[X] In Hinterlands of Mantarys to take advantage of the nearby Valyrian flames eventually

Consensus was that we should diversify our asset locations and we already got a sharp reminder of what can happen otherwise.

Excellent!

What do y'all think about Lya using that XP to finally create her 3rd body? 2,000 XP is the cost for it, and she will still have a comfortable cushion of XP to prevent de-leveling.
I'm all for it, but how would we equip her with gear in the new system? There's a baseline protection she absolutely needs. Mind Blank, Soulfire Bracers, etc.

We have plenty of the essentials in surplus, plus enough crafting capacity that it can basically be handwaved, as far as I'm concerned. The new system abstracts it all away, given the faster passage of time, increased resources, etc.

The new body should be fully equipped within a few weeks of being created, and would have the bare necessities immediately.

As long as it is not too excessive (say, millions of IM in a turn), that's indeed intended to be handwaved.

It's not as if there was much of a bottleneck for anything below artifact-grade gear before the system change either.

Why not in Saltcliff? It's relatively closeby, between two major bases (SD, and Westhaven) and regularly patrolled by vessels.

We can also add a self destruct function in case of a total breach with minimal damage to anything else. Also would do wonders for it's economy.

[X] Saltcliff, deep within a cleared out salt mine.

Uhhh… Lack of sufficient wards? Wherever it is, it will need to have full wards.

@Azel, I have Forge questions.

1. "Normal" forges like the Flesh Forges and the Fungus Forges tap into Leylines to power themselves. But they aren't the only kinds of Forges. There's also Water Elemental Forges (which we've got in the Temple of the Merling King). And now there's a Fire Forge. How are they powered? Do they also tap into Ley Lines?
2. Could we make Dragonstone a military installation and just build the Fire Forge inside the volcano directly?
3. What's the action cost for building a Forge, either Flesh, Fungus, or Elemental?
4. For the elemental forges, is it possible to build them in their native planes? If we did that, would we get a corresponding production boost? I am of course assuming this is going to be a hell of a lot more challenging to defend, this is just exploring options.

1. Not really. They are drawing elemental energies from their respective planes. They are mimicking the natural process in which these raw energies form a living being.
2. Should work. Check back with DP to make sure.
3. You can't build new Fleshforges, just expand existing ones. See military infoposts for pricing.
4. Elemental Forges are a tactical level thing, so they are not represented by strategic buildings and likewise have no production value. That's simply the result of being vastly more limited in what they can do than a Fleshforge.

So, the three Flesh Forges that we have right now are all that we'll ever have, until and unless we start reclaiming stuff in the heart of Valyria?

Maybe. Maybe not.

For all you know that knowledge had been intentionally destroyed even before the Doom out of fear what the fleshcrafters might do with it.

On the other hand, you have three functional examples of these things and the Valyrians must have somehow invented the things, or learned how to make them from someone else.

So...

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

If you will ever be able to make more depends on what you want to invest and in which direction you want to invest it.

Okay, now I definitely prefer to deck out our ancestral volcano.

The scarcity of Wards is starting to reveal how vulnerable we are. We need to research ward production ASAP!

We need a lot of wards to protect our new forge.

Azel covered this earlier. We don't have to research this, it's already unlocked. It's only a matter of producing the wards as fast as possible.

Whoops must have missed that in my first binge.

Let's research faster ward production then! (Cheaper if possible too, maybe it is easier to put wards on the walls like the First Men?)
If planar empires who are thousands of years old haven't discovered any improvements we sure as hell won't.

Though combining both the wardstones and rune wards won't hurt

Just for the record, since it's part of the leading vote: You don't have any unassigned Wardstones. The second part of the vote can't be done, unless you add where to take one from.
