesome.
See I see those rewards as something we can always get later. Land we can get from the Stepstones. Money from the land or doing our duty. But getting the Targ name early in my opinion is worth its weight in gold. Prestige, Influence and Legitimacy.

Only, I know the rewards, and you don't and let me just say, that is not the best reward you can get in terms of what you can gain for yourself, and for preventing shit in Westeros.
True. Hmmm well the eggs aren't going anywhere and don't even know if we can pick more than one reward.
Alone it wouldn't be the best reward yeah. Though I'm going under the assumption this isn't gonna be the only time Lucien will get rewards. And Lucien is only 7/8 currently so got time.
Edit: Hmmm is Jaehaerys willing to bribe Lucien for supporting whoever he wants to win the Great Council? Because if so I'd be pushing for dragons eggs or Targaryen name depending on if the other was pick from getting rewarded.
