[X] Constellation's Accompaniment

This is a really interesting effect with an incredible number of tactical applications, and I think it fits Qi's focus on teamwork and family perfectly.

It's also moving in a direction I favour for dealing with the heart demon; instead of leaving our family behind, we teach them and empower them to stand with us.

[X] Constellation's Accompaniment

Gave it a think and I don't feel the additional ability in stealth and formation by-passing provided by MME is better than the ability to provide our techs to our allies with CA.

This isn't possible. Constellation's Accompaniment only works on people at most one realm below us. Mom is 2 realms below us.
She can't do that, she needs to be at most one realm above the other party. Ling Qi is a Green, so she can't give her mother any powers with Constellation's Accompaniment.
Thank you for clearing that up. I'd completely misread it, and understood this as a limit on empowering stronger people.
[X] Merry Moon's Eye
Let's have some sneaky spy action then!

I think Constellation's Accompaniment will either be forgotten in text or nerfed to oblivion.
Every time one of our allies uses one of Ling Qi's techniques in a fight is a scene where they could have used their own cool technique, it would lead to us seeing less abilities from our friends when fighting alongside them already is so rare.

It's worth noting that we don't actually have any actual stealth aspects in RME yet. Our wisps aren't necessarily sneakier than if Meng Dan cultivated this Art, and we're kind of taking for granted that they will be. Even with the Accompaniment our main use of the wisps is still as a sneaky perception ability, and I would like them to be a thematic extension of our Stealth. Like, Vanish is our Advanced Stealth Skill and it allows us to disperse into a cloud of Qi, so imagine if Ling Qi in the fourth realm sneaks not like a human but as mist, shadows and moonlight moving through all the hidden of her surroundings. If we want to move not just as a invisible cloud but as darting wisps of mist, not as a human but as innumerable phantoms, Merry Moon's Eyes lays the groundwork for slivers of our Self being just as sneaky as the entire whole.

I like the Accompaniment. I like the idea of being able to put pieces of our Self with others and acting through them and the wisps are natural candidates of that, and just like with making our wisps stealthier I don't know if we may do something like this again. But just plain giving our techs to others feel to much like a game mechanic right now. It doesn't feel like teamwork to have others use the Hoarfrost Refrain, it's Ling Qi using her power through her allies rather than Ling Qi and diverse companions combining their strengths. I'd be much more okay with Accompaniment if it only allowed self-buffs and self-affecting things like Black Mirror and West Wind Step. It'd be Ling Qi helping her companions be better at what she's good at and protecting them, while their actual actions in a scene is still their own things.

I don't know. Accompaniment is definitely sexier, but I wish it was more conservative. But I like both of these so maybe sneaky wisps can continue to be largely implied narratively rather than mechanically.

Let it nod be said that they did not exact their blood price!

it noT be

[X] Merry Moon's Eye

Because really, one Km. Also, bypass now is "merely" sometimes convenien as I understand it (Even our level nobles can obtain B or A level security from specialists), but there are still otherwise specialized spirits, commoners and created-for-a-day slap-jobs. And then we can go for better bypasses.

Accompaniment... single-use AoE is most of the time weaker than single-target attack.

Examination may be single-target harrasement or debuff, but Eye is better.

Side-thought: Can we put wisps over enemy's eyes?

Side-thought 2: create sign-language with wisps to make communication with allies who see them.
