Altogether decent reactions, though I do love the fact that the Ironborn are so pissed that a nontargeryan that wasn't from Pyke got a dragon, I guess we know where obvious enemies are,
Well the thing actually is two fold:
One it was a nontarg that wasn't from Pyke, whom was really hoping that one of the lads from the Iron Fleet could go to the Dragonstone, and then try to tame it. Now there is only Sheepstealer and Cannibal. And Cannibal might not be the best for the health of anyone.
Especially since he's expanded his diet to human children... or attempted to.
Two: See the Ironborn are scared because they know the reputation of our father, a badass sea captain. They see it as the Crownlands, and particularly, one crownland captian in particular, trying to play politics to get more power into the Royal Fleet, and out of the Ironborn hands.
Crownlands loving us is to be expected being the imperial core,
The Dragonseed (Or rather VAlyrian minority) are extremely happy that one of their own now has a dragon. Gives them hope, as well as a very big clue that the political situation will change.
And by Change, I mean: Oh boy, more dragons.
the reach is disappointing but not surprising,
It's the Reach. They are disappointing and not surprising.
the Northmen might be friendly is a good thing
The Northmen also have Cregan. And that means they will always do the sane and sensible thing. As long as he actually gets to power from his uncle.
Nymeria coming up to court is interesting and a potential opportunity for… something I'll think of later but this is a good thing (I think).
INB4 we cause an international incident.
Now the Lannesters are interested but incomplete in their knowledge and we should act to take advantage of that in whatever form we can, more friends is better.
Well there is always telling them the truth.
That always works for a political faction that is based entirely in wealth
All other reaction being muted I'd say this was a very decent set of reactions, the obvious stuff we have to look out for is spies from the Westerlands and dudes that smell like salt and fish, figure growing up near the sea might help with that.
Well we live on Dragonstone, so the salt and fish is also around the natives.
"Huh. Dragonseed with a Dragon in Dragonstone."
"Sounds like cause for a drink"
"Aye. Barkeep, a round for me lads"
Later
"Hmm. You think a Dragon Rider would make a good son-in-law?"
"Don't rightly know. Lotta drinking at weddings tho."
"Aye. They do serve a lot of ale and wine at weddings. Might as well marry my daughter to him."
You know, I was about to make a skit about the Baratheon's more like they were all having a grand old time with fights going on outside the feast halls by the lords who have daughters and want them to meet this silent kid to marry.
The Starks continue to be the best dudes ever.
There's a reason they are my favorites alongside the Targaryans.
Just because they sometimes have their moments, they are always the most pragmatic bastards in the room.
Even when there are other options.
They just want to be left alone.
I can already see the Targaryen reaction.
No no no, to the seven hells no.
Oh they will do more then that. They still remember many of the dornish crimes against the seven kingdoms.
The dornish wars as they are called.
That's my reaction, too.
Screw Dorne.
Unless your Viserys the third, and then you screw all of Dorne.
Yeah the Targs would never allow the Martells to get Lucien. They'd rather go to war than allow them a dragon rider.
No, they would start a war of conquest then even allow the Martells to meet with Lucien.
Remember, Aegon's work is not finished yet.
[X]Saera Targaryen: The Wandering Dragon, a famous Whore now in the City of Volantis. She was… difficult. But she was also a woman who loved your father in the end. She was always competent, and compassionate, but she did not raise you. Your father wanted a son that he could care for, to carry on his own legacy. She let you go when you were but a babe, and you have never met her.
Remember to vote for the plans of what we do as well.
